Matt responded to my random SOS email quickly, clarified what was needed, and made it happen within a week. He was in and out of the property within just a couple of hours. He was clear about pricing and gave a reasonable bid. My dad already said he is relieved to have the handrail there for balance as he brings in groceries. Would definitely use Matt/Gardenscapes again.

They had lots of outdoor decor, seasonal plants, and even jams and jarred good, also anything you may need to take care of your yard and flowers. I had some delicious apple cider tea that I will definitely return for next year. There was also a neat clearance area with great deals! The staff was very friendly and helpful. I thought I'd give Musall & Sons some landscaping business since I want to support a neighborhood…read morebusiness. I called them to get an estimate on some landscaping and work I needed done in my yard and driveway. It took them 2 weeks to come out and look at my property. Then after not hearing from them for another week, we called to ask for the estimate. They told us to come to the nursery. We drove up to the nursery and were told they didn't have the price yet for the pavers we needed. At that point, I already knew I wasn't going to hire them. I asked them to give me an estimate for the labor and they weren't quite sure. Why waste my time in coming to the nursery if you can't tell me anything? That's not professional. Finally, after a month, we were told it would cost $1,300.00 for the labor and pavers. By then, I had gotten a quote from someone else which charged me $900.00 for same.

They were asked to "trim the trees" and remove deadwood from the river birches. Unfortunately, we…read morewere left with just the top of the trees! 25 years of growth ruined! I can not begin to express our disappointment in quality work, lack of communication, and ruining the shape of the 25 year old trees. They will never look the same again. (Credentials: My partner is a state certified aborist visiting from MA. Her opinion below) Birches are meant to be fully shaped! They didn't ask what the homeowner wanted and, when asked, disregarded the concern halfway through cutting all the way up the side of the trees. We had hired an expert and were left with poorly shaped trees and ruts in the yard from the bucket truck. Sadly, they will not take responsibility for either or offer to fix these oversights. They did not consult the homeowner or walk the property with her or ask what her priorities are. No regard for customers' desires. The foreman stated, "This is how the owner wants the trees to look." (The foreman shared that he worked for the state highway department. I have seen they often trim trees back to the trunk ) My partner, a professional state certified arborist, call for no more than 30% trimming and shared, "They were just lazy, and didn't want to climb to remove the proper braches. They should have consulted the customer." Is this the work you want from an expert? Now the trees will never be the same, The lower growth will NEVER COME BACK. Update: The customer, my mother, is so incredibly unhappy with the work and doesn't want to revisit how upset she is. Nothing can be done to fix the atrocities done to the trees, and she doesn't want to break down over the phone. I am speaking on what she can't bear to share: how ruined the trees were after signing a contract. You should be ashamed for taking advantage of the elderly with a contract missing industry standard language of "remove branches 2 in diameter" or "remove branches 10 ft and below."
