They told me the doctor was booking really far out. I told them I wanted to definitely have him see the doctor eventually, but in the meantime, I was offered to see the nurse practitioner. I expressed to her since I wanted him to get in quickly or as quick as possible, which was within a couple weeks that I'd be willing to see the nurse practitioner quote so long as I can still see the doctor eventually" she assured me that that would be fine. So we decided on April 23 for the nurse practitioner and then she made me appointment in June to follow up with the doctor. I do not live close. I live 40 minutes away and I had to pull my child out of school, and then we drove all the way out there showed up 15 minutes early for our appointment and she proceeds to tell me that we do not have an appointment. I explained to her that I absolutely did have an appointment and she basically made it seem like since I couldn't remember the name of the person who scheduled the appointment or had some sort of text message appointment reminder that I had basically just made it up in my mind or something. She told me that I only had an appointment in June and I told her and explained to her what had happened and how I had the initial appointment with the nurse practitioner and I was told that I had a follow up appointment with the doctor in June, she told me "we cannot make two appointments at one time" which is interesting because whoever takes appointments when you call over the phone clearly doesn't know that rule and did not let me know that or else I would not have gone out of my way to call out of work and pull my child out of school to go to my nonexistent appointment because of their incompetence. Needless to say, I will never be going back there again and I do not recommend this place at all because they're incompetent, they're rude, they don't even apologize when they make mistakes or try to make it right. We were standing there she could've tried to squeeze us in, but she didn't even try. She just stood there smugly in my face saying sorry your problem not mine.

But, most of all for being the kind, caring, and understanding Physician you were to my Father. From the beginning, you had a knack for making Dad feel comfortable with you. He trusted you whole heartedly, he loved your humor and you made things easier for him to understand. You not only succeeded in getting Dad totally on your side, but you made our entire family feel at ease with the treatments you recommended for our Father. We believe you did everything possible to make his cancer more tolerable and strived for a successful cure, even though he came so late in the game to you. We were so happy to have you as his Oncologist and we would recommend you to anyone that comes up against this horrible disease. Dr. Fathy, Dad's primary care Physician from HealthCare Partners referred Dad to you and you immediately started a treatment plan for him in September of 2015. Even thought our Father was 82 years of age when diagnosed, the small man that he was, he was so very big and strong in our eyes and we know you saw that too. He never complained of pain during any of his treatments and there were many, so many treatments in fact that you called him the six-million-dollar man and he loved that!! Dad had an amazing will to live and take care of our Mother; his wife of 60 years who is plagued with Alzheimer's. You never gave up the fight with him or for us. Dad did 31 rounds of radiation at the end of the year in 2015, Dr. Harsolia was amazing as well and was just as caring. Dad had 3 treatments of chemo at your office and your staff was equally amazing. Dr. Huang his Pulmonologist did the biopsy in September of 2015 and was incredible at moving things along quickly after diagnosing Dad's illness. In July of 2016 Dad had an Endobronchial Resection with a stent placed in his bronchial tube that was performed by Dr. Davoudi at UC Irvine and they were equally as caring with Dad. There were several follow up bronchoscopy's and Dr. Davoudi and his team was also amazing with their follow up care. Dr. Blitzer you always knew when Dad needed blood transfusions or needed to be hydrated again. Although Dad never complained, towards the end, even though he lost his appetite and probably at that time his will, but we didn't give up. Hospice came into play a couple of times, but we all agreed it wasn't the right time and you backed us up. After the last Pet Scan, in September of 2016 and the follow up CT scans, you were so excited to see that the cancer had not spread. It was contained in 1 large tumor and even though he was a bit weak, thin and tired, you gave him the will to push on one last time with the Cyberknife treatment. He tried very hard to believe in the treatment and he tried so hard to eat to make him stronger, but his body didn't want to agree with his mind. We know, without you; your encouragement, laughter, knowledge; and the team at HealthCare Partners that you worked so closely with, our Father Erich Wirth would not have lived as long as he did. I have been with Long Beach Memorial Hospital for 5 years now and since this company has take over…read morethe pulmonary department, I can not reach anyone in the billing office and have stayed on hold for hours. I have emailed and left voicemails with no one gettting back. They are refusing to bill my secondary insurnace which they can do because they are contracted with bot of my insurance. Unfortunately, my daughter will be seeing another company because even though the doctors know that their billing department is not helping anyone and not doing anything when they mess up, they don't care. My daughters medical records are not a mess because they are billing for things that never happened and making my primary insurance pay out and then spend months fighting it. WORSE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!!! DONT SEE ANY OF THE DOCTORS AT LONG BEACH MEMORIAL HOSPITAL VILLAGE IN THE PULMARY DEPARTMENT!!!!
