(I assumed was canceled since the dentist was only supposed to be open for emergencies) And NOW she sent me a letter that my family is NO LONGER WELCOME.... over $19.00. You read that right..... $19.00. When I showed our friends who also use this dentist , they were appalled. One of them even showed me a bill where he owes over $300.00 and has for almost 9 months. I asked if they could get my insurance GEHA to provide me what my out-of-pocket cost would be. After several months I did get an estimate. For a variety of reasons most significantly the cost I determined at that point the time was not right for the procedure. I went back for my normal 6 month checkup (actually due to the problems getting to see my hygentist it was more like 9 months) in March and I asked for them to send something back to GEHA for a new estimate (by this time they had included some additional work and updated rates). Not hearing anything I checked back in May and nothing the impression was that nothing was sent. I checked today with GEHA dental and they had not received anything. This time the representative for GEHA took the time to contact the dental office and according to the 3-way conversation Absolute Smile had been sending for the estimate at the "wrong" address apparently all along. So it is extremely important that IF I am having this procedure it should be this calendar year.
