This company does a beautiful job. They are easy to work with and really listen to their clients. Very ethical. Clean. And they take cate of all the small details. I highly recommend them I am adding this update to ask if anyone knows what happened to Lew. I can't seem to reach him by phone , text , email. He came by and we were waiting for designs but nothing. I have called and text and emailed multiple times over the course of a month. No response. Does anyone know if something happened to him? read more

Lew Sabo and his team were nothing less than F-ING INCREDIBLE. Remodeling a home can be extremely stressful but dealing with Lew for all of our built-in cabinets, bookcases, kitchen and bathroom cabinets was so refreshingly simple and easy that it really took a major stressor of our shoulders. Lew was detailed-oriented, stuck to and met all his deadlines (which is so rare in construction!!), and provided so many helpful ideas and suggestions that our home wouldn't be the same without him - seriously. We hired them to build and install our cabinetry but wouldn't hesitate to hire the whole team as our general contractor - which we will absolutely be doing for our next place! Would (and have already!) recommend Lew and his team in a heartbeat, without a single reservation. read more

I cannot say enough great things about Lew and his team. He has shattered any stereotypes for Contractors. He was fast, extremely communicative, and addressed any issues that popped up. He helped us design and plan things that we had no idea where to start. And amazingly, it stayed pretty close to the budget from the start. Lew was great with coordinating the other trades for our project and ensuring they were held to his same standards. This project was our first reno, and it was relatively stress-free and painless. Also helps that he's a great guy. We have future projects on the horizon and will call Lew immediately once we are ready. So if you need a designer and contractor, seriously stop scrolling and call Lew. read more

Sabo Construction custom built a wall of shelves, drawers, and a window seat, complete with glass, lights, electrical, and sheet rock work to hide the cables from a cabinet to the TV. The entire project turned out BETTER THAN WE EVER EXPECTED. Lew's craftsmanship is genius; his ingenuity quickly solved many potential issues. And he doesn't just design and disappear, but he is there every step of the way and physically working just as hard as his team. Not only do I recommend this company, but I'll be using them again soon for other rooms of the house! read more

Lew provided superior client service and a great remodeling experience. A remodel of any sort is no easy feat, but Lew provided the best service from initial e-mail and call, through completion. We were looking to replace our outdated cabinets, install new cabinetry, and install new countertops. Lew came over and spent time with us to not only offer suggestions but mapped out our entire kitchen plan. Shortly thereafter he sent us a quote, we decided we wanted to continue enhancing the look so Lew came out again. He was not only pleasant and easy to work with, but was honest. Finding a reliable and trustworthy contractor is not easy to find in 2016 - but I could tell from his demeanor that the quality of his service would be stellar. Throughout the project, we continued to add more items like electrical outlets, microwave ducting, painting, and Lew's prices were very fair and reasonable. I think the best quality about Lew, is he is reliable. He did our kitchen over 3 days, and every step of the day stayed late and worked very hard with his crew. He protected our newly laid tile and draped plastic to ensure that dust and construction debris would not escape the kitchen. I must say, working with Lew was a pleasure, and I am extremely satisfied with my new cabinetry. I will use Lew and his team for my next home's kitchen remodel. read more

Used these guys some time ago and I just had to come back here and leave a review! Several years ago, when I was still single I rented a tiny apartment in Hollywood that was so boring that the only way I could describe it as "I just sleep there" Lew was nice enough to stop by and give me his ideas about making the place look better, more comfortable and "user friendlier", sort of speak. I liked what he offered and just gave him full freedom to do what he thought was best. Instead of describing how great of a job Chelsea Furniture did let me just say that when my rent ended and I had to move the furniture out of the apartment the manager asked me to leave everything in place. Custom furniture that Lew built for my place, including computer and kitchen bar tables looked so good, the building management decided that instead of emptying the place custom furniture will only raise the value of the place! Thank you Chelsea Furniture design. Highly recommended. read more

My 2yr old son is a cancer survivor. For the majority of this year (2017) he battled leukemia with 2 rounds of chemo and a bone marrow transplant. In complete desperation to turn 'going to the OR' to be fun, my husband and I started referring to gurneys as 'airplane beds'. After 115 days inpatient, going under 15 times, 31 platelet transfusions, and 15 blood transfusions, we were finally going to be able to bring Pierce home. Lew found out about our story and built us the most incredible airplane bed for Pierce. Words cannot describe the craftsmanship and thought that went into this. We had a tight timeline, and Lew installed it days before Pierce came home. He went the extra mile to find kid-friendly wood, lead-free paint. Lew had the foresight to raise the bed, build it with bookshelves, and drawers, and design it in such a way that the 'airplane' parts can be removed when Pierce outgrows the design. Lew even crafted a 'hidden shelf' because he liked those things when he was a kid. We were humbled that Lew and his team could do this with such a quick turnaround. He took extra caution to paint it meaningful colors for Pierce (gold is the color for pediatric cancer and orange is the color for Leukemia). The quality of his work speaks wonders to the pride he takes in his job. Lew's craftsmanship, this amazing airplane bed, was a highlight for Pierce when he finally came home and is an absolute highlight when people come to visit. Thank you Lew, from the bottom of our hearts. Looking forward to working again with you soon. read more

I had a great experience working with Lew in designing a wall to wall entertainment center with fireplace. He saw my vision when I explained it to him and he offered some great suggestions to make it even better. I like that he met with me a few times to go over the details before finalizing the plans, and he was open to make adjustments as needed. The tiler and painters he works with were very professional and did great work as well. I would recommend Lew for any custom project and hope to work with him again in the future. read more

First time I worked with Lew Sabo, was when I needed to redesign my garage. At the time, I had requested a couple of different bids and consultations. Two of the consultations never showed up, and never followed up. Another consultation took one look at my Garage, and within five minutes didn't ask me what I want, just gave me a bid. When I had reached out to Lew, I already had a bad taste in my mouth about contractors. He was super professional, and let me know that he would be at my house to take a look at what I was talking about. He spent 45 minutes going over my vision for my garage. Talking about the things that I wanted, asking me what my details were, and even suggesting things that he thought I would like. At first I thought he was trying to upsell his work, and then I realized he's just trying to get to know what I want and make sure that I was happy. When he came back to me with a bid, it was absolutely reasonable. I was incredibly happy with the work he done to my garage. After my experience with Lew, I will never go to another contractor. My loyalty runs deep for the people who take pride in their work, and have standards and ethics. When I opened my business, Lew was the man I called and he made my business my dream. He is everything I want in a contractor, passionate, attentive, and fixes his mistakes. I highly recommend them if I could give them 10 stars I would. read more

We hired Sabo Design to redo the closets in the master bedroom for my wife and I. Lew's unceasing attention to detail and his ability not to just visualize the concept but bring it to life is truly remarkable. First, he examined and measures the area and discussed our budget and our wants, then he created 3D renderings of the closets, then he custom built everything from scratch and installed it. At each phase he continued to take input from us. He even went a step and beyond to order accessories for our closets that would tailor well with the overall end product. We are very glad that we found Lew and would recommend his services to anyone who is seeking to have the job done by a professional who takes pride in his work. read more

We are so fortunate to have worked with Chelsea and Lew on a project that was 8 years in the making. This past November we finally pulled the trigger and it was done well before Christmas. I am giving this company one star because I never heard back from them. I received a Yelp message asking if I still needed their service and when I gave specs of what I wanted done...there were no response back. I am not connected in any way to the owner or employees, and I did not get any freebies for writing this review. I found this service online, just like most of us do, and am incredibly happy with the results. Lou turned out to be not just your average craftsman, but an artist. He told me right from the beginning that Sabo Designs was his hobby and passion. When I saw the result, it surpassed my expectations. Kitchen cabinet door they fixed looked better than when it was new. Mr. Sabo came to our house to give us estimates. The first thing I noticed was he was punctual to arrive and he took off his shoes before entering an Asian's house. He was very attentive and respectful to the culture of another ethic group. I was impressed. Then he gave us an estimate in total amount and also a detailed breakdown line by line. Very clear. From his portfolio, I got the idea that he could do an excellent job. He also gave us some modern ideas of where else in my house needing improvements so that we may be able to sell our house faster. He gave good advices. My husband and I enjoyed talking to him although we haven't decided what we are going to do with our limited budget. I am sure at some point, we would certainly need his help. He is a person with high integrity. By this opportunity I say, THANK YOU, MR. SABO. read more

Lew came out and created fine cabinetry and refinished the entire kitchen.Thank you Chelsea Furniture for your amazing quality of work! :) read more

Lew has been a great help in redoing my condo. He refaced my kitchen cabinets and installed new granite countertops. I had MANY different companies bid on this project and he was by far the most economical. I called numerous references he provided and I'm so happy that I selected him for the job. He is a pleasure to have in your home- both respectful and kind. It seems like a friend is over instead of being annoyed by workers intruding your space. Lew comes through for me all the time. We are a construction company and often use his services. 5 stars every single time!!

Lew came to the house and was very knowledgeable. He had good ideas and was looking forward to working with him. After several texts and calls waiting for the estimate, I received none. He said he would get back to me and no estimate. Several more texts and no word. If he was not interested in my project he should just say so rather than me wasting 2 weeks waiting to work with him. It would have been one star but he was pleasant and had some good ideas. read more
