Although it's called a diner the little quaint place serves British traditional food. Formerly a transport cafe and looks rather drab from the outside, you will be pleasantly surprised from within. Farmhouse style seating and tables, seating for approx 35 people, so in busy times you may have to wait, but turning up is the freestyle dining facility that's normal here!
The staff are very relaxed and informal (maybe a little too much for my liking). The breakfast menu is good and value for money. Other meals include hot / cold sandwiches and salads.
Overall a nice change to chain restaurants with tasty home cooked value food inc the drinks and juices.
Just remember it is what is it, you can't compare this to a 5 star Michelin restaurant and certainly couldn't compare such a price either... great value and good tasting food. read more
