OffKey itself is a fun karaoke bar with private rooms for groups. Our group had a great time going through various songs in the catalogue and enjoying a few drinks. We didn't spend much time at the actual bar out in the main area, but it looked snazzy and our waitress was on the ball with drinks to our private room. My minor quibbles are that several of the songs...the lyrics weren't actually right? And it didn't seem like the mics worked particularly well. But it was good enough for friends just having drinks blasting out well known tunes together. Overall it was a good time. Just dress appropriately for the walk over, make sure you've got your ID (they card), and try not to sing too far...off key.

The room was reasonably comfortable, though maybe could have used one or two more TVs to reduce neck strain for all the seating. The person taking orders for our room was friendly but slow to bring orders or circle back for new orders. We appreciated having some cups and water left for us to fill the gap between drinks. The sound system or the platform they use at times was difficult to hear the music prompts to follow along. The music seemed a bit too stripped down to pick up at times especially when several people were singing along. The system would add it's own song suggestions, which I can understand the reasoning for that, but it ended up kind of overwhelming our list of preferred songs and we ended up having to frequently skip several songs in a row that had been added "for us". The "disco lights" in the room added a fun touch but there were a couple that were like red laser lights that ended up being a bit too much as they'd zap you in the eyes while trying to watch the screen. I did leave with a stiff neck and a bit of a headache from the lights, but it had already been a long day at the office so that likely added to it.

When I tried to use the equipment at 5:30, the iPad was at 17% and she did not leave a charger or cord. It was an older iPad so someone had to leave and purchase a lightening cable. In addition the TV screens I had paid extra for were asleep and she did not leave a remote to turn them on. So they were unusable. She told me it would be $55 for her to drive out and deliver the remotes (they should have been left in the first place). We went to the store to get a universal remote, tried downloading the Roku app at her suggestion - the TVs failed to work. Paid the up charge for the TV screen to sing a long for no reason. At about 7:45, we finally bypassed the TVs and used the iPad with a speaker - the speaker did not play music at any discernible level so it was just kids singing into a mic on an iPad. As all my guests said it would have better to just buy equipment at Costco. And she will not refund me my money for this debacle. UPDATE: The company tries to blame the weather when it is their fault they forgot to leave remote controls to restart the equipment and a charger for the iPad. And wanted to charge me to deliver the remotes and iPad charger that they forgot to leave. It is absolutely ridiculous. Also your records are wrong the TV screens never worked. I have 75 witnesses if you need support for this claim. I asked to proof of their multiple attempts to reach out after the event, as I never heard from them (other than to confirm pick up). It is so disappointing that they continue to make up things.

They arrived early and set up quickly. They forgot a bar for the backdrop and left to go pick it up. It was about an hour into the party when they arrived back but they let us keep the booth longer for the inconvenience. It didn't help us since the event ended at the same time regardless of whether we had the booth or not. It was a very nice gesture though. They also offered 10% off the next event because the boomerangs had someone else's overlay on them that they couldn't remove, unfortunately. A zip drive was hand-delivered with all the photos from the event within two days.
