Are only negative reviews kept on Yelp? How does that help ANYBODY?! Please do the right thing and show ALL reviews. I don't know if this was removed since it still appears in my "About Me" section but does not show as being posted on the review page, which it was on 12/6/12. Mary Ruff-King PRIOR POST ON 12/6/12: I recently started treating with Dr. Siles for a decades-long temporomandibular joint (TMJ) problem, a medical-dental condition that few doctors or dentists know how to treat effectively. It has been my experience that finding a qualified specialist to treat this condition has been the most challenging of all...until now. Dr. Siles is a rare individual who has spent his life studying not only dentistry but also how the brain and muscles work in conjunction with dentition. He is a master in the field of neuromuscular dentistry to which I can attest firsthand. I have a 40-year history of TMJ. I have tried with all my might to take as good care of my teeth as possible in order to prevent the need for drastic dental work such as root canals and/or crown work. This included wearing a number of custom-made dental appliances, spending close to $20,000 out of my own pocket for the appliances recommended and made by my dentists. However, I knew it was only a matter of time when my bite would change drastically due to the need for major dental work; that happened this year. I put off getting a root canal and crown on a right upper molar for as long as I could. When the pain became intolerable, I was off to the dentist, in a state of dread, due to the pain I knew I would feel not only from the procedure but also in the right TMJ. After undergoing the procedure, I missed a week of work due to the terrible pain in my TMJ. Then started my Internet search for a TMJ specialist; I thank God for the Internet which allowed me to find Dr. Siles so easily. Upon initial consultation, Dr. Siles examined me and painstakingly took several bite measurements. He spelled out treatment options and recommended a treatment plan which excited me (because I had not heard of anything like it before) and to which I readily concurred. On December 4, 2012, Dr. Siles used a mold of my teeth to pour/place a fixed resin appliance over my lower teeth that will remain in place for 2-3 months. The purpose of this appliance is to elevate the teeth 1-2 millimeters and open the space in the temporomandibular joints. (I'm sure most people cannot appreciate the difference a millimeter or two can make in a person's bite, but I can now.) Now my back teeth all touch each other as they should. Within 10-15 minutes of placement of the fixed resin appliance, there were dramatic results: I felt almost total relief of the TMJ soreness, inflammation, and tightness. Later that night, I noticed that I could hear better. I thought, "This is too weird!" I could turn the TV way down and the muddy sound was gone. The following morning I got up and noticed how much pain I DID NOT have in my TMJs, face, neck, and upper back! I felt 10-20 years younger. Now that really got my attention. I had not done anything different, nor had I taken any medication other than what I usually take. The only difference that could account for the change was the change in my bite. I know there are thousands of people in a similar situation as mine, suffering day in, day out, from a dysfunctional bite and the insidious effects of TMJ. I know that my TMJ symptoms are not nearly as bad as others have experienced, and it is my hope that this testimonial regarding Dr. Siles will give others who have lost hope of ever getting help for this problem the needed motivational boost to seek out treatment with Dr. Siles. When I read some of the reviews about Dr Siles, I could not believe we were talking about the same practice. If I give you my story, you can make up your own mind as to the expertise he has. Please bear with me to the end. I was 50, with worn down teeth everywhere and a gap and chip at the front which were making my life miserable each time I smiled. I had recurring headaches, and having not long had a gastric band fitted, it was vital that I chewed and chewed my food..not easy if your rear bite is terrible. At the very least, I wanted the worn front teeth and gap sorted so I went to see Dr Siles. I had a full consultation and he very professionally told me what I needed and why. I felt no pressure - I could just as easily refused as I could agree - but I told him I needed to think about a full mouth reconstruction. I will emphasise at this point, that I knew I needed more than nice cosmetic front teeth because we were going into the realms of medical not aesthetics, but like everyone else, cost was an issue. He was upfront but because it was a substantial amount, I went away for a think. I returned and Dr Siles gave me a replica of what my teeth were going to look like. That was the only time I was a skeptical. No way could my small gaped and chipped teeth look longer for a start. I was really beginning to doubt. I was fitted with individual temporaries until mine were made. They were NOT dentures and all my subsequent fitted teeth were crowns and bridges. Everybody told me the temps were stunning and many refused to believe they were coming out and my " real " teeth were going to be better!! A few even asked to have them when they were taken out.... I am not sure they were even joking! Dr Siles fitted my actual crown, bridges - the full mouth reconstruction in one day when I went back after having the temporaries removed.I went there at 8am and. I was totally looked after... Dr Siles wife bought me soup and I was told anytime I wanted a break to say so. It went wonderfully. At 3pm I looked at my teeth in the mirror. They were immaculate. This 50 year old had never felt so beautiful in all her life. I was given painkillers but I did not need them. The very next day I returned. I had minimal swelling and was in no pain whatsoever.. What in fact he had done, was not just crowns etc to my teeth, but he actually repositioned my lower jaw to open and optimize my bite. Does that sound like someone with dodgy credentials like someone alleged??? It has done wonders with my previous headache problems...Now here's the thing. I went back home. To London England. Where I come from. Yes, I traveled 6,000 miles several times to get the teeth I dreamed of. This is why I feel so strongly about negative comments here. There are plenty of dentists here in prestigious Harley Street etc but I did my homework and there is nobody I have come across that can hold a candle to his expertise, manner, experience. He promised me a Hollywood smile and I have it. I get asked everyday where did I get my teeth whitened. Even other dentists here have said what an excellent job had been done. Every day, someone will remark on my teeth as I work at a London Airport. People are shocked when i tell them they are not strictly my own. Twice, I have had a tooth chip. ...Totally my fault. I went to a dentists here one who wanted a thousand pounds about fifteen hundred dollars, for one replacement but couldn't guarantee to match the whiteness. Dr Siles told me to get a impression made which I did, and forward it to him. Within a week, I had the crown and he would not accept a penny. Twice this has happened. Does that sound like a mean money grabbing person with no talent or thought for his patients???. There are a very small handful of Staff and all without exception, have worked there for years. They are extremely polite and helpful bar none. As for the Hygienists, some I spoke to said they preferred freelancing as it was more variety. Hardly his fault. Lastly, you will be glad to see, I want to make clear that I am under no endorsement or any other gain whatsoever. I am simply giving my story of my experience of a tourist who went into a Dentist and ended up having made one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. Sorry to have gone on. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Siles for 20 years and I couldn't help but read these reviews. I never once had a bad experience. I've never had vaneers done but I've had my teeth cleaned a ton of times and have had other basic dental work done. The hygienest to me is as relevant as the nurse responsible for checking my vitals when I go for a regular check up. I mean they all use the same instruments and I sit in the same chair getting the same teeth clean. I mean it's a 30 min (max) appointment. What I care about is when I need a filling done or getting help with my jaw hurting because I grind my teeth. Dr. Siles has been flawless with getting all these types of issues fixed. It's hilarious to see how scam artists try to use this as a forum to make up lies hiding behind initials. " Seriously, my confidence is very low, just a very, very bad experience" was what one particular reviewer said. I read this person (KC's) other posts for other business and they all sound the same. They're all 1 stars!! I mean c'mon how miserable is your life that you feel this is the only place where you can make yourself feel special. Anyway, I'm a lifelong patient of Dr. Siles and appreciate the work he's done for me. I understand that vaneers is a form of cosmetic surgery and just like all other types of cosmetic surgeries (think celebrities) not everyone's body reacts the same. I mean how many famous people have you seen where there were vaneers done but they weren't perfect or had to be fixed. It's not an exact science and nothing in the cosmetic world is. Listening to people talk about themselves as if they're "victims" is laughable as they should already know the risks associated with any type of plastic surgery. Dr. Siles has been my dentist for almost 40yrs and during that time I have only known him and his family and staff to be the kindest, most caring people I have ever known. Dr. Siles has worked with me when I have been out of work and in pain, on holidays when I was in pain, and on weekend not only when I was in pain but he and his wife went out of their way recently on a Sunday when I called him for my grown daughter who do to her insurance is NOT a patient of Dr. Siles but he STILL met her at the office and was able to give her some relief after not sleeping for two days. By the way HER dentist would not even return a phone call regarding her pain from the root canal he had done earlier in the week! She had an abcess and if anyone has ever had one they know how that feels! Dr. Siles and his wife, Ruth took care of her and she was out of pain and able to handle it until she had to see a specialist. Tell me what other Dentist would do that? for someone not their patient? Dr. Siles has always been up front with me about what my cost would be and always worked with me and I have had crowns and fillings that have lasted more than twenty years. I get compliments on my smile all the time and my teeth are not "too big or too white". He took the time to match the colors of the crowns so I would look natural and the patient picks the color of whiteness not him! So don't believe the bad reviews, my guess is that it is a competing practice, if someone doesn't have the guts to leave their name I never believe it.
