He's the type of kid that has no interest in group sports but needed an outlet for that pent up energy teenagers have in excess. He absolutely loves it!! He goes 3 times a week and he really looks forward to working. The class works together and the instructors work one on one with the kids also. They are really fantastic. Don't get me wrong this is not a kiddie gym. There is some hard core MMA training going on there too. They will train you as hard as you want to work or as little for that matter. My wife grew up in judo and jui jitsu hence, here we go... We tried the first trial class and signed up for our first month today. The 10am class was packed, but very well run with a combination of senseis and advanced students. My boys got a good workout and I definitely saw them learning some very valuable technique at class #2. As their father, of course I love them, but they are distracted (one diagnosed). I noticed one of the senseis (in a black gi) sitting and working nearly exclusively with them both to help them respect and integrate with the class during the entire time. I was actively watching and very impressed by this attention to two new students. My boys told me his name is sensei John and he was very helpful to them both. With the many things parents try for our kids, I'm hopeful this one sticks.

Read the contract! Business owners cannot pay the rent with hugs & story telling. Yes!! businesses are exactly that! A business! I run a business as well. Not a charity. Though we do give back to the community in many forms. A few years back, I signed up my two children for Tiger Shulman, the contract was for a year and the total was almost $6000.00. And though the Sensei was nice & cool with us, he was still running a business and rightfully expected payment. If one of my clients said one thing, and did another and gave me the runaround, - and not paid their monthly invoice, Id have "NO BUSINESS" and livelihood. Get a grip. Read your contract. Do your homework before wasting everyone's valuable time and efforts.
