PB&J kids is a local treasure and world renowned for faithfully supplying quality sewing notions,…read morefabrics, laces, patterns and classes to preserve the lost art of heirloom sewing. Previous reviewer cluelessly wrote they don't have a cutting table and instead rip fabric. That tells the experienced sewist something valuable: they sell only high quality fabrics and won't sell you botched cut fabric. Ripping fabric or pulling threads is how you keep fabric on grain. This isn't hobby lobby so prepare to step into a world beyond hobby sewing and take in the expertise available to you! I only wish they had a location in Baldwin county so I didn't have to drive so far from Fairhope!

This is a lovely shop if you are interested in sewing heirloom children's clothing. They have…read morefabrics and patterns for exactly that kind of project. It's quite a specialized store and not at all a quilt shop, it's mislabeled in Yelp. I have never done that kind of sewing myself and was disappointed that the targeted customer was not clearly explained. We drove out of our way to come here. I had even called ahead of time and the message doesn't state the mission of the shop either. If I did that kind of sewing, however, I would not let my kids anywhere near PB & J while they were wearing it

On my most recent visit, I bought gorgeous parsons chairs for each end of my dining table. I've been wanting some for a couple of years (since the Jazz snacked on one of my chairs) and these were on sale for half the price! Seriously, I paid $60 each for these chairs and similar chairs I've found elsewhere sell for about $120. They are regularly only $80. This is also my go-to store for things like throw pillows, drapes, and little miscellaneous home decor items. It's also a great place to buy gifts, like the lovely coffee mug I bought my hubby that says "I don't need Google, my wife knows everything." This store has fantastic deals on the trendiest gift and home decor items!

The marketplace had a nice selection of Plymouth, Sugar and Cream, and Encore yarns. I found a great selection of DK weight baby yarns. My friend found some nice sock yarn. I live in the San Antonio, TX area, but was trying to buy a new mattress for my son in Spanish Fort. The online experience was clunky and didn't answer questions I had so I made the call, and Katie (the store manager) put me in touch with Matthew. He answered every question, offered great advice, and pricing was excellent. He seemed to really want to help and was communicative throughout the process. We accomplished everything I wanted to and in under half an hour. It was painless and simple - or at least it was with Matthew on the job. Thank you, Matthew, and Ashley Furniture in Spanish Fort. I appreciate everything and will certainly keep you in mind should I buy any other furniture for my son. :)

The store is huge, and each section is clearly marked and separated from one another. They were…read morehaving a huge sale, so there were a ton of people in there shopping. Clothes were falling off of the racks. Clothes were piled up in different places on the floor. Jeans and shorts were just scattered on tables, not folded or in any particular order. They seemed to be severely short staffed, which probably contributed to these issues, because on the sales floor, I only saw two workers. There was only one cashier and the line was very long. My husband stood in line for over 15 minutes. The poor cashier was doing her absolute best to move customers along quickly, but there were piles of clothes and boxes on the ground behind her and she nearly tripped over them several times. I would think she would be stressed out, but she seemed calm and friendly regardless. If every day is like it was today, I would probably just shop online than deal with that disaster. It was Black-Friday level mess.

Old Navy = good deals in a messy setting…read more I find most Old Navy stores to be the same and this was no exception. We were leaving on a cruise and needed flip flops. On a Saturday in July, the store was messy and people were everywhere. There was a long line but it moved quickly. I find the clothes and shoes to not last as long as I want though. If you have time to dig through the racks and to stand in line, this is a good store to find bargains. This isn't my first choice though for clothes shopping but is good in a pinch.
