We used A-1 a few times, we have always had great service, very respectful of walls and furniture. This last time, I had some major pet stains and I was a little sticker shocked by the additional cost, but I went ahead and did the additional cleaning. Great quality work, plus communication and trustworthiness that really impressed me! I was moving out of a rented house that I'd been in for 5 years in Grass Valley, and realized at the last minute that the pet addendum of my rental agreement required me to get a UV inspection of the carpet, and to have it professionally cleaned. I called A-1 Carpet Masters, certain that they wouldn't be able to get it done in the week I had left before I was due to move out. Tye called me right back, was incredibly helpful and positive, and was able to fit the inspection and cleaning in within the week. The quality of his work is top-notch - the carpets ended up looking cleaner than I ever dared to hope. But that kind of work would usually only earn 4 stars from me - it was the way that Tye communicated, followed up with me, and was optimistic about what he could achieve without over-promising that really impressed me, and definitely deserves the full 5 stars. Wow! I have not done carpet cleaning before, and I didn't know this level of clean was possible. Thanks Liam and A-1 for getting out almost every stain and spot in my old, grungy carpets including pet stains and odors. The only stain that wasn't 100% removed was red acrylic paint which I didn't think could be removed at all and they got 90% out. Amazing! I also appreciated they took the time to explain the less chemical options to me as I'm pregnant and wanted the greener option. He sent Liam to clean our carpets about a week later. Our carpets are probably over 20 years old ... long overdue for new carpets. They are light beige carpets so the traffic areas over time were soiled to say the least. We have only been in our house 5 years and thought this was the year for new carpets but why not try to clean one more time. Liam worked magic to say the least. I never hire a carpet cleaner before, I hired A-1 after talking to Tye, he seemed smart, friendly and trustworthy, it was a bit of a challenge to schedule as he was booked out a couple weeks. Tye was great, he got all the tough stains out and even came back a few days later to give a mystery stain a second shot. I was very happy with how everything turned out. These guys do an exceptional job. We had them do "move out" cleaning when we vacated our rental apt, and "move in" cleaning when we moved into our new house a month later. Both guys (Tye did the house) were very courteous and did an awesome job - you can see the care they take when doing their work, they do not cut corners. The carpet in the house is light colored and at least a decade old so I wasn't too optimistic, but it looked so good after the cleaning that I'm no longer considering replacing the carpet. This is by far the best carpet cleaning company in town. I've been using them for several years. Tye is very professional and always shows up on time with a friendly attitude. We've only used Chem Dry in Grass Valley over the past several years. After a not so good experience with Chem Dry, we decided to go looking elsewhere. We found 2 companies on yelp that seemed worthy. We decided on A1. They got us in within a weeks time. They called and told me exactly what time he was coming. The 2 gentleman were great and did a thorough job. They took nearly 2 hours and their pricing was comparable if not better than other companies. They even fixed an issue with tearing in our carpet. Really nice guys that talk to you and let you know exactly whats going on...I like that. Absolutely AWESOME company with state of the art equipment and extremely helpful crew. The last time we had carpets cleaned (before A-1 at a different home) the guy used a version of a steam cleaner, and it seemed like a total rip off. HOWEVER A-1 uses a WHOLE DIFFERENT SYSTEM for cleaning that is miraculous as far as making your carpets look BRAND new again and smell good. Even upon leaving our house the carpets didn't seem very wet, it was practically like dry cleaning for carpets, I don't know what kind of equipment they have but it rules. They squeezed us in last minute and DID NOT disappoint. AN amazing deal as they made our cream colored faux Berber carpets look BRAND NEW AGAIN (ready for a move out walk thru) and the charge was only the slim 90$ minimum. Absolutely terrific family run business! Our new rental has awful carpets with pee stains from old chihuahuas and we are going to have them come and do the carpets just so we can feel like we own the place!
