What happened to this place?! I've been to this location twice in the past year and both times were shockingly bad. Several months ago I placed a pick up order for lunch on a weekday. The place was SLAMMED and there were 3 employees working which seemed very understaffed for the level of busy. I showed up maybe a minute or two before the promised time and waited no less than 30 minutes for my order. I should have checked to make sure my order was right, but I didn't. I got back to work to find that they forgot my potato salad. I came back to this location today. It wasn't busy (except maybe online orders which I totally understand). I was really excited to try the Mediterranean wrap. The cashier was super nice. I placed my order (wrap no tomato,) and my boyfriend also placed his order. The cashier read the order back and didn't say "no tomatoes" for mine so I reminded him. We waited for close to 10 minutes but that's fine. When I got my "wrap" home, it was so poorly constructed that everything just kept falling out. Oh, and what's that there? Tomatoes. I definitely won't be coming back here. Soooo where do I begin with this? There's SO much address. Let's start with the single positive thing I have to say about this garbage heap. The food is good imo. That's the one single compliment I can choke out. Now let's begin with all the negatives! !!! DISCLAIMER !!! I understand the pandemic has affected places in different ways and I do not know the situation of how this store is ran or lack there of, but I will give you a piece of the turd sandwich that is this Jimmy John's location. 1. Customer service. It's awful. Absolutely the worst. The three times I've went inside, all three times it was awful. Not only do you physically feel unwanted but the staff, it is apparent that you are viewed as a burden. No exaggeration. Me ordering my food, all three times, was met with extreme pushback. As if you asked them the world. One of the three times, will not mention names, the guy that manned the register, wouldn't even let me adjust what I wanted on the sandwich. Before I could finish was just met with a cold monotone "is that all?" followed by a disinterested blank stare off into la land. And the speed. THE SPEED. Freaky slow is the motto here. One of the times I did manage to get a delivery, almost two hours... no joke. 1 hour and 45 minutes later I actually full on forgot I had even ordered... 2. Accuracy. This isn't a huge deal seeing how the child labor that Jimmy John's heavily relies on doesn't care much about what you want rather than what time they can clock out, but come on! I've had so many incorrect orders than I actually stopped customizing my order all together and picked it off myself. I have zero problems with hiring high school students trying their hardest to earn a wage, but when you start having your job applications handed out at the local middle school and have zero experienced people to help, you these kids up for failure. 3. No delivery?? This location hasn't had or offered delivery for over a year now. We'll just go into the store right? Out of the blue, has happened a couple times now, the store is just closed for the day. Lack of staff? Lack of product? Wouldn't know because absolutely zero explanation is given. But as of writing this, I haven't been able to get a delivery for a good year and a half. So why even offer it? So the food is wrong, the hours are wonky, and the service sucks. That's all right? NOPE. 4. Lack of product. One of the three times I've been in there, they were completely out of bread and acted annoyed that I asked when they would get more. Instead, the girl that I talked to said that they are just going to use wheat sandwich bread instead and have no bread to make. Ok. Not completely the end of the world. One of the ten thousand times I've tried to call for a delivery, they weren't delivering because they were going to close early "due to lack of people and product". The Covid response is very understandable if you're talking a couple of issues, but we're looking at a mountain. This location is so bad that myself and others have completely given up going there. I'll go to another location if I want this. Three years after Covid began, it has been only down hill. While small businesses have adapted with the pandemic and some even have even grown, this CHAIN location can't even manage how to deliver, order product, keep production, make product, or sell product. Ordered lunch online. Took 75 minutes for our order to be ready for pickup because they had run out of French bread within three hours of opening. Then we get home with our sandwiches and discover the bread was uderbaked - super chewy and without the exterior crunch one expects from Jimmy John's. Minus stars if I could. I'm in no hurry to leave a negative review for any food service business after what they have been through with th pandemic. Furthermore, I fully understand that help is hard to find right now and good help is much harder to find. On Saturday, 08/06/22 a little after 6 pm I encountered the most extremely rude obnoxious and unprofessional "customer service" person I have ever witnessed by far. If curbside is offered for online orders it probably should be honored or it might be polite to contact the customer if for some reason it can't be honored that day. In short, after waiting outside for 15 minutes after alerting the store I called and was very abruptly told "I'm the only one here. I can't bring the order out. You will have to come in and get it." I told him I can't really do that right now as I'm disabled. The response was a hang-up, seconds later the young man came storming out, threw my order on the passenger seat, stormed back in without even a hello, sorry for the wait, a thank you, absolutely nothing except attitude. One could easily argue that the single most important thing in a place like this is order accuracy. They failed miserably in that regard. Sub #1 - did not remove mayo, did not add cucumbers, did not add onions. Sub #2 - duplicate of erroneous sub #1, not something that was ordered at all. Sub #3 - what sub #2 was supposed to be but wrongly labeled. And they never updated the online order to say it was ready. Ordered my food on the app like I usually do and asked to have it delivered to my work. I always pay 25% in tips when I do this because I put on the instruction section to bring inside the building and deliver to the desk. When I got notified that my food was delivered I went to the desk to claim it. No food was there. I checked my phone and it said the driver LEFT it outside on the ground by an Emergency Exit Door that is LOCKED AT ALL TIMES unless of a fire. It made me mad because they not only left my food outside, but it was in the slush and out in the open where ANYONE walking by could of grabbed it or tampered with it. At this point I was pissed. Jimmy John's is probably my favorite place for quick subs in Madison/Middleton. They are unbelievably quick, and their sandwiches are good as well. The prices are decent, too. Of course you're not going to be given a gourmet sandwich, but from what you expect, the product is great. read more

I'll just start by saying I love Jimmy Johns. I always get the Pepe with onions and oregano... Today I didn't want the lettuce or onions because I have onions and leaf lettuce at home I wanted to use, so I ordered the Slim 1. The cashier informed me I wasn't allowed to have oregano on my sub because it was a slim and didn't include vegetables. I find this strange.. Jimmy John's just opened in Middleton. I can't say that Middleton was lacking in sub places, but they're a welcome addition regardless. As you would expect from a chain, this location does not differ at all from the other locations. They have a reasonably-sized menu and you don't get many options in terms of customizing your sandwich. So, if you're lucky enough to arrive when there are no other customers, your sandwich will be ready in about a minute. Their subs are tasty but not out-of-this-world. They never have any kind of special, limited-time subs, and the menu is very unadventurous (no "Buffalo Chicken Bacon Chipotle Club Supreme!!!!"), so if you went there every day you would be bored after two weeks. If you're hungry, I recommend the Italian Night Club (probably the best chain Italian sub anywhere) or the Hunter's Club (not great-quality roast beef, but a lot of it). If you're not very hungry (or, as my Mom says, you have a bird-like appetite), go for the JJBLT. JJ's uses only Hellman's mayo, which, as far as I'm concerned, is the only mayo which is fit for human ingestion. They also only use provolone cheese, which is actually saltier and less cheeselike than Subway's provolone. So those two cancel each other out. Normally I would give only three stars, but as this location seems friendlier and faster than other Jimmy Johnses, I awarded them an extra star. I am normally do not appropriate stars in such a generous manner, but the situation warrants it. Now I have to deal with the fact that when I went to Middleton High School, the only restaurants within walking distance were China Wok and Taco Johns (RIP in peace), while the spoiled brats these days get a JJ's and an entire organic grocery store. The only reason they get two stars is that my in-store experiences have been pleasant. My experience with their delivery service is atrocious. Example 1: Apparently the driver couldn't find the address for my work, despite the big building being like 2 miles straight down the road. Over an hour after I ordered, I called JJ's to ask about my sandwich. They claimed the driver called to clarify and the number they called wasn't a valid phone #. Really? The phone I was talking to them from wasn't a valid phone? News to me. They made a fuss and brought the food out to me, the only thing they did for me was remake my drink. Example 2: Tried ordering again, listed my phone number and asked them to call when they arrived so I could come out to pick up. Realized my cell was dead, so I called the shop to give them my office phone. Delivery guy shows up after about 50 min, never called, and told the receptionist that he didn't know who the food was for. Right on the receipt here I see my name, my phone number, and my note about calling. Seriously? Don't bother ordering. You will probably be ok if you go to the store yourself. read more

I work at a business in Greenway Station, in Middleton. We give this jimmy johns a lot of business, and i mean ALOT. we called today for a delivery and the person who answered the phone was extremely rude. Then we had someone call later in the evening for a delivery and they told us we were out of area, and then when I told him that we get delivery's here all the time, and he laughed like it was such a problem. so they wouldn't deliver to us. I hung up because i felt very offended. As we are a customer based business we are always very respectful when situation become tense, but this was very poor customer service And for the guy who answered the phones tonight, this is your job, you get paid to make sandwiches and tend to your customers, if its such a problem, maybe work somewhere else.
