I received a full set of nails, a spa pedicure, eye brow and face waxing, ear candling, and a set of individual eye lashes. I was made to feel comfortable with an ice coffee, massage chairs, large and individual televisions with a professional yet friendly atmosphere. I will only get my self care done at Jimmy's, I like feeling like my money is well spent and I get that evert ime. Jimmy and Peter are the best and I'm glad I get to benefit from their expertise. I've been going to Jimmy for many years. I've never had a problem with him! Generally, Peter does my manicures. During my recent visit, I also had a pedicure which Jimmy, himself, did. One of my toenails was terrible and he saved me a trip to the podiatrist by putting powder over it. He took his time and explained to me how to avoid this from happening again. The owner exhibited racist behavior towards customers of color and was rude and disrespectful to both me and my daughter. I visited the establishment several times, and each time, I felt as if I were bothering them just by asking about their services. During a scheduled appointment with my young daughter, we were made to wait for 30 minutes. When I politely inquired about when we would be seen, Jimmy spoke to me in a disrespectful and aggressive manner, right in front of another customer. My daughter felt terrible and sad, which led us to leave. I have never encountered such a high level of disrespect, racism, and rudeness in a business before. I grew up in the area and heard mixed reviews about this place, so I thought I'd give them a shot for my wedding nails. Unfortunately, these nails were nothing like what I wanted. Not only were they much shorter than the photo I showed the nail tech, they were awkwardly shaped, WAYYYY too thick, and had bubbles under the polish. I literally started crying because of how awful they looked. When I asked to get them fixed, they wanted me to pay an extra $30. They knew these nails were for my wedding, and still let me leave with them looking like they were done by an amateur. There is absolutely no way I will be coming back. Large selection of polish, although several colors I sampled were old (dry and flakey when opening bottles). The "hot towels" they used were dry. I've never seen that before in a salon! My nails came out fine, and still no chips a few days later (which is what I would expect, but didn't anticipate given some of the other reviews). Finally, while their price list said $30 for the standard mani/pedi, they charged me $36. Overall, I felt rushed and constantly up-sold to and that is not how I want to feel when I go get my nails done. If I could give Jimmy's zero stars I would. I have been to Jimmy's now on 4 separate occasions giving them second, third and now fourth chances because a girlfriend of mine used to get her nails done there years ago and said he was great... I can't disagree more. Jimmy is rude, as is his "number 2" another man who asks repeatedly if you wish to add a pedicure, or wax your eyebrows or your lip... When I say no, I mean no. Stop asking!!! Also, when you say no, they immediately start talking about you in a different language, and you can pick out a word every so often that identifies them as referring to you. It's rude and unprofessional. If you question your charges, the nail techs will say random things they are charging you for, for example I was once charged $3 to remove my previous nail polish before a fill. I got a fill one time, and had gel nail polish applied. I was charged an extra $5 because it was the first time I was having gel applied. Then when I returned the following week I was charged $7 to have the gel polish removed ON TOP of the $35 for the gel color!!! Wouldn't removal of the old gel be included in that price?? My mother got a pedicure. Not only did they cut the skin under her nail while trimming her toe nails, they did not ask if she was ok, or say sorry. They did however, put her foot back in the water filled with chemicals, and continued the pedicure. Her toe ended up getting infected. I cannot complain enough about the service here, I will never return. read more

Very messy. Went to get pedicure and "Anna" seems to be very distracted. She's not focused on the job. She keeps stopping to talk to fellow employees. I ask for callous remover and it was done horribly. I had to point to different areas on my feet that still had hard skin. She's not putting very much effort into it at all. I could of did a better job myself. This shop seems to be all over the place. Other customers are having to tell the employees to do more. Never again. read more

I Have gone gone to Jimmy 's nails for almost 15 years. I love him and his staff. Yes, sometimes they are abrupt but I think it is cultural. I have never walked out of their disappointed. He has done my nails for every important event from my prom to my wedding. He treated me like a queen on my wedding day upgrading all my services without charging me. I moved to Florida 3 years ago and I cannot find a salon like Jimmy's. Every time I visit, I'm sure to stop in to get Pedicure, manicure, and my eyebrows waxed (btw, Florida cannot wax eyebrows). I am surprised with all the bad reviews. My boyfriend and I were very pleased with the service at Jimmy Nails. We each got a pedicure spa and the nail technicians took their time with each of us. The one nail technician must have spent an hour and a half on my boyfriend's pedicure spa. We've been to other places and have spent just as much on mediocre service. I'm not a local but when I visit my significant other who lives in Central Valley, this is my go to salon for mani/pedi. Always pleased with the service. Had a spa pedi today and loved it! She really focused on giving me top service. My feet and lower legs are so smooth and moisturized and pedi is beautiful. Unsure why others had a negative experience here but my visits have all been positive. Jimmy is always friendly and the staff too. Im giving them 5 stars today because I can not possibly be more satisfied. I went in for a fill and a pedicure. I only spent 43 which for me is cheap considering I also got a design on my ring fingers. The girl Michelle did exactly what I asked for (I brought in a picture) when it came to my fill and I was super relaxed after my pedicure with Kevin! He didn't try to upscale me to a spa pedicure remembering that I just got one last time I was here and he noticed that my eyebrows were done so he complimented them rather then ask me if I wanted them done! Very disappointing to see a woman's bleeding foot put BACK into the tub during a pedicure. I was completely grossed out and the owner came over to yell at the nail tech in front of everyone. The workers walk around eating, which I find kind of gross and unprofessional. Last time I went for a pedicure before my honeymoon, I came home to find that it was AWFUL. The nail polish did not cover my entire nail and it looked sloppy. I could do a better job. I also don't appreciate being asked to do my manicure during my pedicure just to hurry things along. If I'm getting my nails done, it's a treat and I don't want to be rushed. I forgot to mention that one of the male nail techs approached me while I was getting my mani done to ask me, in front of everyone, if he could wax my mustache....now, mind you, I do NOT have a mustache. I don't need anyone touching my lip with wax. After I said no, he proceeded to ask me two more times and when I said no again, he jokingly punched me in the arm and started laughing and walked away. Had 2 separate nail technicians and both weren't personable, tried having conversations but to no avail. Also didn't like them using electric file when I was going for a basic mani & pedi. Felt rushed during both treatments and then left alone for 20 mins while nails dried. Barely received any acknowledgement when I was leaving except when I was paying and giving tips.
