His office was the only office to discover my mother's Thyroid cancer by doing those tests you say are unnecessary. NO ONE else found my mother cancers and he caught it early my mother was treated with iodine pill and survived. As for me Dr Kaplowitz found things with me that a lot of other Dr didn't find and due to him finally finding what was wrong I got the proper treatmwnt. I have been misdiagnosed for so many years until I got to him. He discovered I have chrons when I was been treating for Fibromyalgia which I don't have. My heart conditim he found were I was being told it was anxiety. Those unnecessary tests those other patients wrote about let's see when cancer pops up and when other Doctors will find it. It will be too late. I put my life in the hands of Dr Kaplowitz anytime.

My mom's Opthamologist, Dr. Richard Levy, splits his time between here and 1305 York Avenue…read more I prefer this office based on distance from Brooklyn, but surgeries are performed at 1305 York. The entire team here are professional and deliver top notch performance. The front desk staff are spot on and just accommodating, the check out experience is accurate and fast paced. The office layout is spacious and immaculate. I can't say enough about Dr. Levy who has treated my mom's aneurysm for 10 years and there is complete trust in his capabilities. All in all a consistently great experience.

He actually said "oh, you'll feel better after surgery!" - I told him not to sign the surgery consent until they addressed his pain, they finally called in a few days of Tylenol 3s which made no sense to me as he was already taking extra strength Tylenol without relief. I get that there's an opioid problem, but when you're in tears and cannot walk from a massive hole in your leg, then you get surgery to have a wound vac installed, don't you think that warrants SOMETHING? Of course the Tylenol 3s didn't provide any relief, we went through several sleepless nights, at his follow up 3 days later, still complained of terrible pain but was told there was nothing they could do. The hole in his leg looks like a shark took a bite out of it and there's a machine attached constantly applying pressure! The hole measures 8cmx6cmx6cm - NOT SMALL!! Again, competent doctor but very impatient and dismissive, cuts you off, horrible bedside manner. He's at least 75 years old (doesn't look it from all the plastic surgery he's gotten), and I really think when you start to be so jaded you treat your patients like that, it's time to retire.

We've seen a few different doctors (sometimes we aren't able to see his PCP) and everyone is very knowledge, cordial and kind. At times during afternoon visits when they're busier the wait time can be a little long but that's fine. We are patient and things work out.

As a new patient, he took all the time to delve into my medical and personal history, with superb bedside manners that quickly puts one at ease. He's genuinely kind and conversational. He's also quick with posting test results up on NYU's MyChart portal. You won't get a phone call unless there's some abnormality, but he will leave comments on the portal re: the individual results. I like to shop around for doctors, but can actually see myself going back to him for future physicals. The clean and modern office is also well-organized, from my initial phone calls with the friendly receptionists to the techs who took my vitals and gave me shots. You get all your labwork done across the hall, which is shared by other NYU doctors. The phlebotomist only needed to poke me once to draw my blood, whereas in the past I've been poked and prodded multiple times to find one baby vein. Seriously, get your preventative needs met at NYU and Dr. Dolinsky!
