Friendly service. Busy Place. Tasty Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and seasoned waffle fries…read more My sandwich seemed to be more breading than chicken. I'd rather eat this type of food in house vs carry out since it doesn't keep well until I get home (things tend to get soggy). I guess I could have eaten it in the car in the parking lot and it would have been better. It's obvious it's carry out only....so I knew that going in.

My husband brings home carryout from Nashville Detroit fairly often, as he is obsessed with their…read morechicken fritters. No hate, but to me, they are glorified chicken tenders. There doesn't seem to be anything "special" about this chicken. It's the way they serve it that sets them apart-- piled on top of things, or things piled on top of the chicken. Sandwiches, fries, tacos, bowls, salads, mac & cheese... you name it, they'll put their chicken on it! Once they introduced pulled pork, Taco Tuesday specials, and unique takes on salads, the menu opened up for me! (Not everyone loves fried chicken, so they cater to us all!) I haven't tried as many items as my husband, but I do love their salads, waffle fries, and sides. He devours anything and everything they offer, especially the tacos, sandwiches, and mashed potatoes. ND's staff is extremely friendly, always accommodating, and they keep the restaurant clean and sanitary. Our orders are consistently made fast and fresh, which is why we keep coming back! Never any issues getting carryout here... There was only one time when we got home and they forgot the ranch dressing we asked for. (Only disappointed because it's SO GOOD!!) We can't wait to see what they come up with next, and will continue to pop in for carryout from time to time! (I'm hoping they introduce flatbreads soon!!!)

Thank goodness Boris left Siegels to open this treasure. Another option for folks on the lakes…read more There's five tables and a few chairs, but, I suspect this is basically a carry-out operation. We first came here after a tip from my dentist. Glorious stories of buying a lb of pastrami and it being so good and hot that they ate it all in the parking lot. Another case of oversized matzoh balls and a tasty broth. They have exceptional meats and a terrific cole slaw. Portions are usually on the large side. However, today's sandwich was a bit skimpy, by comparison. This is also dessert central. Plenty of danish, cookies and 7-layer cake. Prices are actually reasonable for the product received. 10/25

Much better than the more "popular"spots down Orchard Lake, and on Telegraph. I think I heard that they brine their own corned beef. Regardless, they have some of the best corned beef I have ever tasted! Their sandwiches are very generous, but not overwhelming like so many other places. Their pastrami is also fabulous! I am not even a fan of matzoh ball soup but I love theirs! I often make it a point to stop by even when I need to go out of my way. Fantastic!

If you're looking for the best gyro in Michigan, look no further than Graceland King Gyro in White…read moreLake. This place is a true local gem that proves you don't have to go to a fancy sit-down restaurant to get a world-class meal. The gyros here are absolutely legendary--always fresh, cooked to order, and packed with flavor. Whether you're grabbing a classic gyro or trying one of their new Mediterranean bowls, the quality of the ingredients really stands out. It's the kind of spot where you can tell they take pride in what they serve. Beyond the food, the fact that it's a "one-stop party shop" makes it even better. You can pick up an incredible meal and then browse an impressive selection of liquor, beer, and rare barrel picks all in one trip. The staff is great, the service is fast, and the value is unbeatable. If you haven't stopped by 7505 Highland Road yet, you're missing out on a local staple. Five stars all the way! He told me it was located inside a liquor store but not to let that fool me. This is one of the top selling gyro places in the area. There is a parking lot for the business. We were welcomed in and the owner, Dave, chatted with us while prepping our order. Note, this is a carry out only establishment. There were three spits of meat churning away. It smelled delicious in there. My brother recommended the King gyro. It comes with 1/2 pound of delicious gyro meat topped with shredded lettuce, red onion and diced tomato. The soft, warm pita is spread with tzatziki sauce for that tangy hit of cucumber. You can see the freshness as they were in the process of chopping more veg for toppings. Three big containers of diced tomato done and they were on to chopping red onions. The store itself has essence of Elvis everywhere in the decorations, even a life-sized replica. I know where I want to go on my next Michigan visit!

I apologized and explained it had been a couple years. Just wanted to familiarize myself with the menu. That was met with the heavy sigh of impatience. If there was a line, I'd understand. We were the only ones there. No orders coming in online, either. I understand why no one else is eating here at lunchtime. My fault for not checking the pizza before leaving the building. I know better. We got home and the Italian sausage and the hamburger were left off. They'd given us the Howie Special instead of the Howie Works that we paid for. We were hungry, the pizza was edible and it was just disappointing, not devastating, so we just ate it. Most likely won't be back. Far too cold in there. 07/25
