The sandwich portions are sometimes frozen for a long time.. rather than using freshly glazed and broken down meat. It's fresh if you buy a full ham or turkey - but the sandwich meat is the oldest. Unfortunately. The meat is sometimes older, but frozen when it arrives to the store , then is thawed and prepared in a reasonable time. The best fresh hams and turkeys are broken down into pound bags of slices, and the unsold slices then go on sandwiches later. I suggest buying the meat by the pound and make your own sandwich. The meat comes frozen, thaws in the cooler, gets blasted with the torch and gets hot/room temp, sits again in the cooler for a few days... then gets broken down and sits for a lil longer in LB packages, then finally it becomes sandwich worthy?? After it's been glazed over a week ago. brought out of the cooler to bag up into portions and sits back in there for a while, and then finally gets put into the sandwich bar or gets frozen and put on sandwiches way later. The sandwich meat needs to be fixed - and I don't think it's a good representation of what the meat actually tastes like. For catering orders especially... Both were covered in mayonnaise, despite asking for no mayo, and mayo being totally gross on both sandwiches, especially the cheesesteak which was not just gross, it was inedible, and I threw it away. The sandwiches were skimpy and did not taste good. The fountain soda was by far the best part of this meal, which would have been 26$ without the coupon!
