A Truly Wonderful Experience at McAlister's…read more From the moment I walked through the door, I knew I was in for something special. McAlister's has a way of making you feel right at home -- not just because of the friendly faces behind the counter, but because of the calm, welcoming atmosphere that greets you as soon as you step inside. The lighting is just perfect -- not too bright, not too dim -- exactly what these tired old eyes appreciate after a long day. It gives the place a warm, inviting glow that makes you want to sit down, take your time, and truly enjoy your meal. Now, let's talk about the food -- because that's where McAlister's really shines. I ordered a sub, and let me tell you, it was absolutely delicious. Every bite was full of flavor, fresh ingredients, and just the right balance of textures. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. The bread was perfectly toasted, the meats and cheeses were fresh, and the condiments complemented the sandwich beautifully without overpowering it. It's the kind of sub that reminds you what a real sandwich should taste like -- hearty, satisfying, and made with care. What really stood out to me, though, was how much McAlister's seems to understand what the customer wants. They've mastered that balance between quality food and thoughtful service. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, and they genuinely seemed happy to make sure everything was just right. You can tell this isn't just another restaurant to them -- they care about the people who walk in the door. And if you've never tried more of their menu, you're missing out. Everything I've had from McAlister's -- from their soups to their salads, sandwiches, and of course their famous sweet tea -- has been consistently delicious. It's rare to find a place where everything on the menu tastes this good, but McAlister's really delivers. All in all, it's the perfect place to unwind, enjoy a great meal, and feel taken care of. I'll definitely be back soon -- because McAlister's doesn't just serve food, they serve comfort, quality, and genuine hospitality.

So I was amped when Jersey Mike's opened near me, and I'd never tried a Jersey Mikes sub. So last week we ordered (via GrubHub) and got three subs, a Club Sub for me, a Tuna sub for the missus, and a Mike's Famous Philly cuz.....welp, i couldn't decide and opted for the gluttonous route :-). Verdict? For me, it's a comparison thingie. I'm an old Subway fan and though a "non toasted sub" would be a non-starter, but nope. The Club Sub was excellent (I'd say better meat than Subway, on a par with my other go-to, Jimmy John's). The Famous Philly? Killer. The roast beef/steak was a cut above Subway's, which admittedly has always had that weird, processed texture IMO. Where the toe got stubbed? The tuna sub was a thumbs down, the wife had to eat it like a "deconstructed sandwich" it was so wet and sloppy. Dunno. Just wet, sloppy, and fell apart. She wasn't thrilled. So if tuna's your game, be advised. I think mebbe its cuz they add dressing in addition to the mayo in the sub already? So, two out of the three items I ordered were "5 plusses" And as I always say, bottom line barometer is "would I/will I go back? You betchya, and soon.

Walking through the doors, I immediately felt wrapped in a sense of warmth and welcome. It wasn't just a restaurant; it felt like stepping into a place where care, comfort, and genuine hospitality matter. The ambiance was nothing short of perfect. Soft lighting that created a gentle glow, music that set a relaxing tone without ever overpowering the moment, and décor that made you feel like you were in a place intentionally designed to help you unwind and enjoy life for a little while. It truly felt heavenly. The seating was wonderful--comfortable, supportive, and spaced out in a way that gave us room to breathe and enjoy our time without feeling crowded. Every detail seemed thoughtfully placed. The table was set neatly, the chairs felt like they were chosen for both comfort and style, and even the layout of the restaurant contributed to an overall sense of easy, relaxed enjoyment. It's rare to find a spot where the atmosphere alone can start lifting the weight off your shoulders, but Primonti Brothers has mastered that. And then there was our server--someone who genuinely elevated the entire experience. They weren't just doing a job; you could tell they truly cared about their guests. They moved with kindness, with intention, and with such a warm spirit that it honestly made the evening feel special. They checked in at just the right moments, always attentive but never overbearing. My drinks never ran empty--not once. Before I even had to think about asking, they were already there with a refill, a smile, or a quick, thoughtful comment that made us feel seen and appreciated. It's rare these days to find service that feels this personal, this natural, and this sincere. And the food... words almost don't do it justice, but I'll try. Every bite was an experience in itself. You could taste the freshness, the quality, and the heart behind every dish. The flavors were rich and comforting, the kind that make you close your eyes for a moment just to savor what you're tasting. It was the kind of meal that doesn't just fill you--it fulfills you. It warms you from the inside out. You can tell the kitchen takes pride not only in cooking but in creating something memorable. It was truly delicious--down to the last bite. By the end of the night, I found myself not just satisfied but genuinely grateful. Primonti Brothers didn't just serve a good meal; they provided an experience that touched the senses and the heart. Everything came together--the heavenly ambiance, the wonderful seating, the heartfelt, exceptional service, and the incredibly delicious food--to create a night that lingered with me long after I walked out the door. If you're looking for a place that goes far beyond simply feeding you, a place that makes you feel welcomed, cared for, and appreciated from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, then Primonti Brothers is absolutely the spot. I can't recommend it highly enough. It's not just dining--it's a genuinely uplifting experience.
