Parking is tight, so you may have to loop around once or twice and take note of their drop off times if making donations. My only (minor) gripe is with one of the staff members, a blonde lady, who can be fairly rude about what you're donating. My wife and I gave a Cuisinart appliance, a DeWalt cordless drill, a few odds and ends, and a pair of Wolverine work boots. The stink face she made at the boots was insulting. Before I could tell her what a used pair typically runs, she tossed them in a bin and made a bee line elsewhere. Sad. Just a week earlier, I took a few items in and everything went great with different person who was extremely appreciative.

I guess that's good because then you can or have a store associate carry it straight out to your car instead of pulling it around the back or whatever. The only thing I didn't like is that the aisle are too tight. I mean, there are a lot of items on the racks but the racks are too close together so if someone comes down the aisle with a cart then you're screwed and have to play that game of chicken to see who's going to back out first. Slowly creeping closer and closer down the aisle until one of you decides to back on out. I went on a weekend and it was a price explosion. True that many of the GW's in the area have higher prices. I think pricing the more known name brands can be extreme at times since I can just go to a regular store and get it for that price, but even the branded apparel with higher prices wasn't too bad. The green tag sale really helped me make up my mind as well as to whether I "really" needed some things. I would say go when there are tag sales because you may be more apt to buy something. I will also say, the GW's in the area really don't skip on the tag sales. Normally you go to places like Value Village or whatever and there are like 1 or 2 items with the tag of the day on the rack. This GW was loaded with items with the right color tag. I got 15 dress shirts for a little over $9. Yeah....I know!!! Overwhelmed with emotions. All I'm saying is that the gems are not hidden. Good quality items & it doesn't smell all dank and musty. I almost shat myself when I saw VHS for 49 cent. **DECEASED*** If I'm in the area, I'll definitely go back. Good quantity of cashiers as well, so the line isn't snaking around the corner for 1 cashier.

Whoever thought having "all records $5" right next to a "records $10-$15" sign and telling me "yeah, I barely work here and don't know why that $5 sign is there" tells me one of two things. You're lying or incompetent. There is a huge collection of records, and most of them are missing, damaged vinyls/sleeves, and complete unknowns not even worth $1. Do better with your prices or try to clean up the collection, and work at it a bit.

Some of these oddities are really just for admiration and to look at like the sarcophagus that is encased in glass here. It's really something onto itself coming into this shop and getting lost in it. I imagine some of the empty rooms could be meant for tenants that sell different merchandise but it's so far inside this main place I'm not sure how much foot traffic they would receive which accounts for most of these rooms being vacant. Unusual and vast this antique shop is definitely worth checking out when strolling through the antique district of Tacoma.

It's been a great place for furniture. We have two chairs in our living room from St. Vincent. Best of all is the courteous staff. It is now just a junk parts store where they don't inventory to scrap parts not selling and keep items where you can find them. They also changed sales personnel who are now not helpful and the sales clerks are rude and unfriendly. Their prices are now extremely high, almost like retail like Lowes.
