I cannot say enough great things about Lew and his team. He has shattered any stereotypes for Contractors. He was fast, extremely communicative, and addressed any issues that popped up. He helped us design and plan things that we had no idea where to start. And amazingly, it stayed pretty close to the budget from the start. Sabo Construction custom built a wall of shelves, drawers, and a window seat, complete with glass, lights, electrical, and sheet rock work to hide the cables from a cabinet to the TV. The entire project turned out BETTER THAN WE EVER EXPECTED. Lew's craftsmanship is genius; his ingenuity quickly solved many potential issues. Lew provided superior client service and a great remodeling experience. A remodel of any sort is no easy feat, but Lew provided the best service from initial e-mail and call, through completion. We were looking to replace our outdated cabinets, install new cabinetry, and install new countertops. Lew came over and spent time with us to not only offer suggestions but mapped out our entire kitchen plan. Shortly thereafter he sent us a quote, we decided we wanted to continue enhancing the look so Lew came out again. He was not only pleasant and easy to work with, but was honest. Used these guys some time ago and I just had to come back here and leave a review! Several years ago, when I was still single I rented a tiny apartment in Hollywood that was so boring that the only way I could describe it as "I just sleep there" Lew was nice enough to stop by and give me his ideas about making the place look better, more comfortable and "user friendlier", sort of speak. I liked what he offered and just gave him full freedom to do what he thought was best. Instead of describing how great of a job Chelsea Furniture did let me just say that when my rent ended and I had to move the furniture out of the apartment the manager asked me to leave everything in place. Custom furniture that Lew built for my place, including computer and kitchen bar tables looked so good, the building management decided that instead of emptying the place custom furniture will only raise the value of the place! My 2yr old son is a cancer survivor. For the majority of this year (2017) he battled leukemia with 2 rounds of chemo and a bone marrow transplant. In complete desperation to turn 'going to the OR' to be fun, my husband and I started referring to gurneys as 'airplane beds'. After 115 days inpatient, going under 15 times, 31 platelet transfusions, and 15 blood transfusions, we were finally going to be able to bring Pierce home. Lew found out about our story and built us the most incredible airplane bed for Pierce. Words cannot describe the craftsmanship and thought that went into this. We had a tight timeline, and Lew installed it days before Pierce came home. He went the extra mile to find kid-friendly wood, lead-free paint. Lew had the foresight to raise the bed, build it with bookshelves, and drawers, and design it in such a way that the 'airplane' parts can be removed when Pierce outgrows the design. Lew even crafted a 'hidden shelf' because he liked those things when he was a kid. We were humbled that Lew and his team could do this with such a quick turnaround. He took extra caution to paint it meaningful colors for Pierce (gold is the color for pediatric cancer and orange is the color for Leukemia). The quality of his work speaks wonders to the pride he takes in his job. Lew's craftsmanship, this amazing airplane bed, was a highlight for Pierce when he finally came home and is an absolute highlight when people come to visit. First time I worked with Lew Sabo, was when I needed to redesign my garage. At the time, I had requested a couple of different bids and consultations. Two of the consultations never showed up, and never followed up. Another consultation took one look at my Garage, and within five minutes didn't ask me what I want, just gave me a bid. My husband and I are very happy with the service Lew Sabo (the owner) and his assistant provided. We hired Chelsea Furniture Design to create an entertainment until in the alcove in our family room. We had obtained several estimates and chose Chelsea because the design was attractive, the price was reasonable, and Lew impressed us with his professionalism, courtesy, and knowledge. This project was a little challenging because we needed the unit to look good now while being able to accommodate a larger flat-screen TV in the future. We also needed more storage space than we had room for. Lew's solution was to build shelves in the alcove and mount the TV on an arm that extends beyond the shelves and hides them. Lew bought the arm and mounted the TV so we didn't have to. Nice! Now we can access the shelves by simply moving the TV. There was a very small gap between the bottom of the entertainment unit and the top of the alcove base, which Lew covered with a thin strip of molding. The finished unit harmonizes with the surrounding woodwork and looks like it came with the house instead of being added later. Would we hire Chelsea Furniture Design again? Definitely. read more
