We have friends who normally work remotely from Open Door and they say it's typically quiet. Unfortunately for my wife and I, on the day we visited it was packed with a group of loud high school-aged girls who were very noisy chatting and clapping...I couldn't wait to get my coffee and get out. There were some adults in there who had their laptops open and I'm sure were trying to concentrate but I don't see how while we were there. Nice place. We would like to give it another try when it's not so full of boisterous teens.

She was openly rude, unprofessional, and acted like helping customers was a burden. No greeting, no basic manners, and an attitude that made the interaction uncomfortable from start to finish. When I asked a simple, reasonable question about my order, she responded with visible annoyance and dismissiveness. It wasn't just a bad day vibe it was outright disrespectful. Customer service is literally the job, and Keira failed at even the bare minimum. I expect mistakes. I don't expect attitude, sarcasm, and a complete lack of professionalism. Starbucks sets a standard, and this employee fell far below it. Management seriously needs to address this, because behavior like this drives customers away

Bottom line, I think Heartwood is a good coffee shop overall, but doesn't have the stocking or efficiency of a coffee shop I would rate in top shops.
