This is the Teriyaki Steak Box.
    Michael J.

I went for lunch and had the Teriyaki Steak Box and a house salad. I was there a bit before the normal lunch crowd typically shows up on a Tuesday. I found a table and listened to music while they prepared my food. The vegetables were good, the steak was good too. For $21.94 it was ok. For a quick place to stop and get something to eat it is OK. Not really a place to hang out for a long meal.

Japchae bento and seaweed salad and Korean grape drink (sorry can't read Korean lol)

So good! Decided so have a lunch date in the park with myself and it was great! She was very friendly and the food came out quietly. Really loved the egg omg!! I could have eaten a plate full. Also that drink is so good it has peeled grapes in it and I really recommend it! Will be trying more bentos in the future!

Please do not look any further if you want to experience the best Shrimp Tempura I have ever had. The Shrimp Tempura was made to perfection and extremely succulent, paired with the perfect sauce. The Honey Garlic wings were also amazing, which I had with a side of amazing miso soup. Additionally, I would also recommend the calamari. The selection of food they have here is absolutely delightful. The ambiance is a very clean aesthetic, surrounded with awesome art work. Korean food at it's finest.

#4 Spicy Pork Belly: not very spicy, definitely a lot of delicious food.

Great concept to capture the downtown lunch crowd! It is an order at counter then pick up when a bell rings kind of concept. At around noon on Thursday, I got my lunch quickly. There is a large room next to the order room with plenty of seating for singles, couples as well as groups. My lunch box came with a choice of soup or salad also. The spicy pork belly was not all that spicy. I loved all the little bits of panchan, too. The bonus? They use that good, chewy Korean rice! Service was friendly and efficient. Food's quality and quantity both justify the price. My friend and I both agreed that we will be back.

I eat here offer, everything is fairly priced and tastes good. Service is normally speedy and accurate. Plenty of seating for lunch or small crowds. I would define recommend.

As someone who works downtown, I always love to try new restaurants nearby my work. I walked in today around 1 pm for a late lunch. Hours listed are from 11 am - 2 pm. When I entered the lobby was empty and there were two employees behind the counter. It took me a few minutes to decide what to order. The menu currently consists of fried rice, bento boxes and sushi. The boxes come with house salad or soup, rice, two dumplings and Korean banchan. Boxes range from $13-18 each. I ordered the japchae box for $14, and selected a house salad. My order only took a few minutes to prepare and I was out the door. The house salad was a traditional salad you would get from a sushi or hibachi restaurant. Plain iceberg lettuce with a few carrots and yummy dressing. The bento box was delightful - each item had a compartment. The banchan includes kimchi, fish cakes, egg roll, and bean sprouts. All were good, but kimchi could have been spicier and more fermented. The japchae was traditional and perfect. I only wish soy sauce was included. Instead they included yum yum sauce, which I didn't use since I didn't order any meat. Finally, the fried dumplings were very good and you could taste the meat - very crispy even though I took my order to go. All in all, a yummy and fast Korean meal that was filling. Food is on the more expensive side, so won't be ordering frequently. If the portions were larger I could justify the price. Definitely would recommend a box if you're in the downtown area.

Yummy food for a reasonable price! This local eatery has delicious bento boxes, sushi, and lots of internal seating. We were able to quickly order, find a seat, and eat at 6:30pm on Friday. The food was fresh, yummy, and the perfect portion.

Really enjoyed this new bento place! Chicken katsu was delicious and crispy. Got the miso soup which was very flavorful. The toilet was leaking in the women's bathroom, hopefully they fix that soon, but all in all it's a great new spot to check out!

We were looking for a spot to eat while I was in Louisville for a conference and my sister decided on Jin Doshirak, which was very close to the conference center. The restaurant is more of an order then sit down place, where you pick up your food when they have it ready but otherwise don't have a ton of service. The restaurant has a lot of nice quotes and decorations from Charlie and friends. I ordered the spicy pork box with an egg drop soup which came out to around $17 after tax before tip. It was a good variety of food, and I especially enjoyed the banchan and spicy pork. The egg drop soup is more of a miso soup with egg added, which I had no issues with but it isn't what I was expecting and very different from a traditional egg drop soup. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and thought the portion size and flavor were a good value for what I paid. I look forward to coming back if I'm ever in Louisville again!

I've been going to Samurai for date nights and friend dinners for years and every roll is huge and fresh, and I always have great service. Good sushi is hard to find in land locked Kentucky! Samurai must have great sources for their fish because the freshness is very apparent, every time I go. Favorite rolls: Mark's Roll, Happy Sunday, Texas Roll, Barbie's Favorite, Sakura Roll, and Midnight Roll but truthfully, you cannot go wrong. We heard the story of our favorite roll! The Mark's roll was named after a very kind soul that was a friend of the restaurant that sadly passed away. He loved spicy food and was the light of the room, so the fried jalalpeno and flaming plate make the perfect homage to him. The love and care Samurai has for their customers and the community is unmatched! Come cute with 15 people, or in your pajamas with your bestie. The atmosphere is very welcoming; casual but romantic still. Either way come ready to EAT!

The second was completely off--overripe, heavy blackberry notes, clearly oxidized and not the same quality wine. This is what happens when a bottle has been open too long. When I pointed it out, instead of addressing it professionally, the server repeatedly insisted it was from the same bottle and argued with me. That's not just poor service--that's dismissive and borderline insulting. I wasn't trying to get out of paying. I explicitly said I would pay for the glass and not drink it--which I did. I left the full glass on the table. At that point, the appropriate response would have been to move on. Instead, the argument continued. For context, I spent 22 years in the wine and spirits industry. I know the difference--but frankly, anyone could have smelled and tasted how off that wine was. I still paid and tipped 20%, but the issue isn't the charge--it's the way this was handled. Arguing with a customer instead of listening is unacceptable. Do better.

I went with my partner and ordered the Miso Soup, Rainbow Roll (replaced shrimp with yellow tail) and a Vegetable Fried Rice. Listen. The fried rice is absolutely where it's at. You wanna talk savory? This is it. Flavor? Yes, it's all here. Quantity? Surely something that tastes so comforting and warm would be scarce. NOPE! They LOAD your plate with fried rice, it's like a compact mountain of deliciousness whose savory goodness pairs extremely well with the mellow, soothing flavor of their Miso Soup. Their Rainbow Roll was also very good, especially with the portion size. It has a fresh taste where it lets you know it was made the moment before it got to your table. I replaced the shrimp only because my partner is allergic to crawfish and I wanted her to try some, but I've had it with shrimp before and recommend you have it with it. I focused a lot on the comfortable vibes here because I think that's what Osaka excels at. Eating here is like going to visit your mom after a while and she makes you your favorite dish just how you remember it. My sushi was fresh, my teriyaki was flavorful and most importantly the tofu was battered and deep fried perfectly! A close second to Heart & Soy and trust me as a vegetarian for 5 years, pescatarian for 3, that is GOOD COMPANY to be in when it comes to the best tofu! The portion was huge for $16.99! I feel like it came out pretty quick and I wasn't a fan of the yum yum sauce..it was a bit sweet and didn't taste like the normal sauce I am use to back home. The space was overall nice and it seems as though it could get pretty loud when you're already a large group sitting with a large group of people. I also noticed a lot of gnats flying, this is something that is common at restaurants obviously. But it became a bit annoying when one landed on my lip as I was talking and started flying over my food. I lost my appetite after that and decided to box my food up. To me, either your sushi rolls are top-notch or they're not. And by this rubric, Oishii is unrivaled in Louisville, KY.
