His crew worked hard, kept the work area clean, and made two rounds of clean-up just to make absolutely sure. The project was right on budget, and even slightly ahead of schedule. We used Family Waterproofing about 10 years ago to repair a few leaking cracks in our 69 year old…read moreresidential foundation, and haven't had any leaks at all since. Very satisfied with their work. This year (2026) they came back out and repaired another structural foundation crack, and all went great. They also repaired our 15' X 25' patio by listing a 5' X 25' section along our house, which had settled a few inches. Ken did a fantastic job of raising the low section so everything is leveled again. He really knows his business! A previous attempt years ago by another company using mud-jacking had failed. We are extremely happy with all the work they have done for us over the years, and would highly recommend! And the price was much cheaper than tearing the concrete out and replacing it.

The reason for my unhappiness was that they never completed the work and threatened to put a lien on my house if I didnt settle the bill in full before the work was completed (I had politely asked if they could complete the work first before I settle up and Hope Larkin threatened via email that they would put a lien on my house regardless of work completion). Not nice or ethical. I had also felt that the bill was clearly bloated with things like a 20% surcharge! Like I said, I have a right to my opinion -- or so I thought. Ok so guess what came next! I got an email and certified letter from Joe Ruzevich (their principal) threatening me with legal action if I didnt remove my google review within 5 days. I have attached the letter so Joe cannot accuse me of making false statements as he did in the letter -- Parkside and Joe should actually make some effort to engage with customers and not just base your business model on aggressive legal threats. Learn from my painful experience and avoid using Parkside.

We were referred to this company and we're so happy we were. I spoke with Dawn and she quickly scheduled an inspection. After our inspection I was sent a reasonable quote and the team was at my home the next day remediating the mold in our attic. I appreciate the quick turn around and how nice the gentlemen were who came out. Midwest Mold Prevention was our third quote and by far the most straight-forward company. Thank you so much for quickly fixing our mold issue!

Buying a home can be stressful. You get an inspector, good insurance, home warranties, and do as…read moremany tests as possible before pulling the trigger. However, there are some things you just can't tell until after you close. Sometimes, that thing is finding mold in areas that are not easily detectable until you start remodeling. Of course, when it comes to air quality, you want to make sure your family is safe and protected. You don't want to spare any expense. When I say Nicholas and his team is the best, I am not exaggerating. They offered recommendations and when I continued to remodeling process, they honored their original work and helped me fix other parts that none of us had originally seen. What's more is they don't sacrifice quality. They spent the time to do the job right and Nicholas made sure it was 100% taken care of - going above and beyond what he needed to do. You can get caught up in paying more than you need to with "brand name" companies. But you really don't have to -- you get white glove service, with a "small business" attention-to-detail, for a fair price --without sacrificing quality. I would recommend Midwest Mold-Prevention to anyone in a heart beat. Thank you, Nicholas!
