Definitely the kind of place that's easy to stop into when you're looking for something simple and unfussy. We ordered the Italian beef with hot giardiniera and a garden salad. The standout for me was actually the bread--it was fresh, soft, and really elevated the sandwich. The beef itself was decent, but it was drier than I expected and didn't have as much flavor as I was hoping for. Thankfully, the hot giardiniera added some much-needed moisture and spice, which helped bring the sandwich together. The garden salad was very basic--just lettuce, cucumbers, and tomatoes--but the Italian dressing was excellent and packed with flavor. Sometimes a great dressing is all a simple salad needs. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and would come back, but next time I'd probably skip the Italian beef and try one of their deli sandwiches instead. The reason that I order it dry is because usually there's enough moisture in there to soak through the Turano roll without it being dipped but this was not so it was actually bone dry. Sure, I've lived here for 45 years so you can call me a purist but if I had known it would have been that dry I definitely would have had it dipped.
