I like Jimmy. I like the buns I like the sandwich choices, I always get the Pepe, sometimes adding hot peppers. I add a cookie most times, especially if I'm ordering for me and Miss Yvonne. Jimmy's is quick, so quick it feels like I just ordered. Eating their sandwiches conjures up childhood memories of getting "grinders" when I was young. I know it's the bread. I adore JJ's for a nice, quick sandwich. I love ordering ahead and then picking up on my way to work, or on my way home. I have a pretty straightforward order, so I never really worry about a mess-up or anything like that. First, most of the employees here are super friendly. They're always pleasant and will return my greeting, although having them greet me first has never happened, which is odd for a public service establishment. My bigger problem comes from the temperament of ordering here. Sometimes, you'll order, and you'll never get any type of return message that your order is done. One day I had waited so long that when I finally just gave up and went in to see what was up, they had my order sitting there ready for pick up, all of my ice had melted in my cup and there was a huge ring of moisture around my drink, letting me know it had been ready for quite awhile. Another time, I ordered, heard nothing back (per usual) went in after 10 minutes and had three people yell "We're Closed!" as soon as I opened the door. So I asked what about my order and they said they canceled it and it would be refunded. Still have no proof of that refund (a few weeks later). It was just a sandwich, it wasn't that big of a deal, but to have this consistent problem of trying to order and never knowing what the outcome will be gets to be quite irksome. Is it good? Sure, as long as you like JJs, but the frustrations of ordering ahead are plentiful, so you'd be best just going in and asking for food made in front of you. read more

I ordered a sandwich, parked in the lot next to the location for the exact time it took me to go inside the store and pick my sandwich up that was ordered on the app, I received a $140 boot ticket. That is RIDICULOUS to have to pay more for parking than my sandwich cost. JJ's offers contactless pick-up service which is a must for high-risk persons like myself. It is one of the few places I feel comfortable picking up a bite to eat. You can call it or or even better, order on the app. Head over there and your order will be waiting on a stand by the door. You barely step inside for more than a second. They also offer delivery, however I don't close enough for delivery. While there's us inside seating, I haven't seen anyone inside. This particular location is inside an old New Orleans house, so charming! The area is more of a college hub since it close to both Tulane & Loyola. I am guessing that is why they are not open on Sundays. Regardless, if like me, you are young & relatively healthy but high risk due autoimmune/lung/other condition this is a viable option. I have eaten at a dozen different locations, and fast, courteous and cheerful service is the rule, and this location (#1807) is no exception. I think their prices are competitive, and their made-to-order sandwiches are great. What's not to love? Fresh rolls and bread, meats and veggies. Bottomless beverages. Kettle-style chips, excellent cookies and really fabulous "half-sour" pickles. Tremendous! I love the Ultimate Porker, #17, or the Country Club, #11, on 7-grain bread. Normally I'm a big fan of this place, but tonight I called them at 11:35 ( 25 min before closing) with no answer. Normally I wouldn't call a place that early before closing but jimmy delivers to my house within 5 minutes of me calling, plenty of time before they close. I called for 20 min no answer, very upset. I love jimmy johns but damn, that was upsetting. Nothing like getting home drunk and getting a good sandwich, too bad. read more

I've waited a long time to write this review because my previous encounters with this place have left me very dissatisfied. Now, I'm not usually high maintenance, and I know this is basically a fast food place, but still... if I pay $7.75 for a sandwich, I would like to get what I ordered. I had been going to Jimmy Johns for over a year with no problem until a few months ago. My online and call in delivery sandwiches started arriving with some missing components. For instance, I'd ask for no lettuce on my beach club and get no lettuce, no tomato and no avocado spread. It was basically a sandwich with meat and cheese... for $7.75 plus the tip for delivery. I was patient at first and said nothing. Anyone can have an off month, right? The fourth time it happened, I called in and the manager handled it very well. I accepted a credit for a future sandwich. The only problem was when I called in to use the credit, Jimmy John's has no record of it. I had to talk to the manager again who thankfully remembered me. When my sandwich was delivered, the delivery guy thrust the sandwich at me angrily and turned around without saying a word. Awkward. I took a month long break from Jimmy John's, and recently tried ordering again, and low and behold my sandwich arrived missing several components. I called in again and once again got directed to a manager who told me that my sandwich was not incorrectly made because he made it himself. It obviously got switched with a different order... Sure man, whatever you say... I accepted a remake of the sandwich because of the fiasco with the credit. When my remake arrived, the delivery guy insisted I return the previous sandwich. I had to dig in my kitchen garbage to retrieve it. Yuck. I didn't feel like eating after that. I had no problem with the return, but I wish they'd told me that when I called so I wouldn't have thrown it away. The delivery guy also kept banging on my front door as I fished it out the garbage too. Again, awkward. I'll give it a while before I go back. It's Jimmy John's so you've been to 1 you've been to all of them right? This one, at least when I typically go is surprising slow most of the time which is great for me. No lines to wait in. I used the Jimmy John's website to place an order, which I planned to pick up on my way to a meeting. After paying, and while already en route to pick up my sandwich, Jimmy John's called to inform me that they had lost power and would be cancelling my order. Strange, because everything I ordered was cold and, although they could have easily made my sandwich, they refused. When I asked for some accommodation due to the situation (i.e., that they deliver just a tad outside their delivery area), I was told that they "do not change [their] rules for anybody." Also, because their power was out, they were unable to refund my money. A call to corporate was met with profuse apologies and a guarantee that someone from the ownership team would call me back to make things right. Nope, all they did was offer more excuses, but did, in fact, refund my money. Still, no sammich. Nothing. I'm still a fan of Jimmy John's, just not this location. Well, guys, it's official. I think this may have been the worst Jimmy John's experience I've had. It's a casual Sunday afternoon, and the people I was with and I did an online group order for delivery. Freaky fast? More like freaky slow, freaky rude, and freaky inconsiderate. It took more than an hour to receive our meal, but what happened afterward was even more disappointing. After realizing how much time had passed since we ordered, my friend (who placed the order) called the restaurant to see if the order may have been lost (things happen!) Before my friend could finish her sentence of "Hey, I was just calling about my order," the man on the receiving end flatly stated, "It's on its way." My friend politely thanked him and hung up the phone. Kind of an unnecessary tone, don't you think? Just wait. It gets worst. The delivery guy shows up not even 5 minutes later. We were ecstatic, as our stomachs began to grumble. My friend comes back, and we realize they completely got her sandwich wrong and forgot the chips she paid for. Usually, she (and like most people, including myself) would just suck it up and not do anything. However, this was something we waited so long for, the least we could expect is that the order is correct, right? Well, she called. From the receiving end, the same man who answered put the phone down, and in the background, my friend could hear a female voice saying "Well, it's not my fault the wrong sandwich was taken." Once he finally got back on the phone with my friend, he asked her, "So what do you want? Another sandwich?" Like OF COURSE she does, that is why she called. So she said yes. His response? "Well, it's going to be a while, we have a lot of orders." Customer Service is clearly not Jimmy John's strength, but at least be freaky fast when you've got commercials about it. Ordered a sandwich to be delivered. They have one of the fastest delivery services out of anyone. I had a BLT on wheat. One major drawback to the Jimmy John's sandwich is that they are all cold. That works for some things, but a BLT really benefits from hot, crispy bacon. So what you have here is cold, chewy bacon on soggy bread. I did add hot sport peppers, which turned out to be a nice touch. read more

I think it's unlikely with all of the delicious surrounding establishments on Maple that I would ever sit down to eat at Jimmy Johns. Delivery, however, I order weekly. They usually take about 10 minutes to deliver, it's astounding, and the delivery people are really nice (I've had some nasty delivery people from other restaurants). On top of this, the entire process is very easy and entirely online. For people who are gluten free or carb conscious, their unwiches are a great option and replace the Jimmy Johns bread with a lettuce wrap. Their bread is pretty delicious though. I have ordered from this Jimmy John's quiet a few times and sometimes they miss something with my order. I usually shrug it off but today I decided to call because it was the completely wrong sandwich. The manager said she would send me a completely new order with the correct sandwich. The delivery man dropped off my food and I checked it before he left, and it was wrong again! I decided not to give a tip for the second delivery and he started mumbling under his breath about me and then said he came out twice to bring me a sandwich and did I know he wasn't his fault? I understood it was his fault but I don't want to tip for 2 wrong orders. He was livid, so much so that I told him just to leave. Tipping isn't a given, I believe it supposed to reflex good service. The prices are extremely reasonable, and the service is exceptional. Usually takes less than a minute to get your sandwich from the time you order. Although the quality of the food is good, as opposed to great, it's in line with their prices and is countless steps above Subway/Quiznos. read more

Took my daughter to get a sandwich, and the place smelled so bad, I had to walk out. I really did not want her to eat the turkey sandwich, that I had just paid for, afraid that maybe the food was spoiled. The sandwich was less than mediocre, as she later told me. I will NEVER step foot in there again. I was sickened by the horrible odor. I am not sure if the bathroom backed up or what. Others tell me it smells terrible all the time. Standard sandwiches, fantastic service. I have been in and ordered delivery and had really great experiences both times. Both times the sandwiches were good - nothing special but tasty. Jimmy John's may not always be my #1 option or delivery food, but it is always consistent and quick. Their delivery normally takes between 20-30 minutes, but can sometimes come even sooner. In addition, the food is very consistent and enjoyable. Never have I ordered jimmy johns and then regretted it afterwards. read more
