During the initial diagnostic visit, the entire time the technician was more concerned about making…read moreYouTube videos on rv repairs than actually working to find the issues. The technician finished looking around and came to explain that he knew exactly what needed to be done in order to fix all of our issues. He explained that there would be a cheaper option and a very expensive option to get our AC units up and working again, he knew all the parts needed to get us back up and running again. So after All the diagnostic was done we were told that we would get our diagnostic bill and as soon as it was paid, we would get a list by end of day for parts that were needed to fix our issues and quote to do the work, at the time of deposit we would also get an idea of when to schedule for them to come out and finish with repairs. Then I had to reach out to them in the middle of the next day because I still had not heard from them, they threw together a parts list that was not completed compared to what the technician had explained to us. When I responded and said that parts were missing, I was told that additional diagnostic was needed. But would not be charged additional diagnostic, Neither would any additional service call fees for any additional visits. So I reluctantly paid the deposit for parts. I was sent a receipt for parts, but no additional communication on estimated time of arrival for parts or communication on when they would possibly be out depending on parts arrival, Nothing. In my history of dealing with contractors, that's sketchy, Not hearing from them at all after paying for parts. During this time I had reached out and informed them that I had a family member pass away and was working on funeral arrangements as well as needing to travel out of state for another dire family situation so I needed them to keep up with me so I knew what was going on and keep my schedule on track. And I was met with no communication until I called and left an irate voicemail about customer service and communication, and how I felt I was being scammed out of my money. Only then did I get response on an approximation on when parts would arrive, and it would be two weeks and a day later. They were 45 minutes late for appointment, showed up, no word to my wife or myself and just switch off our power. The propane part was incorrectly installed in 15 minutes, but the original technician that came during diagnostic visit was back STILL FOCUSED ON MAKING YOUTUBE VIDEOS FOR the whole 30 mins he was here. Came in, told us EXACTLY what he told us the first time, packed up and left, still with no AC and 10 minutes later I got a labor bill sent to me for $500! At this point, I had had enough with the games. I reached out again and explained that I was not paying $500 for them to be 45 minutes late for a 30 minute job where, the communication sucked, and nothing was fixed properly, was just given the same information as the diagnostic visit, and yet they still needed extra parts that we're supposed to be ordered the first time around. I went back-and-forth with their customer service representative most of the day until they got snippy and said that they would reach out to the owner to figure out what they could do.... The next day I was told that what I signed for was completed and that I would need more parts in order to finish the job where I was then sent another quote for an additional $1200 in parts and labor service call fee. The best thing that they could do for us would be to credit us an hour of labor for all of our troubles. Which I still had to go in and have them change three times because the credit wasn't added on the quote properly.... The numbers just kept going up, after the third time of correcting them I noticed they were still trying to charge that service call fee even after saying they wouldn't for additional visits. Month and half later, I have had a different technician company Fix their mess with far better communication and customer service, and confirmed the parts ordered initially for our Ac unit was not needed, and if they would have done the repairs to our third ac unit that they planned on doing it would have caused a fire because the unit was in far worse condition than they lead us to believe!

Leon text me about an hour later and asked if 10:00 the next morning would be okay. I replied yes. At a little after 10:00 that next morning, I received a text advising that Leon was running behind and would be a little late. At 12:00 I still had not seen or heard from Leon so I text back for an update. About a hour later I received a reply saying he was tied up and it would be after 2:00 but I was next on the list. "Leon the liar" never called, text, or showed up. Don't waist your time with this guy. We then called NextLevel RV and they came out that day and fixed our problem.

I called to verify he was still coming and he did not even recall this, but after I jogged his memory he then stated I'm a man of my word and I'll be there He did n't show, so I called again, again he stated he would be there the next day, I called and verified , he stated he would be there, and again he didn't show. Now he is not answering my calls, he also left the plastic cover on the roof unit. this could have caused irreparable damage. The unit could have overheated, or worse caught fire. Twice Leon blew us off by not calling back or showing up when he said he would and I finally had to have another repairman come and finish his shoddy work and remove the fire hazard on my roof. Would not recommend him for RV repairs, and if there was a negative star I would have given it to him.

Bottom line up front, I brought my camper in for a consignment sale to be sold on Travelcamp's lot,…read moreduring which time it was damaged and Travelcamp said it was unable to be repaired due to a lack of repair supplies at their dealership. This entire process took over 8 months of dealing with 4 different managers who often did not return my calls or texts, and placed the burden of coordination within their company and corporate office on me. I brought my camper here and entered into a 90 consignment deal to sell it at Travelcamp. After the 90 days were up, I called to arrange a pickup of my camper so that I could bring it to another dealership to sell since it hadn't sold at Travelcamp. I tried for over a week to get in touch with a consignment sales representative to arrange the pickup but nobody answered, so after a week, I showed up to Travelcamp to pick up my travel trailer. When I arrived, the camper was brought to the front of the lot, and I discovered that a window in the camper had been left open for a period of time which allowed the camper to flood on the inside due to rain storms, causing significant water damage to the inside of the camper. I initially complained about this to the manager about the damage to which he replied that he would have the unit detailed. I told him that wasn't enough and that the water damage inside the camper needed to be repaired, and not simply detailed. He then told me that he didn't "know what to do" and that I would have to take the issue up with the corporate office. I attempted to call the corporate office over 50 times over the following 5 days and never received a response either by phone, email, or text. I left a message on every single call. Additionally I placed at least another 10 calls to the consignment sales team at Travelcamp as well as to the manager that originally signed my consignment sales contract, and still did not receive an answer. About a week after my initial calls, a member from the corporate office returned my calls and said that they couldn't help me, but that another corporate representative would be reaching out to me. I received a call from an individual the next day and they told me that my camper would be repaired on Travelcamp's dime, and that my original consignment manager would be the leading point of contact for all business going forward. Fast forward approximately 3 months: In dealing with the Travelcamp repair center, I was told by the initial manager that I dealt with 3 months after the initial discovery of the water damage inside, that my camper was "repaired" and that "it [was] in better shape than when I brought it in" for its original sale. Additionally as a gesture of good faith, Travelcamp offered to pay for an independent RV inspector to come and inspect the repair job. After the inspection technician and I had inspected the unit, we found an attempted repair job to the camper where an 8"x8" square had been cut out of the wall and then a patch job was attempted where a random piece of material was sloppily glued on top of the existing wall. Additionally, there was white fuzzy material still growing out of the floor of the camper which I presumed to be a result of the previous water damage, and shrunken and rotted wall paneling where water had been soaked up into the side wall of the inside of the camper. I expressed to the service department that the repair job was unacceptable and they told me that due to material shortages, that they would not be able to do anything else for me or perform any further repair job. I told them that they needed to purchase the camper to make it right if it couldn't be repaired. Once again I was told that I would have to deal with the corporate office and that nothing could be done for me at the local dealership. Additionally, the managers tried several times to get me to use my personal insurance to make a claim against the camper to have the damage fixed; a suggestion that I refused multiple times because I didn't want to raise my personal insurance rates for damage caused by Travelcamp. Fast forward another month, and I finally got a meeting with the corporate office sales representative, who was the only positive point of contact from this entire experience. I told him the entire story, 8 months start to finish with this consignment deal, the damage done to the unit, and the botched repair job for which he apologized and bought the camper from me. This is a very brief overview of my experience with Travelcamp. I will not be returning as a customer.
