The plumber replaced a gas line. He then sat in his truck for well over an hour claiming he had to wait for the gas company to come out to ensure there wasn't a leak. Dominion Gas indicated they wouldn't be able to turn the gas on until the following morning! It took the fellow no more than 1.5 hours to install an above ground level gas line. Yet, I was billed for 4 hours of work at $125.00 per hour!! Even if I agreed to pay for the 1 hour plus he sat in his truck the cost should still have been significantly less! I verified with the Dominian Gas Company that there was no need to remain until they came out since the gas was off and they and only they could turn the gas back on the following morning! This isn't about the money! Not at all! We are talking about the disgust myself and folks like me have to endure when hiring people to fix things only to receive a bill that is inflated and then lied to when it is questioned. I'm hoping this only happened to me and others weren't subjected to this type of nonsense. I'm so angry about this that I've done my homework, and should appear in small claims court to argue my case. As I said, the actual parts and labor associated with this gas line repair appear to be legitimate and this $564.00 ($500.00 at $125.00 per hour for a seriously inflated service charge of 4 hours will be paid without delay. I don't have the time nor the energy to argue what I believe is absolute thievery of a consumer. Some will think this is a bit "petty". Maybe so; however, it's simply a matter of principle. Be certain you're paying for a service received that is fair, honest and legitimate.

The day they were supposed to reinstall 2 toilets and vanities, and remove one toilet, they installed one vanity and left at 1pm. I called that company at 4 and they didn't know what happened. The next day, I called Watershed at 8 am anticipating leaving a message. Mike, the owner, answered. I told him my dilemma and he said he'd be there at 8:30 am (mind you, I had had Watershed out to look a toilet that wasn't flushing right. When they came out it was fine. I spoke with Isaac about replacing the 3 toilets, hoses and valves eventually and he said "Just give us a call" and did not charge me for the investigation call!!! When I spoke to Mike, he even knew what unit and complex I was in!!! I told Mike that since they were responsive and ready to do the work, let's go ahead and do everything. Once he got the lay of the land, he told his employees what needed to be done. Isaac and his helper (I can't remember his name) got the primary vanity installed the right way and installed the new toilet. Took out the toilet so that the flooring could be finished and looked at the hall bath. They came back bright and early the next day and got everything else done!! I'm so grateful to them for making a really stressful time, less stressful. I highly recommend them!!!
