Run, run for your life: We spent about 5 months emailing documents back and forth with this lender. Almost every week they would ask for more documents, usually things that we had already sent them before. Every month they wanted new copies of the bank statements and pay stubs. On the bank statements, we needed to write a letter to the lender explaining where the money went even though it was clearly written on the bank statement Transfer to xxx account. So we basically cut and pasted what was on the bank statement into a letter, signed it , scanned it in and emailed it back to them. I can not tell you how many hours were spent doing this but it was in the hundreds. Also, we own 4 companies, 3 of which we are winding down. They absolutely demanded that we file paperwork with the state of California to dissolve the corporations even though they were not ready to be dissolved because we were due workers compensation refunds. After we spent five thousand dollars doing this, they came back and said no, they wouldn't accept this for six months because we might reopen the companies. I then sent them a link to an article showing that you can't actually do this legally, reopen a corporation once it had been dissolved, they said no, this is our policy so you will have to wait six months. So they were saying we were going to do something illegal with no explanation as to why. After five months of doing this we just got tired of it and gave up and are going to another lender. These are not rational business people. Good thing they are not a public company or I would be short selling their stock. I noticed that they have a google adwords ad as top rated lender, do not fall for that. They have 2.5 stars on yelp, this is very generous. read more

I wish to give 10 negative stars if I could. This lender sucks. Even with excellent credit, stable job and well qualified income, JMAC can still screw your loan at the end. Better stay away from them. It's all my own recent experience with them. They not only wasted my time but over $1000 appraisal fee. Not only that, I canceled the appraiser second visit to take more pictures and JMAC still charge me another $100. As one of the review below, I was so surprised when I get the notice from my insurance said that they put their name on my policy as the beneficiary without closing the loan. Plus their endless conditions come every other day that give you no hope of when will it be end. I submitted 2 refi loans and they don't even let me close one of loan first. My broker finally pull the loans out and try other lender. It's a nightmare which everyone should avoid. They're the WORST lender in this world! Beware they screw me by giving me wrong instruction to close the account that where my reserved is and transfer it to a brand new account then near the end they slap their own face of denying my reserved in the new account because it does not have 3 months of history. They demand me to reverse the process but it is IMPOSSIBLE. Do they really know their own guideline??? f#$%^^^@k the JMAC. read more

This review is long overdue. Having been in the industry for over 14 years, I've seen lenders come and go, with varying degrees of competence and proficiency. Been working with JMAC Lending for about a year now- I must say, aside from our AE Susan Han always being available and responsive, the concise and direct-to-the-point work manner of Non-QM Underwriters like Daron Chelette, along with extraordinarily proficient account mangers like Calvin Dinh makes working with JMAC a pretty impressive experience overall. Multi-layered requests are addressed attentively in one of two e-mails, complicated structural changes are systematically acknowledged without miscommunication which often stem from inexperience and lack of knowledge on the part of personnel manning the posts in different departments. I worked with Hannah Bui and Michael Martin. Both were great. The file was a NO Ratio, No Seasoning, Cash out DSCR. The file started with a Corporation as the vested entity on title. It was to remain unchanged throughout closing. As a seasoned Investor, the Investor wanted the protection of a Corp in its corporate veil. I was aware that the Business was required to be in the business of Real Estate. What I was not aware of that the Business, Corp, or LLC must be in the Business of Real Estate Only. The Corporation had Real Estates and other types of business included. The Corporation could not be approved. This was a curve ball. Working with Hannah we regrouped and I had a New LLC set up. Working one issue at a time, with a little UW condition redundancy. This is with the State of Florida requiring all new License Registration, Articles of Incorporation, Operating Agreement, IRS EIN and all of the other Authorization Resolutions, and Signer Authorization. We still Closed with in 15 days and hit it out of the park. Amazing!!! read more

Companies get the credit but its the people who make or break a relationship. Without great people there aren't great companies. For my transaction, the people were Jodi Moran, Account Executive and Melissa Kasnick, Master of the Mortgage Universe. (OK, that's my title for her. JMAC calls her something more mundane like Account Manager but mine is much more accurate.). Returned calls were fast. Any faster and they would have been sending me the answer to my questions before I asked for them. If they didn't have the answer, they got it. And they didn't hesitate to be proactive and helpful even when it really wasn't their responsibility. In fairness, there were a lot of other people in the background at JMAC who made my closing happen smoothly and on time. Like many others, I am fast to criticize when service is poor. I think its only fair that I recognize exceptional service. just as quickly. My clients expect exceptional service. It takes an exceptional partner for me to deliver that. I have been an approved broker sending loans to JMAC for almost 10 years now. I can't begin to say enough great things about them. From the setup desk to funding, they do it right. Their website is super easy to navigate, their pop up chat system is super helpful, and if you still need help every member of their staff is willing to help! I have had the pleasure of working with Anne Nguyen my whole relationship with this lender. She is the best of the best. Answers all of my emails (sometimes ridiculous) promptly. Calvin Dinh is also on our account and he is just as awesome. Every underwriter, funder, etc are all so polite and ready to work. I have even done my personal loan through the years with them. Bottom line, the best quality they possess is being CONSISTENTLY great. It's not a fluke. If you send loans to them you will see they are consistently awesome on your files. I am a broker and I can tell you - ALL lenders, because of increased regulation - are a little more difficult these days than maybe you were used to, or maybe than you were expecting. Gone are the days of bringing the office pizza and getting your loan underwritten the same day you submit.... you have to follow the program! All I can say is, although I've had my fair share of "huh??" thoughts, this place is very professional and they do their best to get the job done. Pricing is as good as can be found, and they seem to follow through. Now if they would just answer the phone... and be able to transfer you to someone besides an answering machine.... and return their emails in a timely manner. No seriously... if the loan fits the programs and your broker knows what he's doing (and doesn't need anyone to answer questions) - it is a fine place to do business. read more

Ruth Mcintyre is one of the best reps there is, she will explain lenders' different products so you can select the best product available for your client, she is always available to help and ensure you get a smooth closing process. Bill Haupert, did an amazing job as always by sending the documents in a prompt manner to the underwriter and although many of the underwriters are excellent Nicole Jasso is one of the best, Finally Lily Nguyen, did an amazing job on getting the final documents out to the title company as well as funding so we could close our file. Just closed my first purchase loan with JMAC. It was a manual underwrite, FHA purchase and we closed in 15 days! Very happy with the great rate and the smooth process. I want to especially recognize Bridgette Klein as an excellent AE. She made sure I understood the submission process and had all of the tools in place to have a smooth transaction for my borrowers. These underwriters are idiots! C'mon think professionally and use some common sense. For example, they ask for reason I apply for credit at Home Depot? C'mon, common sense for crying out loud. Am I not allowed to apply for credit while also applying for a loan. These people are stupid. The question they ask are ridiculuos. Heck, McDonald's employees are much smarter, at least they can count money. I don't want to say this but I feel "they employ high school dropouts". The worst part is they DO NOT use commom sense because they aren't well educated. Please stay away from these folks, save yourself the pain and suffering. Don't say I didn't warn you. read more

Keith was responsive, knowledgeable and helpful which got us off to a great start. We submitted all the paperwork on 4/9. After that, we worked primarily with Debra Zaborowski, the LP. Debra was amazing! It's wonderful to work with such authentic, honest, and responsive folks that know their trade well. The loan was conditionally approved in just a few days. These were some amazing people to work with, they think outside the box as well as inside the box. We have been trying to close on this house for 5 years, several attempts with other lenders but Julie Taylor, and Fern Guardado they get stuff done.
