Our service today for a party of eight was really crummy. Slow to take order, made three mistakes across eight orders, and generally surly. Food was okay. Scrambled eggs were more like slabs of omelette, but biscuits were very well prepared. Alcoholic drinks were pretty heavily syruped, but coffee and refills were good. Brandon was very attentive and friendly! We sat on the patio this morning and it was pleasant. Started off with a delicious caramel iced coffee and a perfectly sweet tea. I ordered the Chorizo Breakfast Tacos with hash brown and the husband ordered the Cowboy Skillet with a cinnamon roll for his side. There was a baby roach that crawled on top of our table so we placed a syrup cup over top of it. Told our waitress who proceeded to get her manager. The manager came over asked about the hair but not the roach then when we mentioned the roach she completely dismissed the faced that there was a roach crawling on our table! Service was still slow and there was not a ton of people. They still have military discount with valid ID card. I ordered eggs cheese , bacon, sausage, and strawberry pancakes. And cheese and I look so great for a big greasy but doable. Pancakes the batter was a little bit, but the strawberries are pretty fresh not frozen and you get really big portions. My friend ordered a biscuit and gravy omelette and did not know what she was getting into lol. There is hashbrowns in the omelette and hashbrowns on the side. The omelette was really big and she said seasoning. The waitress doesn't come around too often to refill your coffee and we had to look around and wait for the check. My other friend ordered basic eggs and bacon, but didn't finish it she said it was OK. We spent a lot of time hanging out and laughingafter water aerobics. The place was clean, but I never think this place is ever going to be fast pace if you're not a IHOP it's a place to come in the coffees. Love coming here the people are always happy and cheerful. I like sitting near the kitchen so I can see my food being made as I'm watching the cooks always have a smile on their face. My expectations were met. I wanted pancakes and I did not want it to take forever or cost a lot. This place is the same set up as IHOP. I was pleasantly surprised at the whole wheat pancakes available! And they were great. Appreciated the margarine provided instead of butter, and the syrup was nice and warm. And I loved the turkey sausage patties. My husband enjoyed his omelet just fine, but it looked rather ordinary. He wasn't super excited about it. Jimmy's Egg is quite the lively breakfast hangout for family and friends to gather early in the morning, and I do mean early too as it is in high demand, especially on the weekends. The brightly colored walls with food being showcased are pretty nice and wants me to try some of these meals too. The customer service was quite slow due to the high demand. I always love Jimmy's Egg but on Monday, September 18th, the waitresses who are usually great were horrible talking on their phones, talking and laughing with each other at one point the chef even came around from cooking and joined in with his phone too! My party was needing service so finally I got up and tapped our waitress on the shoulder, and she seemed annoyed that I needed a refill! Other customers were just as annoyed! I was really shocked cuz I go here at least once a week! The food is usually great but this day the hash browns were more like mashed potatoes and our order was not complete!
