It began with a virtual consultation with Nadine and Sofia to go over the details of the photoshoot and next steps. Since I am pregnant and also have two boys, I wanted the photoshoot to be special by capturing our growing family. We decided on a maternity and family holiday photoshoot, which included variety of backgrounds and outfits. The next step was scheduling a in-person fitting prior yo the shoot to try on a few dresses. Sofia put together a styling sheet and provided suggestions on what to wear for my family to coordinate nicely. Sofia also provided a timeline on the day of the shoot, which was very helpful. As a busy pregnant working mom, the best thing about this entire experience was getting professional hair and makeup done at the studio! Shoutout to artist Veronica for making me feel and look my best. I have done two sunrise family photoshoots in the past, and I absolutely do not have the energy, time, or desire to get ready on my own. I also had a maternity in-studio photoshoot done last year, I had to go get makeup and hair done in two different places, then drive an hour, which by then my curls were no longer holding. Not at Sachiko Studios, they will take care of you from beginning to end, and you will feel fresh. After getting hair and makeup done, we did a quick maternity photoshoot session. My family met us at the studio and we did the holiday photoshoot. The in-studio photos of our family portraits turned out lovely. For outdoor shoot, we drove to Bradbury's Bridge, which was about 15 min away. I loved the fall and natural backdrops. Having the option of doing an outdoor photoshoot was great because it captured our active kids candidly. Nadine was so great with my kids! She was able to capture my youngest looking happy and all smiles. She rewarded my oldest for being good at following directions.

Finally came to a place in my business where I felt like I needed some professional branding…read morephotos. My business is ALL me and I needed help capturing what I do to launch on my website. My photo session included hair and makeup by one of Nadine's stylists, Quendy (highly recommend!!) and wardrobe! That really helped because my closet consists of leggings and sweaters lol. We did 3 outfit changes, Nadine shot some of my products, and action shots with a model. Nadine made the whole experience very comfortable and fun for someone who is *really* shy and prefers to stay behind the camera. I love how my photos came out and excited for another photo session in the future!

I recently attended NPPE's second expedition this year into the Mojave National Preserve and was…read moreabsolutely thrilled with the entire trip! Our guide and instructor took our small group into places I never would have imagined inside the Preserve. While I was expecting to have a little bit of our time focused on the educational aspects of post-production, it turned out that we were split our time about 50-50 between editing and going out into the field and taking photos which was perfect for me. The small class size provided ample one-on-one mentoring with a certified instructor who was able to teach us many of the best-practices on image handling and post processing. Not only did I come back with some great images to send to the print shop and share with my family and friends on social media, but I returned with new editing skills and a fresh workflow combining LightRoom with Photoshop. Simply put it was an amazing trip, I learned more in 5 days than I had in the last year of taking classes and weekend workshops. The whole experience was customized to the needs of the group, starting with the phone calls before the trip to discuss what I wanted to accomplish, through adjusting the schedule while we were in the Preserve, and the follow-up calls afterwords. Small group size, 1 on 1 mentoring, trip tailored to the individual needs and desires of our group, instructor knew the area extremely well including knowing what time of day to be where to capture the right light on the scenes. Still riding the photo high from a trip that ended a month ago. Can't wait to attend my next expedition, probably one of the Utah trips whether it's Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, or Grand Staircase-Escalante. And I'm definitely going back to the Mojave National Preserve.

The location was actually pretty easy to find after receiving an email from someone letting us know the day before the location had changed. The class I will say was informative and definitely what someone with no experience should look into. For me personally this was very basic of stuff I am already aware of but found it helpful either way being I had an instructor right in front to ask questions. Plus, it was great to get a reminder of and different point of view from other people. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone that wants to "up" their camera game!

He even told me - upload it to UK website using desktop not your phone..... I was in and out in about 20 mins - the UK government accepted my image - my passport is being printed..... He texted me to let me know film was ready to pick up. I texted back to clarify - if I dropped 3 rolls do I get 3 stamps? He replied extremely aggressively and said "you're not special" and "you're not going to do that" THEN said "stop texting me" (OK but you texted me first?). Perhaps clarify the conflicting information on your punch card? Or don't reply so rudely especially when I just spent over $100 at your establishment? Bummer.
