Great sandwiches with nice employees. Usually busy at lunchtime and occasionally understaffed, so it helps to order ahead and pickup your food. read more

Jimmy John's has always been one of my favorite sandwich chains. I hadn't been to one in a long time and was looking forward to stopping in. Unfortunately, this visit completely changed my opinion. When I walked into this location, the staff already seemed a bit disorganized. As I approached the counter to order, I noticed one of the employees holding a large napkin or paper towel against the side of his head. He pulled it away, looked at it, and I could clearly see large red blotches all over it. He then placed it back against his head and began taking my order. I asked if it was blood, and he laughed and said his ear was bleeding from an issue involving his earring. I was honestly beyond disgusted. I immediately gathered my wife and left without ordering. An experienced employee thinking it okay to be openly bleeding in front of customers in a food prep area told me all I needed to know about this location. Needless to say, I turned around and walked out and will not return. This was not only unprofessional, but a serious hygiene and food safety concern. read more

Horrible meal whacked her up. It was a loaf of bread. Who serves brown lettuce on a sandwich nonetheless! If I could give zero stars, I would read more

I honestly didn't know this place was open or not because I spent three minutes looking for someone that actually works there and I found out one until somebody burst through the front door and said I want to Jimmy John's. How can I help you? I said I pick up order that I placed about 25 minutes ago for two sandwiches and they haven't even started working on it. Apparently there's only one person there who is also the driver who just leaves the restaurant unattended, which is terrible to me, considering I'm a restaurant manager, and took them back or took him as always one person about 10 minutes to make the sandwich which seems a little bit longer and considering what the sandwich was. Please do better and hire more people and have a system because this is terrible. The food was good but not spectacular. read more

Three sandwiches ordered....my sandwich was the bootlegger....added cheese, cukes, pickles, horsey sauce.....my wife brought home the sandwiches.....my bootlegger had everything BUT NO ROAST BEEF OR TURKEY! How do you miss the meat!? Wtf is wrong with these crappy stores now.....i just dont get it read more

Train wreck today. Long waits, no workers, wrong orders, instead of calling out sandwich #s maybe call out what the sandwich actually is. Freaky slow today. read more

I was hesitant to order from here based on the reviews, but everything was perfect! I placed my order ahead of time and it was ready when I arrived. Order was perfect! read more

The staffing is a bit tough at this location. Everyone was friendly enough but only 1 sandwich came out while we were waiting and I had to ask about the 2nd sandwich. And then they didn't give me the pickle I ordered so I had to ask about that. After looking at the order, they gave me a whole pickle rather than slicing it. The training could use some tweaking here guys. read more

We ordered two little John sandwiches, #1 Ham & Provolone 300 calories and #4 Turkey 240 calories, both had lettuce, tomato and Mayo and both $3 each! You can customize all the extras without additional cost (cucumber, grey poupon mustard, Jimmy's peppers, sliced pickles, oil & vinegar, onions and oregano & basil)! You definitely need all the extra ingredients! The amount of meat was very little but the flavor was tasty and the cucumber added a little crunch! read more

Good sandwiches but this location seems chronically understaffed. Thank you to the staff member that was working alone on a Saturday night. read more

Recently came here during my lunch, me and my coworker placed separate orders online and we were there within 5 minutes and everything was already made for us for pick up which was great. Place can be a bit hard to find. Store is clean, friendly staff too, quick and swift service. read more

Well... First they still deliver to my old job site but since December 2010 the orders keep arriving very late. I wonder what has happened, this has been an ongoing progress towards being an unreliable sandwich delivery. A few times the sandwich was not prepared properly, toppings missing and delivery taking over an hour plus. It's becoming a problem. You expect when placing the order and taking on additional charges for product that it should be there. Maybe it's due to a change in delivery guys, but, there doesn't seem to be any fix to this. Oh and when they deliver late they never call to update, by the time I call to check on it, it happens to be on its way. When I ask the driver for a reason it was late, I get inconsistent responses. Second and this one is minor. Service in the store is average. Sandwiches come as ordered and it's a standard experience. There's one counter guy that has been there for some time now that will stop during an order taking, to entrance or exit greet attractive women. It's kind of funny in a stupid way. Can be annoying though, I really don't care to see the eyes follow the ladies and then the giggles between the guys there. I would assume the few ladies that have worked here would find it gross behavior. read more

I ordered for delivery at 11:30 AM and called at 12:30 PM to ask for a time. Mind you, I asked in a very nice bubbly manner. The man who answered the phone was absolutely and disgustingly rude and defensive. By 1:50 PM my order was still not here so I called to cancel, i had been waiting for 2 hours. Then he immediately puts me on hold for about 5 minutes. I hang up and call back and tell him I want my order canceled. He then decides to treat me nicely and like a customer and apologize. Just placed another order at a different Jimmy Johns (the one i usually go to) don't waste your time here. your order will never come and the customer service is SHIT. read more

Extremely slow service lately. Tables always covered with business boxes so customers don't have a place to sit. Place probably needs new management at this point. read more

Just a simple Roast Beef and Cheese sandwich. Nothing else on it how hard is that to make?!? Can you read, follow simple instructions? Not like Im gonna open my wrapped super easy sandwich up to double check your work. My mistake for sure! I get home to a turkey sandwich with tomato, cucumber, pickles and mayo! It's not even the right meat!!! They got absolutely nothing on this sandwich correct besides it was on bread!!! So disappointed. Guess we can't expect some high school kid to understand attention to detail. Maybe they need some one to do quality control so customers are not wasting their time and money. Called them and they offered my a credit but honestly I doubt I'll ever see that because why the hell would I want to go back!!! Done with fast food places they just don't give a crap. read more

JJ's is JJ's - freaky fast subs - but something was a bit off about the operational efficiency and professionalism of the staff. I know customers don't seek out JJ's particularly for top-notch service, but this location in particular was just not on point. My sandwich, however, was good and consistent as usual: #1 Pepe + cucumber & hot peppers. read more

I order here at least once a week and in order to get my food in a timely manner I have to order 2 hours before my lunch. It takes the delivery driver at least on hour to get here from the store that is 2 miles from my work. Worst Jimmy Johns ever!!! read more

On Saturday 08- 27-2022 at 4:30 pm I purchased a number 10 sandwich The Hunter to go. When we got to our destination I went to eat my sandwich the bread was so stale it tasted like sawdust. What can I say, it's Jimmy John's. If you're into cold, soggy, bland sandwiches that occasionally contain frozen lettuce and/or cheese (which melt and makes the bread even soggier) then you'll gladly eat at this place, but if you want a real sandwich look elsewhere. Service was okay, I got in and out within about 7 minutes. The place gets packed around lunch hour since it's near corporate companies and one of a handful of places nearby. I was hungry and saw Chipotle had at least triple the business this place had (the line was starting to form outside the door) and decided to suck it up and try terrible Jimmy John's once again. Since this is the burbs the price is very reasonable compared to the city. Immediately after biting into my tuna club I was met with disappointment as always with Jimmy John's. Stay away from JJ's until they get their act together. I can't understand why people flock to mediocrity. read more

I work 50 yards from this JJs location. I called in an order ($45) for my co-workers. As it turns out, my co-workers never got the order. It is a retail store & the delivery was sent to the wrong department. Thanks JJ's. I called them on this & their response was ; well, we won't let that happen again when you place you next order. Really tried to please me as a customer. NOT! Rest assured Vernon Hills JJs, there will not be a next time. read more

Typical JJ's. Did the order ahead of time and that worked out ok but the crew working must have had a big Sat night. Seemed a little off, didn't cut the sandwiches in half (not a big deal by any means but just couldn't sync. Started to pack up the 3 subs in a box, changed their minds, went to the bag, bag to the box, back to the bag. Whatever, don't care just don't F up my order-which surprisingly they didn't. Again, food was good but the process was entertaining. Like a couple frat guys. read more

This is the worst location to order delivery from. I try to give them the benefit of the doubt but it's a 7 minute drive to deliver and it takes just about 45 minutes to get my food, EVERY TIME. What's the point of having their stupid "freaky fast" delivery policy if that never goes into effect. Honestly fuck this location read more

Whew!! 50 minutes from ordering to delivery! Don't know if they just overlooked my order or the delivery guy was taking a joyride. The sandwich was normal so no complaints there but practically 1 hour for a Jimmy John's sandwich is not freaky fast. I'm glad the delivery guy at least looked at my instructions and got the correct building. I think that's what is getting most of the stars here..... read more

Would definitely recommend this Jimmy Johns! The owner just worked with me to help deliver 50 bagged lunches to the local hospital Covid 19 staff! He was so easy to work with and is so kind. This place has the worse service. They are the slowest delivery service and they get the orders wrong. Ordered twice from this place once in a Sunday afternoon and then on a Wednesday night. My experience with the Vernon Hills J.J. was absolutely unreal. I ordered food, maybe 30 minutes the driver called me for directions from his cellphone. I gave him directions, he found the place and gave me my food. An hour later I get a text message from the same number the driver called from saying 'I spit in your food asshole', I called him and he told me to fuck off. This was infuriating enough until I called the manager complaining, he told me to come in. When I went in he refused to give me a refund on a spit sandwich despite me showing him the saved text messages. He was incredibly rude and unprofessional and had some bullshit story that somebody else texted and answered that phone. The manager didn't even apologize until I brought it up to him. Fuck this place, I'm complaining to IDPH and OSHA. Do NOT eat here, eat at another one with decent management. read more

Food was wonderful as usual. But some guy kept saying "oh" the whole time. Kinda weird.

A little slower than other jimmy johns for delivery times, but their sandwiches are fantastic and their drivers are always courteous! :)

It's a Jimmy John's. I think by now everyone has tried Jimmy John's. They have great subs. So my review is more about service. They are very fast and I have not had a mess up yet. Everyone is friendly and I have never had an issue. For that reason, I don't really understand all the negative reviews. My guess is that only the people with bad experiences are reviewing and not those with good ones (like me). read more
