I'm super disappointed with Hobby Lobby today. I purchased a sewing machine, it's not working out well for me I tried to return it and now all the sudden there's no returns there's no exchanges there's nothing for open box sewing machines....and yes, it is on the back of the receipt but I did not see it there, or at the register I did not see it on the wall and when I specifically asked the register woman what the return policy was she said "90 days with receipt that's all you need. you'll be fine". I'm disappointed, so buyer beware!

Hobby Lobby's merchandise can be found all over my apartment. From globes to more globes to atlases to pictures talking about wanderlust, this store knows my "decorating" style. HL has been my favorite affordable craft and decor store since my freshman year of college in 2008. Back then, I had never heard of the chain, but since I was in the South, they were abundant and a top-pick among my classmates. Nowadays, there's a few options locally in South Jersey, which makes me SO SO happy! The Deptford store is clean and well-run. They close early-ish (8 pm) and they're always closed on Sundays, which I think is nice. They clearly care about their employees' work-life balance, which is so rare in big companies. So many kudos to you, Hobby Lobby! Hope you stick around in Jersey!

This area of NJ is particularly thin when it comes to quality craft stores. Hobby Lobby (HL) is probably the new, best spot if you're looking for one stop shopping for a variety of products ... but because it's the jack of all trades, it's the master of none. HL is HUGE. It's the size of a small Walmart, and it has one (or ten!) of everything. Today I purchased poster board, a wooden handle, yarn, buttons, thread, and fabric. It's awesome to be able to walk into a store with a long, varied list and to find every item on it. Selection is the real issue here. Their yarn section isn't nearly as large as other HL locations. Their fabric selection was quality over quantity for sure, but the pickings still felt slim. There were probably 200 choices for buttons, but they were all made by the same company, so the choices were sort of "more of the same". I know HL is big on its conservative brand of morality, so perhaps they only buy from certain suppliers? Maybe that's why almost all of the available crochet hooks were made by the same company, etc? I continuously ran into the same issue -- it's not that there weren't choices, it's that all of their choices are from just one or two companies, so it's all more of the same. Will I go back? Yes. The HL brand of yarn is THE BEST for crochet blankets (seriously). I will probably continue to peruse their fabric choices, but I won't go there expecting to score every time. I'll certainly buy buttons and sewing specialty items elsewhere. If you don't like the one brand they carry, you're SOL. Joann Fabrics is still best for fabric and sewing stuff. Major bonus points: customer service was fabulous. The store is clean and the lighting was so good that I could discern between navy blue and black (sounds silly until you're 30min into staring at yarn haha). The aisles are wide and comfortable. And, really, they carry one or ten of everything.

Can't believe I haven't reviewed this specific store yet. This Norman's Hallmark is huge. The…read moreladies here are very pleasant and helpful. If asked, they will gladly lead you to the section containing the cards/products you need. I have been going to Hallmark (everywhere I have lived) for many years because it's the only place where I can find specific cards for any occasion. I am a card person and I have almost always found a card for any occasion for people in my life. For example, my mom found a sweet card that said "Happy 1st birthday to my grandson". I have found cards for "my niece and her family", "my brother and his fiancée", "special wishes for a happy birthday and a merry Christmas" (for a relative born during the holidays), "nephew's 1st Valentine's Day", "baby's 1st Christmas", etc. There are a ton of options for rare occasions (baby dedications/baptisms/christenings, relocation, retirement, etc.); celebrating special moments (engagements, adoptions, weddings, baby showers, new home); recognizing and/or celebrating people with a unique role in your life (babysitter, dog walker/sitter, your doctor,) etc. There are entire sections dedicated to: "just because" cards; "someone special"; or "a special friend" (with a variety of messages about your love for them, or that you're thinking of them, or you miss them, or about them being dear to you despite being far away); birthday cards for specific ages (not limited to milestones); funny cards for kids and adults; cards from "all of us"; get well soon cards; sorry for your loss cards, support when grieving the loss of a pet; etc. During any (and I mean, any) holiday, they feature a special selection - right now they've got St. Patrick's Day, Valentine's Day, Philadelphia Eagles win memorabilia, etc They also carry keepsakes, trinkets, plush toys, blankets, some clothing, bags, and a large selection of gifts for special occasions (graduation...) and specific people in your life (mom/dad/daughter/son/spouse/partner...) I know there are some cards available at general stores, grocery stores, and the dollar store. But when you are a card person like me, and you want to convey a specific message to someone you care about, nothing beats the Hallmark store. Plus they have that pretty gold crown to seal your card with. PS. I know their cards can be pricey. So you should know that Hallmark will regularly email you coupons if you sign up for free on their website, app or at a Hallmark store. You can pull up the coupons on your phone at the checkout counter.

If you are looking for a frustrating time this is the store for you...We placed an order with this…read morestore at the beginning of the year. Didnt realize at the time but the salesman didnt put in the complete order. They asked us to call them on jan 12 if we didnt hear from them. We called them for the delivery date. They said waiting on a piece should be in on the 20th of jan. Started getting rid of furniture to make room. The called us to let us know the furniture isnt all in. Waiting with no furniture, then they tell us it is in and cant deliver on saturday because of snow, so they pushed us to monday. We didnt get snow until sunday morning and then they cancelled us for snow on monday. We call them for reschedule and they procede to tell us not all the pieces are in again. They pushed us to Thursday the 29th with two missing pieces. I then had to go to the store to find out about one piece not included by salesman(500$more dollars) and the other piece is not in stock and wasnt reordered. I might get it 2 weeks from now. If you like this type of service and poor treatment this is the store for you. I will never recommend this store and talk people out of shopping there. Fran from customer service was the best part of the story. Thank you fran from a frustrated customer.
