The venue is also split into 2 sections, one with most of the seating, and the other with the bar and the stage - so if you want to see the band, you pretty much have to stand or arrive really early. They also charge a couple of quid entry, which other places in Wakefield that have live music don't - and drinks are really expensive too, making it a costly night out.

Three of us ordered the sirloin steak, all of us asked for medium-rare, all of them arrived fully brown all the way through. I guess the sauce was OK and the herby chips were nice. All in all, I'd recommend it for a drink but not for a meal, pity because as I said, its a gorgeous little place.

Service can be slow at times but actually this is a good place to relax so taking some time can be good. The steaks are excellent and always perfectly cooked. The wine list is varied and interesting and the cocktails are lovingly prepared by very well trained bar staff. Overall this is a great restaurant serving excellent food at a good price.
