Placed an order online at 1230 pm and went out for delivery at 1pm. It arrived at 2pm. Sandwich was hard.

Ordered club sandwich online and customized: no tomato, no mayo, add bacon. Order was ready when I arrived at drive through. When I got home, the sandwich was not customized as ordered. Smothered in mayo and even added onion. Plenty of tomato but no bacon. Inedible for me. Wasted money. First and last trip to a Jimmy John's for me. read more

This place is awful. I ordered a giant 13.99 on the menu. They gave me two regular subs and charged 17.99 rather than the giant. I was not asked if this was ok and they were aggressive when I asked about it. I was also shorted four extra cents due to "penny shortage" My order total was $28.01 and I received 0.95 cents back for change. Not only are they ripping people off with the giant sub but not rounding correctly either. I will not be returning. read more

Fresh French bread with deli sliced thin meats served cold make for some nice cold cuts. Jimmy Johns as a company is really consistent across locations and this one holds true to that. My only complaint is that they don't do extra mayonnaise. Even when asked for extra mayo, I always end up with what I would consider a regular amount or even light mayo. This leads us to have to request mayo packets every single time. The kettle chips are often on the crispier side of kettle chips, but still compliment the sandwiches. Love that this location has a drive-thru. read more

This location really cares about bread quality! Of all the locations I have ever been to, this one seems to take a serious interest in ensuring that the bread is fresh! Add to it, very friendly and prompt service! Great place to stop off from a road trip. We ordered from the road, and the team here was responsive and quick. I usually like Jimmy Johns, not today because they have let me down. I ordered at 12:08 and here we are, 40 minutes later and NOTHING. I called and the lady was trying to find my order. She said it left the shop a minute ago. My sandwich will have taken over 50 minutes to travel the 4 blocks to get to my office. Customer service is worse than marginal. read more

This location is night and day from the Capital Street location. My wife and I went in and the staff was very nice and friendly. So they have that going for them. We ordered a 16 inch sub. They normally don't come cut unless we ask for it to be, but this one came cut in 3 pieces. One piece was about 3 inches, the other was about 6 or 7 inches. That was just strange right off the bat. It made it a bit difficult to share, but it did allow me to eat the larger quantity, so I had that going for me. Or so I thought. Once I bit into the sandwich I noticed that it tasted sour and the bread was hard. The other end of the bread was nearly rock hard. We threw most of the sandwich out and it took the rest of the evening to get the horrible taste out of my mouth from the little that I consumed. I assume this is an anomaly and most visitors don't get sandwiches like these. I hope not. Scope sells will go through the roof if this was the norm. I did contact Jimmy Johns and was I told I would be contacted by the manager. It's been a week and there's been no contact. I've been in contact with the head office, but still no contact from the store or anyone from the store, which is why I'm leaving this review. You expect better for your money. read more

This is a new restaurant in the Charleston W. Va. area. The food was fresh, looked amazing and tasted great. Will definitely be back. They can make the sandwiches as an Unwich which is no bread and wrapped in Iceberg lettuce leaves. This store is a joke. In stead of being "freaky fast" this store is "freakishly rude". The managment staff, or lack thereof, couldn't handle a busy day if their job's depended on it. The GM won't address complaints, she will pretend to not be there, or have a staff member try to take care of the situation. I have personally witnessed this happen; I eat at this location about 3 days a week so I have become familiar with who is who. The owner(s) doesn't know how unprofessional the management team really is. If the owner(s) does know, that says alot about them. I have been eating at this store for about 5 months now. I eat here often because it is convenient and close to where I work and I really like their sandwiches. In fact, I ate there for lunch today and you should have heard the way the Assistant store manager was talking to the employees!! She is always yelling and screaming at them. I think she would yell and scream at them, even if they were doing their job's correctly! I feel bad for the employees at this location. I have also heard the Assistant store manager just being very rude to customer's while placing their orders. Today was the last day this store will be getting any of my business. I was so excited to find out there was a brand new JJ location when I came back to the area from Virginia in April. Well, my excitement was all for naught, because of the three times I have been here, three times I have been disappointed. I honestly don't know what gives because I have been to probably 10 or more other JJ's locations and have always found my order to be ready quickly, fresh tasting, and most importantly, consistently correct. Not here. Nothing about this location is "freaky fast" and all 3 times, my order has had something wrong. It feels like the folks working don't care. Maybe it's because this is a more laid back place and they don't have to keep up the fast pace and consistency of the JJ's I've grown accustomed to back in VA. But it feels like they don't care. It has been different employees over a nearly 6 month time span, so I'm lead to believe there is something lacking with this location in particular. And after driving from South Charleston all the way to Kanawha City, nervous about being burned yet again but wanting to give it another go because Jimmy's was one of my favorite places to go back home, only to be let down once again, I don't think I will return. I will just have to deal with parking in downtown Charleston or get my JJ's fix when I visit friends in Richmond. Bummer. read more
