But yesterday I arrived to find a new owner updating the Southwest Laundry. The original assistants were nowhere to be found. After asking a few questions, I figured out the new management had fired them! I felt like I couldn't leave without asking them about that and of course they denied that and said the original assistants never worked for them. I did challenge them on that and ask why they "FIRED" them. They said they knew nothing about it. I ask them not insult me like that by assuming I was that stupid. Now we all know what happened here and it's my understanding they are buying several laundromats in town and going thru the same process with all of them. True the updating is a good thing, but firing everyone is example of bad business practices and I'm sure all of you have experienced this in some way. I mean, really? Googled this place and found it. Please beware that this place is in a "shady" part of town and there are going to be some fishy people hanging about, but the facility for the most part is decent. The facility offers all different kinds of washing machines. The one we usually use is called the "Big Boy" which lets us put like 4-5 loads inside of ONE machine for 1.75. Great deal! The dryers take quarters and it will take two to get your clothes dry. Some of them are hard to close because they are de-magnetized. And for us folks who always forget laundry soap and softener, you can buy some Tide and Downy here for .50! Overall, the place isn't the cleanest and they definitely do not have enough seating, but it handled all of my laundry needs, so I'll be back!

Terrible customer service!  I've taken clothes to the cleaners for years so I understand buttons…read morebreak, some stains cannot be removed, and sometimes you get home with someone else's clothes (or someone else gets home with your clothes) by accident... it happens.  But Star Brite ruined an expensive Ramy Brook top of mine and could'nt have cared less.  Zero customer service!  It wasn't flagged; it was hidden in the middle of other clothes; I paid for my cleaning, took it home & hung it in my closet.  When I returned it, I didn't even get a refund for what I paid to have it "cleaned,"  much less any other reimbursement!  And they couldn't find my other clothes... lost for months!  So if you have nice things and/or expect customer service to be provided... do not take anything to Star Brite Cleaners!!!
