His estimate was high, but I ended hiring him because he called me stating that he can match any estimate. At the end, he charged more than anyone else because materials were not included, but were included on all others. I paid a total of $ 7,642.02 For that amount of money, he was supposed to deliver a good and "Prestige"quality job. 1- He lowered the ceiling in a room where he was supposed to only remove the popcorn. 2 - The material used for the project was not the right material, wasn't strong enough to hold the drywall to the ceiling. 3 - The paint used started to peel the very next day. 4 - The ceiling started cracking the very next day he fixed it. 5 - The ceiling is bulging. He came 3 times after he finished but can't be fix because the whole structure wasn't made properly. 6 - I specifically told him that I had multiple eye surgeries due to retinal detachment on both eyes and I was very sensitive to light. I needed warm light, instead, he put 5K lights all over my place, the ones that are commonly use for garages, not for homes. When I asked about the lights, he lied and told me that those were soft white... After many days, asking him to prove that those strong lights were soft white, he finally confessed and agreed to replace them. 7 - The finish of the ceiling is not flat or knocked down. Has different textures everywhere and patches. Now my ceiling is bulging, you can see bumps and lines everywhere. To fix the problem I would have to demolish everything and start all over, which will cost me $10,500 at least.
