I have been coming here for laser treatments and for haircuts for a while…read more Natalie, the laser technician, is very sweet and helpful. She is always willing to offer skin care advice. Tara cuts my hair and I do not trust anyone else to come near my hair with a scissor. She always does an incredible job and recommends great products for my hair as well. All of the other hair stylists are very nice and willing to offer advice. The girls at the register are pretty snobby and uninterested and if you aren't dressed and looking nice you'll get some looks from them. Personally doesn't bother me but I have spoken to other people that get put off by it

I sat in his chair and ask him to please give me a full head of foils and to make sure he doesn't leave much natural in between. I also asked him to clean out my ends because it's a bit brassy (being a hairdresser myself I know exactly what I want and how to tell someone what I want). He started doing the foils, after the 3rd one I had to tell him again to make sure he stacks them and doesn't leave much natural in between. After coming back from the basin he started to cut my hair, I sat there thinking maybe after he cuts my hair he'll clean out my ends but no he didn't. He started to blow wave my hair I asked him to please put some curls/ waves in my hair. He told me it was too late. No it's not! All you had to do was use a curling tong after blow waving my hair. Or at least ask me how I want my hair styled before styling it. Customer service needs attention too. Anyway I'm not happy. I like my cut but I need to go get more highlights to achieve the look I want!

I'll admit - I have haircutophobia. Haircutophobia (n): Fear and anxiety over having to get a…read morehaircut, and putting off getting a cut as long as possible. Also, fear of scissor-happy hairdressers who take off too much hair and don't listen to your wants and needs. You may ask, "Why Mandi, what caused you to get haircutophobia?" I'll tell you a story. I was four, and I had lovely long, long, curls. My older brother was growing bored of cutting the hair of his teddy bear, so he thought it would be wise to attempt his newfound skills on his kid sister. Guess who started kindergarten that year with an awful bowl haircut to her ears? Yep. This girl. Sigh. As such, ever since that fateful day, my quest for the perfect hairdresser has been on. I realized I had bookmarked this place some time ago, and with an upcoming vacation I decided to call. I asked the receptionist who she recommended for long hair, and she said "Michael". Conveniently, he was available for an appointment the following day at 10:30 am. I came in this morning and met Michael, who recognized me from Sephora days, and I recognized him as well. We were off to a great start, and I immediately felt comfortable. He talked to me about what I wanted and we had our game plan. This is the first time ever at a salon that the person who cut my hair, also washed and blew out my hair. I was VERY impressed with this, as many salons will have one person shampoo you, then you get your haircut, and sometimes another person will blow out your hair. I have A LOT of hair, and I knew it can be a pain to have to blow dry but Michael loved it and said it was one of his favorite parts of doing hair. Umm...then wouldja mind coming by my place every a.m. to do it? Pretty please? I never felt rushed and the total time spent from start to finish was about an hour and fifteen minutes. Michael gave me an AMAZING haircut, I feel like a total superstar. Watch out, Beyoncè! Mandi's in town! This is one of the best, if not THE best, hair cut I have ever had. I've received many compliments already, my parents loved it, the boy loves it, I love it. And as an added bonus, I ran into a few people that I hadn't seen in a very long time at Target afterwards looking fab-u-lous. Don't ya just love that feeling? Thanks for curing me of haircutophobia, Michael!

The vibe is very casual and friendly, and you can expect to be pampered. Coffee is available, as well as soft drinks -- along with some "adult only" hard cider-type beverages which are in a mini-refrigerator. I moved to another salon to support a friend of mine. Unfortunately she didn't have time for me when I needed my hair done so I reached out to this place again. Their pricing dynamic is absolutely ridiculous. I was told that even if I got highlights or color I would be charged $50 FOR A BLOW DRY. I'm sorry what? You're going to color my hair but then charge me to dry it? How is the stylist supposed to check their work to make sure it even looks good or if I'm happy with it? I canceled my appointment and went somewhere else (based on a friends rec) because that is absolutely ridiculous.

Lea didn't understand what I was asking. She kept saying "lighter, darker?" I said redder. I showed her a picture of someone with red hair. I said I don't want orange just warmer. The actual picture was a bit orange but not much. I even pointed to the hair underneath my bottom layer. That's what I wanted. Bowen came over to help and I said I wanted a warmer color with a little more reddish auburn but not orange. I showed a picture. Then I said more like this...pointing underneath my washed out top layer. He said he couldn't do that because it wouldn't look good. I accept his opinion but I wasn't asking for much of a change. Most salons welcome people wanting a little/big change. He basically walked away instead of working with me to find a solution. I'm confused why they don't occasionally put color through the ends. I've been going there 2+ years and they've never done that. My hair is washed out. The 2 other salons I have been to always put color through the ends every few months. I told him I was disappointed that he couldn't work with me on the color a bit. I'm an easy client never expecting anything but the basics. He offered at that point to put a toner on but my hair was cut and almost dry and I didn't have time. He should have suggested that initially. I was treated poorly and will not go back.
