She understood our situation and offered to take my credit card info and leave 3 scoops of rainbow chubs sitting outside in a large oxygen bag for when we were passing through. A little unorthodox perhaps, but worked beautifully for us and goes to show how helpful they are. The bait was awesome and we didn't lose any minnows (until the little perch started picking us off). I went into Norman's One Stop and asked if they sold smoked fish? I mentioned that I could smell it, and she said, No they don't sell smoked fish, someone must be making it for themselves. As I was browsing around the store, she went to her house/apartment and brought me a plate of smoked fish. I had never been in that store or to the town of Orr, MN for that matter before today. You walk in and it's huge. Apparently it was redone a couple years ago. It was 3 floors with shoes on the bottom. They had plenty of nice brands and flannels as well as plenty of merch from the surrounding areas including some tshirts and sweatshirts with voyageurs national park logos on them. They also had a small kids section, candy section, and baking area, as well as a gourmet popcorn vending. Downstairs they had a large sale section but everything else so full price. Definitely a nice place to stop at if in town.

Ronnings has very helpful and kind staff that seem like they enjoy there job and look to please the customer. I got a couple Rainy Lake tee-shirts and then I realized, almost every shirt and hoodie they have says rainy lake on it. Although they have much more than that, I think they should have more verity such as adding sport teams. The layout of the building is easy to navigate. The best thing about this place is there stock, I don't know how big there "closet" is but they always have what you're looking for. I'd also like to add that when we were trying to decide which fridge magnet to get, we got three because they were all good. This place even supports the international falls high school team with apparel and "stuff". The only competition this place has is border bobs which I will review next.

Our Moose Track Adventures canoe trip guide had a pair on that I admired, and since I needed a pair for an upcoming trip to the Peruvian Amazon, that was good enough for me. At the end of the Amazon trip, we were asked whether we wished to donate the boots. I liked the fit, comfort, and versatility of my LaCrosse boots so much that I declined in favor of my next Earthwatch adventure.

I would have been thrilled if you could get all 3 bottles for a discount, but that wasn't happening. They have a ton of t shirts for sale here. We picked up one for Ely, MN for about $25. They have a men's side and a women's side. The women's side had a ton of apparel. I found a cute shirt and shorts on sale. The fitting room is right there by the stairwell. I love a good sale. These times were not for Ely, they were just hiking/camping brands of clothing, but that's ok. A lot of the women's stuff was fairly plain. The back of the store has restrooms, art, and camping/fishing supplies. The front of the store has weapons and shoes. In fact, the gal who makes the moccasins was right there in the store, putting them together in real time! It was so cool to see how she was manipulating the leather. We did not take the stairs up to the second level; it appeared to be more of a bookstore up there. Parking is on the street.
