That tells the experienced sewist something valuable: they sell only high quality fabrics and won't sell you botched cut fabric. Ripping fabric or pulling threads is how you keep fabric on grain. This isn't hobby lobby so prepare to step into a world beyond hobby sewing and take in the expertise available to you! I only wish they had a location in Baldwin county so I didn't have to drive so far from Fairhope!

She helped me to find the items I was in search of and also recommended items. Five Gold Monkeys has furnishings, home accessories, jewelry and other home goods. I love the variety of items available and I wish I had more time to look around. Another thing that stood out was the store associates received a call 1 minute until closing from a customer who wanted to come in and purchase jewelry. They agreed to remain open to assist the customer. Now that's great customer service.

They sell Miles Talbot slipcovered sofas and have one as soon as you enter the store. They sell inexpensive fabrics (if I recall correctly around 6-10/yard for nothing fancy fabric), as well as, Robert Allen, Kravit, and other designer fabrics etc. Please understand this is not like a Joann's, Walmart, or Hobby Lobby fabric store; just an fyi. Cotton Capers has more of a designer selection. The ladies that work here are so kind and helpful. I find it best to arrive shortly after they open as they do get busy later in the day. Lastly, they have a backlog of work and it will take a couple of months to get custom made drapery etc completed.

The sales clerk said that there is now only a 30% coupon but it is available only for online purchases. She said that if I ordered my item online it would take an hour for it to come through her computer system so that I could purchase it. Michaels, your marketing team has got it wrong- you may be thinking you are encouraging sales with the 30% online coupon but in reality you are irritating instore customers that can't use the code due to the system that you have in place.
