I am not only a petrified patient, but I am not a truly trusting individual. Dr. Mehta has earned my trust. He has done procedures for me that presented themselves unexpectantly, free of charge. He is not one that has ever nickle and dimed me. He also stands by his work. When he did a check-up a few years back ,he told me that a crown he did much earlier was bothering him because he felt that with his new xray technology, he felt he could have spaced it better. He advised me that he would like to redo it at his expense so it would fit better with the help of his new xray technology. That day really cemented my trust in him. When I had a difficult implant to do ,he would not do it and refered me to a great surgeon. He told me that Dr. Kim had more experience than him on implants so close to a major nerve and he would feel better letting him do it.That also showed me that he cared more about my well being than just getting a fee for the work. He also took charge of a situation involving my 4 yr. old having a sreaming fit with her first filling. Instead of sending her off to get put under ,he made the extra effort to help her (successfully I might add). Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Mehta. I decided to Dr. Terra because my dentist was going to be out of network. It was easy to make an…read moreappointment with Dr. Terra's practice and their intake process was fairly smooth. After X-rays and a cleaning, they informed me that I needed a root canal and was referred to an excellent endodontist! After I got a root canal, I was asked to return to Dr. Terra, and although I thought it was for a follow up to discuss next steps, they were going to give me a crown to which caught me by surprise because this was never discussed with me! I was very unhappy about their lack of communication and lack of patient co-decision making, so I declined the services and demanded to speak with Dr. Terra. Dr. Terra was very calm and kind and explained the reason I needed a crown. I expressed my dissatisfaction with his office's assumption about me getting a crown without first consulting him. My instinct was to not trust them anymore, so I left the office without getting future work done. I returned to my other dentist and inquired about the crown that Dr. Terra said I needed and after their thorough examination, they determined that I didn't need one. It's very important for dental practices to be honest and practice thorough communication and co-decision making with their patients, which wasn't my experience with Dr. Terra's office.

I had so much anxiety and shame prior to my first visit with Dr. Terra. He did not judge me or make me feel bad about neglecting my dental needs; it was quite the opposite. His demeanor and patience made me calm and he explained what my needs were based on priorities and we came up with a "game plan" to address my needs. We took it one step at a time and I had my fourth visit with him today, which included the extraction of two teeth (pain free)! My next step is getting braces with an orthodontist Dr. Terra recommends. Dr. Terra is so gentle in his approach and he takes the time to explain the procedure and what to expect. He takes great care and really puts the patient first! There are no surprises or hidden fees in the billing as the invoices itemize the cost of the treatment or procedure and shows how much your insurance covers, and how much your out-of-pocket expenses will be. It is evident that Dr. Terra and his team take great pride in their work and I am so grateful that I found my dentist! Since I…read morewanted to start off on a good note with my oral health I decided to call this dentist several times and this office never picked up my phone call nor had a recording of any sort to at least state they were out of the office. So sad that these days one can't find a dentist that has a professional staff/office to take care of of the office in general. Because of I couldn't get anyone to answer the phone I've decided I'm not going to join this dentist's practice as my plan was to do so. I can't even believe this but I guess it's better to find this out early instead of finding out once I've joined the practice. We found this place and it definitely worked for us. The dentist is a sweet older woman, very heavily accented, but she definitely knows what she's doing. In between her and her assistant, you'll get great service at great rates (we were able to pay for all our fillings out of pocket). Nothing fancy about the location, its a small office sporting little more than the necessary machinery. I imagine a lot of people pass this place up because there's no fountain in the reception room or any ivory statues of Herculean men with heroic jaws to inspire confidence in the institution, but if you know what you want you can get it here. It'll be done well and it'll be done much cheaper than most places, and she wont try to scare you into buying services you don't need (something i've seen a lot of dentists do). Definitely worth your business.

I don't have dental insurance, and was looking for a general dentist who does a good job who does not charge an arm and leg... and I found one! For $50 you get quality teeth cleaning... not like the ones I've been to in the past who just brushes your teeth with fancy dentist equipment and charges you $100+!!! Although she has heavy accent and quite difficult to understand, it didn't really matter because as a dentist, all she needed to do was help you, and help maintain your teeth... She's not into marketing services either, if you don't need it, she will tell you... This is not a fancy dental clinic, so don't get your expectations up... There are no LCD TV's or fancy waterfalls in the waiting area... Perhaps, this is how she keeps her fee low... She is also understaff compared to other clinics... There is just her and an assistant... My 5 stars was for the great service she gives... its nice to know that there are still dentists who does a good job, and does not scream $$$ all the time... I'll be back next week for a fill...
