I have been going to Hallmark (everywhere I have lived) for many years because it's the only place where I can find specific cards for any occasion. I am a card person and I have almost always found a card for any occasion for people in my life. For example, my mom found a sweet card that said "Happy 1st birthday to my grandson". I have found cards for "my niece and her family", "my brother and his fiancée", "special wishes for a happy birthday and a merry Christmas" (for a relative born during the holidays), "nephew's 1st Valentine's Day", "baby's 1st Christmas", etc. There are a ton of options for rare occasions (baby dedications/baptisms/christenings, relocation, retirement, etc.); celebrating special moments (engagements, adoptions, weddings, baby showers, new home); recognizing and/or celebrating people with a unique role in your life (babysitter, dog walker/sitter, your doctor,) etc. There are entire sections dedicated to: "just because" cards; "someone special"; or "a special friend" (with a variety of messages about your love for them, or that you're thinking of them, or you miss them, or about them being dear to you despite being far away); birthday cards for specific ages (not limited to milestones); funny cards for kids and adults; cards from "all of us"; get well soon cards; sorry for your loss cards, support when grieving the loss of a pet; etc. During any (and I mean, any) holiday, they feature a special selection - right now they've got St. Patrick's Day, Valentine's Day, Philadelphia Eagles win memorabilia, etc They also carry keepsakes, trinkets, plush toys, blankets, some clothing, bags, and a large selection of gifts for special occasions (graduation...) and specific people in your life (mom/dad/daughter/son/spouse/partner...) I ordered the funny novelty costume from Rasta Imposta through Amazon. As soon as I saw the front panel I put it back in the box and contacted Amazon to do a return. The front panel was attached exactly upside down. It was a shame as it was too close to our Halloween party to order a replacement. Even if I had time, I would've been nervous about a replacement. Who knows how many costumes were in the upside-down batch. Luckily, I ordered through Amazon so there was no hassle with the return/refund.

I sent both costumes back following the company's return guidelines, only to receive a refund for one costume. I then reached out to the company to inquire as to why the partial refund. I received the following response from Jodi Berman: "Partial refund was issued because we determined the costumes were dirty, used and worn. Thus, ad written in out T&Cs, they cannot be resold and full refund denied." Firstly, this is false. The costumes were not worn, dirty, or used, as claimed. Secondly, their own return policy states no partial refunds, so the fact that I was refunded for one costume seems more like an oversight, and this nonsense explanation of "used, worn, dirty" an attempt to cover up their mistake. I will be filing a chargeback for the remaining refund that I am rightly due, but upon looking further into several other complaints against this company, it would appear they have very deceptive business practices. I would strongly recommend avoiding them.
