I returned to the store on the following Monday and requested that they "make it right" The owner refused to fix it. As far as he was concerned the item was ruined and he did not know how to fix it and since I walked out of the store I accepted it. I had the item re-plated and engraved somewhere else for $60.00.

They were advised of the transfer fee twice in advance of the closing. Other title companies have routinely included this fee in their closings for over 20 years. This unpaid required fee currently represents a cloud on the title to the property and is most likely headed to litigation. I'm considering reporting this firm to the licensing authorities. My personal opinion is that you should beware of using Alabama Land Title Company, Inc.
