Tom and Matt went to great lengths to make sure the new pavers were well-seated and level; the new wooden stair (with cool post-top solar light caps) makes a beautiful and safer entry to our lowest patio level. Lots of "little" things, too. New gardens, some new paths, a soil ramp to the stair top, etc. We'd use these guys again in a heartbeat.

I called them to get an estimate on some landscaping and work I needed done in my yard and driveway. It took them 2 weeks to come out and look at my property. Then after not hearing from them for another week, we called to ask for the estimate. They told us to come to the nursery. We drove up to the nursery and were told they didn't have the price yet for the pavers we needed. At that point, I already knew I wasn't going to hire them. I asked them to give me an estimate for the labor and they weren't quite sure. Why waste my time in coming to the nursery if you can't tell me anything? That's not professional. Finally, after a month, we were told it would cost $1,300.00 for the labor and pavers. By then, I had gotten a quote from someone else which charged me $900.00 for same.

I can not begin to express our disappointment in quality work, lack of communication, and ruining the shape of the 25 year old trees. They will never look the same again. (Credentials: My partner is a state certified aborist visiting from MA. Her opinion below) Birches are meant to be fully shaped! They didn't ask what the homeowner wanted and, when asked, disregarded the concern halfway through cutting all the way up the side of the trees. We had hired an expert and were left with poorly shaped trees and ruts in the yard from the bucket truck. Sadly, they will not take responsibility for either or offer to fix these oversights. They did not consult the homeowner or walk the property with her or ask what her priorities are. No regard for customers' desires. The foreman stated, "This is how the owner wants the trees to look." (The foreman shared that he worked for the state highway department. I have seen they often trim trees back to the trunk ) My partner, a professional state certified arborist, call for no more than 30% trimming and shared, "They were just lazy, and didn't want to climb to remove the proper braches. They should have consulted the customer." Is this the work you want from an expert? Now the trees will never be the same, The lower growth will NEVER COME BACK. Update: The customer, my mother, is so incredibly unhappy with the work and doesn't want to revisit how upset she is. Nothing can be done to fix the atrocities done to the trees, and she doesn't want to break down over the phone. I am speaking on what she can't bear to share: how ruined the trees were after signing a contract. You should be ashamed for taking advantage of the elderly with a contract missing industry standard language of "remove branches 2 in diameter" or "remove branches 10 ft and below."

Jose came out promptly to look at our back yard. I asked him to bury a long hose from our sump…read morepump to a storm sewer 60 feet away deep enough so that it would not freeze in the winter. He suggested PVC pipe instead of my hose. He and two employees completed the work, cleaned up and replaced the sod in just a few hours, when it was convenient for us. Our sump pump failed the night before they arrived, and Jose took the time to help me remove the old one and install a new one at no additional cost.
