At one time this was a really great place that's over now you call they forget what your order is they promise They will fix whatever the situation is, but they don't. It is a waste of time and effort, energy and money, and they went from being really really great and have a great service to mediocre at best. your best bet is to Find a different place to go to for somebody who does order out a lot I would never ever go there again they have taught me a lesson. read more

Well, Jimmy's Best at 1347 87th 60619 has the wrong name it should be the worse of Chicago, the worse I have never in all of my years placed an order for food and been informed that I made an error in that the driver should have had a number to call ato complete delivering the food which they never came as per security in the building any who after calling this business I was informed by the manager very nasty very rude Schel that it was my error that I missed the driver. upon arrival I received Box in which I thought I had an Italian beef sandwich to open to just find a wet roll with some type of fat or oil was 3 slices of steakumm if you know that is no lettuce no tomato no peppers no cheese that I paid additional for the drinks ask for or not the arrival therefore they get a point 25 of a star .4 for the advertisement one the paper they send this in the mail thank you Nasty folk nasty nasty food read more

RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!!!! Friday, March 30th @ 10:40pm...number 364 on 87th. Ordered chicken. Received my order &!asked for salt & pepper. Heavy set young lady got it for me. I then asked her for Ketchup and she starts huffing & puffing, rolling her eyes & complaining that I have her walking back and forth.... I say "well, people put ketchup on french fries," as she slams ketchup in bag..... Back and forth is 3 feet behind her!? TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Other waiting customers who witnessed were shaking their heads wondering what her problem was. "Doesn't she realize she works in a fast food restaurant, and we help pay her salary????" The food is very cheap/inexpensive, but not so good that I will miss it. They just lost me as a customer who has frequently bout trays of fish & chicken for over 20 Events. I'm all for supporting Black Owned Establishments... Their gyros are horrible and they want you to pay extra for fries even with large orders... First off, 5 stars for the cost of the food, 4 stars for the taste or quality of food - it's pretty good most of the time. Regarding the workers that are in the front part of kitchen: overstaffed at times, slow-moving, & little/no customer service skills (WILL HURT BUSINESS). I called in my order, when I arrived to pay & wait, I waited past other orders until I asked about my food. The girl haphazardly dragged her feet, muttered a lame apology, & still took more time to bag it. 1 star (I'd give you 0 for that if it was an option). You (JB) started out great when you first opened. Now that you've reeled us (customers) in, you think you can treat us anyway you choose. Keep in mind, the more than few businesses (in THIS spot) before you, didn't last either. Currently, lack of customer service is the downfall here. I ordered the fish and shrimp, and the shrimp was cold and old and tasted like old grease had been used or that the order had been sitting out for a long time. After eating around three pieces of the shrimp, I did not finish it because it tasted old and dry . The next day I began to have symptoms of food poisoning. I let it run its course . I finally contacted the manager to inform them, and I was met with defensiveness basically calling me a liar since he was in denial that his workers could have messed up and served me old food. He said he couldn't relate to that because the food is made fresh as if they were beyond making mistakes. My shrimp was probably someone else's order that had not been picked up and instead of making it fresh they passed it on to me because it should have been just as hot as the fish I ordered but it wasn't. It was cold. I wasn't asking for any refund or anything free. I told him I just wanted him to be aware and he did not care. Will be definitely contacting the department of health. read more

My wife and I visit this restaurant once sometimes twice a week. Up until recently the food has been really good. We purchased what we thought would be a 40 piece dark whole chicken, however after getting home and realizing they sold us a pan of party wings instead of whole pieces my wife called the next day to express her concern, the cashier was very unprofessional and not customer friendly at all. We have encountered rude behavior from the employees at this establishment before so from now on we will take our business elsewhere. I've been here a few times now and the customer service has always been good, the service is fast, the food is excellent and somehow the prices are very reasonable. Not sure how they do it but they're doing it well. The last time I was here I left my wallet and they told me they would remake my food so I could run home and grab it. Unfortunately, the customer service was not good, for my delivery, tonight. However, it is the response of the woman, that answered the phone@7:13 p.m. (& whom identified herself as the manager) that has caused Jimmy's Best to lose another customer. Her inability to listen to my complaint, the rude yet subtle passive-aggressive tone, and failure to recognize a customer recovery opportunity, are the reasons behind this poor review. I compliment the day shift though, as they are pleasant & attentive. The only recommendation that I have, is to have people like the day shift to work the evenings. read more

JUST THE WORST! I ordered 50 piece chicken today $44.30 for the 1347 E. 87th location. The chicken was cooked in OLD grease. I call and told them I was on my way back with this HORRIBLE chicken. We I got there. The male worker and the MANAGER was rude as ever. Said HE called the OWNER and was told to give me 25 pieces of chicken NOT 50 like I ordered. The worker got mad at my displeasure and told the cook not to to even cook that. The rude manager was standing there shaking her head but not speaking about anything; nor did she try to rectify the situation. I asked for a refund and was told NO. I asked for the owners information and was denied that as well. I left with no money returned or chicken.. Stay away from this place.. I will be at the BBB tomorrow morning. read more

I have visited this establishment maybe 3 to 4 times within the last month or so because basically I enjoy the food and service for the most part has been acceptable. Today at 4:40 PM I placed an order for pick up and I was told that it would be ready in about 15 minutes just a couple items I got to Jimmy's at 5 o'clock which was 20 minutes after I placed the order At 5:10 p.m. I was waiting at the window waiting for my order so I asked to speak to the gentleman that took my money. He stated sir, please forgive me, but we had a few catering events that came i and we just got behind. I said well OK what are you going to do for me as a gesture to compensate me for the inconvenience. He says well what would you like, I said it doesn't matter". He said, How about I throw extra fries. I thought you can do whatever because basically I wanted him to understand that I wasn't there just to get a free item I was really unhappy with the service bottom line my pick up was actually at 5:32 PM 52 minutes after I placed the call which was promised to me that it would be ready in 15 minutes let me say again I never ever received a real sincere apology from them for my wait. I was very very unhappy very very unhappy perhaps I'll go back because I enjoy the food but I tell you that this type of review I don't mind sharing with anyone and everyone. read more

I just called this location 5 times in total and the woman who answered the phone disconnected with me 3 of those 5 times. On the 4 call she asked me to hold after I old her I'd been disconnected on previously. On the 5 call I asked for a manager, again disconnected. Needless to say I will not order any thing else from Jimmie's Best. I work nearby and we love your food but just as I expect Great food I also expect Great customer service. read more
