piss-poor doesn't even begin to explain how terrible of a nightmare it was working with "Johnny." he's barely at the shop (even when he says to come pick up the vehicle) and will mis-diagnose things in order to have you pay more & more and string you along. After having my vehicle for over 3 months and spending WAY more than initially quoted for everything, it's still not fixed. He will say "oh it's this, just need to replace, no biggie I can do" and then takes forever to do the actual work, only for you to come back MULTIPLE times and it still not be fixed. Then he will say "oh dang it's probably this then" and go through the same rigmarole all over again. Once I caught on to his game and got tired of waiting, I picked up my vehicle, took it to Firestone down the road, and they had it diagnosed & fixed PROPERLY the same day. Absolutely do not go here. They took my mom's cash money, ($2000) which I had a come apart about (they made her pay first) I was completely unaware of this until far after the fact. They refused to ever show the work they did with her transmission, but had lots of stories for what they did or a part they couldn't find, on and on, lied and lied and had the truck for months. Wouldn't answer her phone calls or return her messages. So I called, and they answered. I had to take her there on more than one occasion to find out what was going on, they said they were working on it and all three times it was parked against a fence behind another vehicle. Parts were missing from the truck, things were not done properly and we ended up having to crawl the truck out of there and take it somewhere else to have it worked on. Had to actually have a come apart to tell them to give me the keys to the truck so I could take it. The shop we took it straight to, confirmed nothing was ever actually done to the transmission by this shop. They took things off, but just put them back on. It was a complete disaster. read more

If there were 10 stars, I'd give them. Driving thru a town I did not know (end of day Sat), a cover under my car started dragging. I Googled nearest mechanic & was directed here. I saw it was closed, but a man drove in behind me & asked what I needed. He introduced himself as Johnny, the owner. He fixed it in 10 minutes & said "no charge." He wouldn't even take a tip. He said "I'm closed.This was just an act of kindness." Women are used to being taken advantage of by mechanics. I gave a HUGE THANK YOU & smile. 10/07/2020 was the day I dropped off my corvette looking to have the motor fixed. There were issues right away with communication between the mechanic and I. He asked that I pay $510.15 up front. This then proceeded into him taking the engine completely apart and stating he needed more money in order to get replacement parts for said engine. Which he quoted at $1400, my counter offer was $700 up front and then the other $700 after the job was done allowing me time to compensate him fairly.  Exactly a month later I requested an update as it had been plenty of time to replace those parts. I received a message at exactly 11:15am on December 18, 2020 stating that he had blocked me from messaging him. This turned into an almost 6 month process in which said mechanic not only wasted time but never fixed anything and left the engine in parts for me to tow. I have wasted time and money on a car that is now in pieces that I fully expected to drive after a month. The new mechanic (JB Corvette Specialists) took one look at the corvette and stated the paint job ($3000 newly done) was ruined, the engine hadn't been worked on at all aside from taking it apart in pieces and it easily could have been done in a month. If you need to drive your car for work or life, do not take it here. It took two months (yes!) for him to return it and he only gave it back after charging us $3,000. The truck broke down 1 min from his shop and his guy walked over. Can't make this up. We have it all on video. We are not the only customer seeking a lawyer against this shop. We should've read the reviews EVERY where. We took our truck in. It was a simple tune up. We needed the truck and called and texted and the owner said he'd check on it. Then he said it would be another week. Every week he had excuses. There's 25 shops nearby. Go to Denton. Worst shop I've ever been to, they are total scam artists. read more

I would give this man and shop NEGATIVE stars if that was option. DO NOT take your car here! I should have done my homework and read all of the horrible reviews before going here. He made empty promises and has excuse after excuse. NO COMMUNICATION! It was impossible to to get answers from JJ. He had my car for FIVE months and took $3000 of my money, only for ALL of the same lights to come back on a block from his shop. He told me he was "married" to figuring out the problem and unfortunately I believed him. This car was supposed to be for my daughter's 16th Birthday...she woke up on her Birthday with NO car because JJ screwed us. I don't think he even put ANY new parts in it. Tried getting my car repaired for 2 days at another local garage and at a dealer who was backed up 5 days. This guy took me in and test drove the car to see the problem first hand and had me fixed in a couple of hours. He will be getting all my business from now on. He is honest and even drove me home and picked me up after the repair! Very greatfull!! read more

Johnny, his wife, and crew are as honest, solid, and hard working as they come. They will bend over backwards to fix any issues while trying their best to save you the most money you can. Most other places it's quite the opposite. I've never given 5 stars to any other mechanic except for this team. You owe it to yourself to give them a visit. read more

Nope. Never again. Took my vehicle in to get a timing belt replaced. A short time later, my car broke down. Deciding not to take it back to JJ Rush, I took it to the dealership. They took a look and asked me if I tried to replace the belt myself. I said no, I took it here. They said it was done incorrectly, the belt broke, and the engine is now blown. I was going to have to buy a new engine. It was cheaper just to payoff my loan, so I did that instead and had to get a new car. I will NEVER go back here. Prior to that, I went here all the time. I kept having to go back because every time they fixed something, something new broke. Sometimes it was the same thing they fixed and I was told, "It was a bad part. Just buy a new part and I won't charge you labor." It made them seem like they were nice, but in hindsight, it was a giant scam. Thousands of dollars were spent fixing all these new issues for my car. I once had a debate with the owner about a noise my car was having. My car was making a funny noise, I brought it in, and he had the audacity to say I brought it in for a different noise. How many different noises does a car need to make? If you're going to go here, be careful and know that you're dealing with a giant scam artist. read more

My car broke down this place was the only mechanic shop to pick up the phone. He even helped me with a tow truck company that wouldn't charge me an arm and a leg. When I got there they told me the problem and was upfront about all the cost. they also understood that I lived over three hours away, my car was complete the next day. read more

I would give this no stars if it was a choice. These people are crooks and will ruin your vehicle after you pay them large sums of money to fix them. We went with them to fix my vehicle because they were so close to our home. They are nice at first and answer all and any questions you have UNTIL they realize that you are in a bind and take advantage of you. People with money take their vehicles here because they can pay anything and get their vehicles back fixed because they have the funds to take legal actions if otherwise. People like my family and other families that have came forward to me admit that once JJ saw middle class struggling families he used it to his advantage. We put my car with his shop and I didn't see it for 6 months. It needed new heads and seals but had brand new water pump and thermostat. After we would pay a payment it was hard to get information from them about what was going on with the car. When we asked about the progress or how it looked they were very rude to my mother. After half a year JJ told us he had fixed the car and that he would drive it to test for sure. He never put the seals on when putting everything back together and oil was spewing everywhere but somehow it was our responsibility to pay for this fix. We were so fed up with this crooked unprofessional that we paid what was left and took the car back in worse condition then it was before. Now its won't run at all and we wasted over almost $3000. For some that might not seem much but my family has little to no money and because of this hassle we have been set back financially. When we went to old the Caron's take it home I noticed multiple new scratches on the hood and corners of my car. He took certain plastic pieces of by the lights they were unnecessary to even touch. When I asked about it he said it was the hydraulics. Yes I may be young but that does not make me naive. Awhile ago I had remembered a friend told me their car was in the same place and when I had contacted him recently to see his results he revealed to me that our stories were almost exactly alike. He gave them their car after knowing what needed to be done and when they said they had fixed it the car would not even run. My friend had to pay what was left take it back and has little confidence and no money to take legal action. Neighbors that live around the auto shop have complained multiple times of the smell of marijuana from the back yard of the shop. Ex-employees have revealed to us that "we chilled all the time just looking at the cars and sometimes we would get [messed] up and F*** up people's tuners" Don't be a victim of the business. We lost the money we put in and now are struggling to pay bills on top of saving for a new car. If I had the money I would take legal action but it just isn't in our best financial interest to even try to pursue it. Which is what makes most sad to say especially when parents like mine work overtime every week to fix this car they worked so hard and sacrificed to get me. read more

These ppl are freakin awesome!!!! Wife had to get car serviced before road trip to OK for work. Of course we put it off till the last minute. Called up JJ Saturday afternoon and they finished the car an hour or so later. Let them know of other concerns we had with the car so they said if ok we'll keep it and take a look Sunday. They did and called us Sunday. Fixed the issue. Asked if I could pick it up Monday they said ok. Picked it up today (Monday) and realized I needed an oil change in my car but had no ride since wife left from their shop to go to OK. JJ took my truck, dropped me off at home. Called me a few hours later and then came and picked me up to get me to my truck. These guys are awesome!!!!! read more

Took my car in around July/August to have air conditioner fixed. Not even a couple weeks later, had to take it back because it was misdiagnosed the first time. $1500 later and a MISSING KEY that they lost, here it is November and we still have not been given the missing key that has been promised us, NUMEROUS times! The amount of excuses we have all received from these people is beyond ridiculous. The original key still hasn't been found, which led to excuses from them that basically seemed like they lose keys quite often, then led to they found the key but his wife for some reason had it in her car (seriously?!?!) and my husband sitting at the shop for about an hour waiting just for her to say oh nevermind, I'm running errands can I bring it to you tomorrow, which in turn, led to even more excuses of oh it's in my buddy's car I'll have it for you the next day (seriously again?!?!) All of this, and they had never found the key to begin with. This was all a month ago. If they had been up front with us and not started and continued with the lies, this could have been settled quietly and without complaint. I see that there are numerous great reviews here, but why are we the ones that you keep lying to and making excuses for?!? We've been pretty damn patient about this whole mess until now. This is NOT how you run a business, and you better believe you've lost ours and everyone that we know. We just want our key that was promised to us, several times, and everytime one of us has called, you're always ready with more excuses, JUST ORDER THE DAMN KEY AND GET IT TO US SO WE CAN BE DONE WITH THIS RIDICULOUS BULLSHIT!!!
