LOOK NO FURTHER. IF YOU NEED ANY UPHOLSTERY WORK DONE, HIRE MARK!!!!…read more My wife Julia and I have hired Mark a whole bunch of times. Upholstery for our cars and for our home has never been an issue for us, unlike plumber and optician and construction crews, which have generally been hassle after hassle (there are notable exceptions). Until now in 2017, we are finally blessed to have all the best service people. In 2005, Julia needed a repair done on a broken passenger seat in her Honda Accord. It was one of those problems you just live with all the time, and never get around to fixing because it is so low priority. She found Mark somehow, when he was still next to the Post Office, and he fixed the problem for under $100. She was thrilled. Since then, Mark has installed custom black-out curtains for an Astrovan, reupholstered our living room sofa, and installed a new convertible top on a vintage car. Everything Mark has ever done for us has been top quality, the kind of work that makes you smile every time you see it, and makes you smile every time you sit on it or use it. If you are reading this post, look no further. Hire Mark. When we had to get a car dashboard reupholstered, a job Mark doesn't do, we found a place in Auburn. The quality of the upholstery work was average, and several problems had to be resolved, like the air bag warning light needed to be extinguished, and the remote did not activate the security system, and some other dashboard issues. The Auburn upholsterer fixed the problems and paid for them, but it was a lot of hassle until everything was working again. You will never have to return to Mark for a job he has completed. His work is always perfect the first time. We recommend Mark unconditionally for any furniture or auto upholstery, and we know you will be as pleased as we have been, each and every time.

Roman's had been recommended to me by a general classic car repair shop. It's pretty far from my…read morehouse in Solano County, but after reading the reviews here, I decided to take my 1963 T-Bird convertible there. His entire staff is very friendly and helpful and while I was there the first time, I talked to another customer who told me he was very happy with past work there and had brought another project that day. Roman's installed new seat covers and foam, new door panels and swapped out my old incorrect seat belts for ones that matched what would have been installed in back in the '60's with the addition of matching belt retractors and belt reveal moldings. The brackets that came with the belts had to be modified there (by welding) to get the exact fit that I wanted, but this was no issue for Roman's. At one point Lupe called me and asked me to come up for a visit to see that everything was going the way I wanted it. When I arrived, Roman said everything was going OK except for one BIG problem. It turns out that the new door panels that I had procured and that Roman had sent out to be painted to match the interior were the wrong door panels. To be sure they were ALMOST the correct panels, so close that all the trim had already been attached and only when the door was closed was the problem discovered. Roman let that information sink in for a minute before saying that he had a proposal to fix the problem that we could discuss. Long story short, he modified the door panels to fit the car, then added a perfectly matching strip of padded vinyl to cover the modification in such a way that only a VERY knowledgeable person would know that anything is out of the ordinary. In fact the modification is better than what came from the factory and tiny exposed seam--about 3 inches long--is only visible when the door is wide open. Again, even with the door open, it would take a very knowledgeable person to see what had not been that way from the factory. Very reasonable prices, too. I wish I had known about this place sooner, in time to do my other car that ended up with some issues.

Kudos to this business. I have a Makita electric compressor which I took in because it would not…read morestart. Prior to writing a service ticket, the gentleman who helped me, first took the compressor to an electrical outlet. He turned the knobs and the release switch at the bottom of the unit. Then he started it. Magic, it turned on right away. I had let someone else use my compressor and they had made adjustments to the knobs without my knowledge. Once everything was set correctly, the machine started. Apparently, the tank was already full (that's why it wouldn't come on). Once some of the air was released and there was room, the machine came on. I had to drive 1/2 an hour to get my equipment serviced so it was really nice that I didn't have to leave it and make a return trip to pick it up. They could have just written a ticket and had me leave it but they did a preliminary check first. I learned something new about my compressor and they saved me money and time by fixing my problem in a few minutes. I highly recommend this business for their integrity and customer service. I will definitely return.

I asked them if they had a copy of it and their system doesn't allow for a duplicate. the guy showed me the book they are written in and it showed both original white copy and the duplicate yellow copy used as an original too. he basically said I was out of luck. didn't they have to ring that 100.00 cash into the register as a gift certicate? wouldn't the bookkeeper find the 100.00 difference in the books if it wasn't rung up. Anyway I guess we donated the 100.00 to their Christmas. Leslie Wilcox

He did a great job on my 37 year old Berber carpet and even got rid of a stain from a mahogany chest that had left a dark spot under its legs. The areas of the most traffic on the carpet were really flat and smooshed down, but when they were finished these areas looked nice and fluffy and the carpet looks almost new again, not flat and worn down. Keith and his assistant Steve were careful and quick, and they were a couple of very friendly and nice guys.
