Overall very happy with Robison Engineering…read more Last year I bought a piece of land with horrible erosion, drainage issues and a man made seasonal pond that was over 5k sq ft. Knowing I was going to need to find an engineer with water/flood experience, I began to ask around for recommendations. A local business owner who built his business near a river recommended Robison engineering to me and specifically, he recommended Nathan. I emailed the company from their website, described the issues on my land and said I would like to work with Nathan if possible because he was recommended highly. I received an email back within hours from Nathan saying he'd be happy to work with me and help get the water issues and concerns under control. I was shocked to see Nathan's last name in the email -Robison. Not only did Nathan respond to my email quickly and agree to help, he is the owner of the company! I was not expecting that at all. I even said to him, I am sure you are extremely busy since you're the owner and I completely understand if you hand this off to another engineer but he said he'd do the plans himself. Though it did take him a bit longer than I was expecting- I had hoped one month but it took four which included getting the permits approved by the county- the plans he created were very detailed and professional. He even recommended a few contractors he has worked with in the past and thought would be good for my job specifically. It's been a year now and his drainage plans seem to have worked! The land is draining and dry now!

I cannot say enough good things about Robison Engineering Company and Nathan, their Principal…read moreEngineer. Initially, I had contracted another company to help me with the construction of my new manufactured home, but after making me wait over nine months just for a mere proposal and then trying to overcharge me, I was at my wits' end. When I reached out to Robison Engineering, Nathan not only listened to my situation, but he also showed unmatched compassion and professionalism. Within just a few days, he completed the entire foundation plan for my new home, helped me with fees, and even did the work pro bono. On top of that, he went above and beyond by verifying the floor plan with the fire department, ensuring county approval so construction could move forward without delay. In less than two weeks, Nathan and his team accomplished more than local companies had in almost a year. If you're looking for timely, high-quality, and truly professional service, look no further than Robison Engineering. They are the unsung heroes who help build--and uplift--our local communities.

We had a fantastic experience working with Chet, Denny, and the entire Deck Envy team. From the…read morefirst conversation through the final walkthrough, they were professional, honest, and easy to work with. The quality of the craftsmanship is outstanding, and it's clear they take pride in building decks that are made to last. Communication was great throughout the project, they stayed on schedule, and the finished product exceeded our expectations. If you're looking for a reliable deck builder in the Truckee/Tahoe area, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Deck Envy Construction. Thanks again Guys!!!

Here's my original review: Chet had ambitions to expand…read morebeyond doing decks and claimed he was capable enough to build a garage, replace windows, install new siding, and more. I have windows and doors that leak whenever it rains. The roof leaks where Chet's construction meets the original roof. Snow blows in through the corners of exterior doors. Deadbolts do not lock because they don't align with strike plates. Screws on the deck protrude above the surface because they were not driven completely flush. Electrical outlet wall plates are missing and some outlets are missing screws to hold it securely in the box. A window cracked while they were installing siding and trim, but Chet claimed it was already cracked and refused to take responsibility. Chet's crew locked themselves out of my house when I was out of town, so they kicked the front door in - they never replaced or repaired the door frame. I was picking up cigarette butts and trash around the house and on my property for several weeks after Chet's crew was "finished." Windows were smeared with wood stain and never cleaned. If details and quality work are important to you, avoid Chet, Deck Envy and NXT LVL. If you want to help pay for Chet's fancy cars and expensive shoes, by all means, hire these clowns. This is my update after Deck Envy claimed they never did work for us: April 19, 2024: Rich Fougner and Gregg Betonte, representing themselves as Deck Envy's "new management," called my cell phone. They stated they were calling in response to this Yelp review. They asked, "Can you give us a chance to correct the situation?" April 22, 2024: Rich and Gregg visited my house. They took out their phones and photographed the problems. Before leaving, they promised to fix these problems. May 16, 2024: Gregg emailed, asking me to take down the review before he sends a crew to fix anything. I told him I would gladly take down the review, but only after the problems were addressed. I never heard back from Gregg nor anyone from Deck Envy, until December 20, 2024 - the response to my original review. I have a copy of the contract. Job Number 424. Signed by Chet Luedtke, dated 11/08/19. I have copies of invoices, too. For example: Invoice 8, Job Number 424, dated July 9, 2020. I'm sure Tahoe Donner has your company on record as the contractor, as well. Perhaps if your records are incomplete, you can follow up with Tahoe Donner's office to confirm. Deck Envy's claim that they never did work at this property is untenable.

I can unequivocally recommend Andrew at his firm, Element Engineering, to anyone looking for…read moreexcellence in knowledge and practice, but also for a man of integrity! I had somewhat anticipated that a typical structural engineer, may heedlessly dismiss my concerns. However, to my great relief and benefit, I found Andrew. When I presented Andrew with a whole host of structural dilemmas, there was NO dismissal from him. He went far beyond the call of duty, painstakingly tackling and anaylizing each and every issue! He provided a clear assessment of each item along with his recommendations. For one of the more baffling issues, he came up with a couple out-of-the-box, creative solutions! The feeling was, he cared,...and really wanted to help resolve the issues, no matter how seemingly innocuous. That kind of individual is pretty rare these days, so for this, I could not recommend him any more highly!! You won't go wrong with Andrew!
