I neglected to check the expiration date and when I went to open it a couple of days later at home, it said Consume by Nov. 22nd. That means it was a month expired when I bought it. I am now being SUPER careful about watching the "eat by" or "Best by" dates. Oh - I did smell it just to make certain and it had soured.
