I went to Luisa e Flavia Salon at recommendation of my hotel. Tina did my hair - I wish I could take her back home with me! I also loved the whole vibe of the salon. Lots of local women bustling about and talking. Getting nails and hair done at the same time and chatting away. Tina was right on time for my appointment. I was a few minutes early too. She was quick - hair done in 55 minutes. She's very sweet. I highly recommend Tina!!! But I also saw other women getting blow outs and they looked fab.

I luckily stumbled across this darling little salon while roaming around Positano. I was in…read moredesperate need of nice blow-out and walked up the stone stairs to see if they could take me. The staff was warm and friendly and said that they could accommodate this walk-in. Yes, success! Admittedly, I was a bit nervous about the hair-styling not only because my command of the Italian language is not awesome but also because one never knows who to trust with the hair! But, I figured that since this was only a wash and blow-dry, it wouldn't cause any irreversible problem so I stayed and I am so glad I did! During my brief wait for a stylist, I perused the salons offering of beauty products which included some divine and exclusive perfumes...as a self-proclaimed perfume connoisseur, this can only mean trouble for me! But the good kind of trouble! The products they used on my hair, while I have no idea what they are, smelled delicious. And, the woman who styled my hair was very nice and somewhat maternal. It sounds like a strange way to describe a person but I just simply felt like I was in good hands with her. She spoke about as much English as I speak Italian so we said very little to one another but we somehow seemed to understand each other. I love when that happens! I understand, from the woman who checked me in, that the salon is jointly owned by her and her mother (Luisa e Flavia) and it was very obvious that she likes what she does for a living. The salon was steadily bustling with all manner of women and everyone seemed genuinely happy. My hair looked and felt amazing and I was very pleased with the service at this salon. I checked-out with great hair along with a couple of those exquisite perfumes and, whenever I use them, I fondly reminisce of my great experience at Luisa e Flavia and of the wonderful town of Positano.

I got a great manicure and pedicure and left so happy. Grazie milei Fabiana e Valentina!

Getting to the day of, my wedding day started out quite stressful because of the weather (thunderstorm) and my wedding was on the very top of the mountain in Villa Cimbrone Ravello, IT. I received a phone call from them in the morning to make sure I was still having my wedding that day or if I needed to reschedule, they were so nice about it. The two AMAZING ladies Silvana and Susanna drove all the way up in the winding roads, walked a good distance to get to me (the rain had stopped by the time they arrived). I was still nervous but Silvana and Susanna made me feel super comfortable and at ease, they took my mind off of it and went to work. I cannot say enough about these girls, they were great, fast and made me feel really beautiful on my special day. My day started off crappy but they helped me get in the mood and thankfully my day became incredible after that. THANK YOU SO MUCH Silvana and Susanna, I absolutely hope to see you ladies in California soon.

A new barber should be an apprentice until they are ready to cut hair. At that point i just needed to leave and asked how much i owed them, and the owner said that it was on the house.
