We happened to stop by Madison for lunch at Grumpy's (also highly recommend). Searched and found this place based on good reviews. And can confirm, this place is solid. Hearty, hard-working mechanics, and friendly office lady. Price is decent. Honest people and no BS. Nice big lot and a comfy waiting room. Got it done fast for us as the timing was right, and the mechanics were considerate of us having ways to go for our trip. Saving this place for our trip next year!

With a long week of travel ahead I decided to get it checked out by professionals and bite the bullet. I called ahead and the young lady said to stop by so they could diagnose it. Upon arrival John walked out to the truck with his scanner and walked me through his diagnosis and put me at ease with his honesty and professional opinion. He took his time and recommended some steps I could take on my own that would likely correct the issue. He wouldn't accept payment. I highly recommend this place and will be a repeat customer!

We still had several hundred miles left ahead of us on a Sunday evening. Lewis Murray Tire appeared closed, but we decided to give them a quick call (the signs said 24/7 service) and were connected to the nicest woman who promised to get someone down to the shop within the hour. She personally arrived with David who got our tire patched and helped us get on our way safely. Probably a little pricy for the late night service but worth every penny to avoid getting the donut spare put on by AAA! We could not be more grateful for their kindness and help in what could have been a huge headache. Highly recommend!

After evaluation I was charged $178 for this inspection and the estimate of repairs . I was told they had topped off the axle gear oil after I specifically asked them to do so. They said my truck needed $2800+ in repairs. This included replacing every part they would touch doing the axle bearing and seal repair Plus all bearings and other associated parts in the rear axle and seal repair. This included rear brake pads and rotors, both U-Joints and all differential bearings as well as the axle bearings. I took the truck to a well established local shop, which does not do axle/rear differential work, which I had trusted for years, to replace the U-joints, which was one of the items Johnnys said needed replacement. They were fine and needed no service. I asked about the axle gear oil. They checked it. IT TOOK 2 PINTS TO FILL IT. Johnnys not only furnished a greatly inflated estimate and charged me for such, they lied about topping off the gear oil. Then charged me to lie to me. NEVER USE THESE people. THEY are TOTAL CROOKS !!
