Jillys arcade review- fun thing to do in ocnj when the weather won't cooperate. Buy the Groupon if possible and splurge for the 2 hour unlimited play. Skee-ball, basketball, motorcycle riding. Been going here since I was a child, I recognize the one employee every summer, she's been there since 1999. Great mix of pinball, classic and new video games, skee ball, they even have a pool table. I usually stick to pinball and the classic video games, Galaga and Pac-Man, but my most recent visit I spent most of my time playing Mario Kart with a party of 4. It really is fun playing against your friends. This is the best arcade on the boardwalk IMO, best location too right near the surf mall, primavera pizza, manco and manco pizza, and a Kohr's brothers. I've been coming here for years. They have a nice selection of new and old games. There is 10 cent ski ball, but otherwise it's pricey. But, you are in Ocean City, so you expect that. I got a time card today ($20 for an hour) and I was disappointed. It doesnt work on any game that dispenses a prize and they throttle you to play every 30 seconds. That was disappointing as we couldn't play games together as a family. I'll still bring the kids there next summer, but ill avoid the time card read more

Been playing pinball here from the tune it was called Coaches Casino. This place is jam packed with games; skewball, video, hoops, air hockey, dome hockey and my fav, pinball. Still three balls for a quarter and a great mix of old school and current day machines. All are kept in excellent working condition! This is a great place for families, a party and young and old pin ballers. Plenty of hand sanitizer stations. read more

Another year and yet another few dollars spent at Jilly's. I guess the theme here would be "Same As It Ever Was". I'm not sure what new games some of the other reviewers are talking about because by in large nothing changes here from year to year be it the prices or the games. The pinball is still a quarter, the Skeeball is still a dime and the temperature inside is still something hellish enough to even make satan ask for a cold drink. Some things here are a bit overpriced like the air hockey or some of the beaten down sports games in the back but overall if you stick to pinball or Skeeball you can make a few bucks last a very, very long time. The same rules still apply: * The change machine(s) don't always work. * The attendant(s) is not always visible/happy to help. * Some of the pinball machines have had issues with not accepting quarters properly or being slanted/slightly off center for years while nothing gets fixed. * 280 does not always equal a Skeeball free game but since it's only a dime, who cares? Overall this arcade is still probably the best of the best in OC but considering some of the competition I guess that's like winning the Clubfoot edition of Dancing With the Stars when you're the only one without Clubfoot. See you next June Jilly's and until then, may the Skeeball lanes still sometimes cheat you a game or two and may the temperature inside the building still stay at something close to the Sun's core and may the South Park pinball machine live forever! read more

This arcade is so much fun and the prices seem good too. You can still play a game of skeeball for 10 cents, or if you play 11 games, it's only $1. For only a few bucks, you could stay occupied for quite awhile. Also, if you reach a certain score, you win a free game of skeeball. 10 cent Skeeball is the best value entertainment by far on the Ocean City boardwalk! Machines always work and place is kept very clean. Easy to make change and with a pocket full of dimes you are good to go for a fun Skeeball session. In addition there are a large variety of arcade games to play. read more

I went to this arcade countless times as a kid. I was visiting Ocean City with my kids this year and brought them to Jilly's today due to my fond memories. Unfortunately, the first and only 3 games we played all malfunctioned. First, we dropped ~$10 into Halo before the machine crashed on the final mission. It happens, not a big deal. Then we tried the mechanical ice hockey game. Took my money, but didn't actually start. I'm thinking, "Ok, two bad games - just a coincidence, right?" Then we last went to air hockey. The machine wasn't adding one side's goals to the score. I went up to the change booth to let them know - I didn't even ask or want a refund. I just wanted to make sure other people didn't have the same problem. The woman in the booth started arguing with me that the game wasn't broken, without even leaving the booth. So so disappointed. You know the old saying: one time, an accident. Two times, a coincidence. Three times, a pattern. There's not many alternatives for arcade games in OC anymore, but I can't see myself going back here to get ripped off more with a bit of attitude on top of it. EDIT: So I had some money left on the game card, and my daughter really wanted to return, so we did once more. I kid you not, the very first game we played during this additional visit (Skeeball) also ate our money. [smh] read more

Great fun and a great find on the boardwalk! This place has all types of games, but i best know them for all the "play until you win" crane games and SKEEBALL for 10 CENTS!! On this trip, i got sucked into playing the pinball machines and literally stood there playing for hours! Also played football, basketball, etc! They have air hockey, billiards, and so much more. This arcade is a good place for the kids to play on the boardwalk if you can't go to the beach (i.e. too hot, raining, too cold). It's pretty small, but they pack a lot of games inside and a good variety of games for different ages. read more

HOLY CRAP! THIS IS THE BEST ARCADE ON THE PLANET! It's open year round, with free off season parking. It's always clean and nice, with a good staff. ALL PINBALL MACHINES ARE A QUARTER! Even the brand new ones. All the classic games are a quarter. Most of the HUGE theater style shooting games are 50 cents or a buck. I can easily spend an entire day and an entire paycheck here. They also have a very large selection of 'Play Til You Win' crane games at decent prices, which is a rarity for this boardwalk. Lots of good skeeball options, pool tables, air hockey, basketball, old timey style shootouts, TWO DDR MACHINES, and some great weird imports, like the Japanese flight simulator. That being said, I deducted a star because the skee ball machine got stuck (understandable) and I asked an employee to do her job and help me with it (it took A MINUTE). Jilly's is amazing. They have skee ball for .10 cents a game and if you get over a certain point amount you get a free game. They have pinball games galor AND they have DDR Supernova 2. ($1 per game) The pad sensitivity was decent but the music was really really loud. I went during the off season though so they are probably compensating for how loud it usually is. We played Jurassic Park Lost World and have a blast. Only .50 cents per game and well worth it. The place is well kept up and open during the off season! Go and check it out. You won't be let down. 10 cent skee ball was the best thing that happened to me at the Shore! You can get little deals too: you get 11 games for $1 and you can win a free game when you score 280 on a paid game. Trying to score 280 is a fun challenge. There were plenty of associates walking around, we were quickly able to find someone to get change for larger bills. I did notice it was a bit warm in the building but I was getting really competitive in skee ball so I don't know if I can really blame the establishment. Also, the skee balls may have been slightly different weights on different machines, and once in awhile the scoring wouldn't count a ball... but I honestly don't care because it's 10 cents and I had so much fun here!! Other games we dabbled in were pinball (some were 25 cents, other 50 cents), and some supercar racing game $1 - you can also win free games... my date ended up playing 3-4 games on one paid game! Of the 3 arcades I hit this week, Jilly's is the best, which is not saying much. I had to hunt someone down to get change - nobody around during the day?... decent selection of games - pinball, shooters, racing, skee-ball, and cranes. Kids had fun. I do like that skee-ball is only 10 cents a game, and an easy chance to score 280 and win a "free" game. However, it was too hot in there, no prizes for skill games (even a little 2 cent toy for the kids), and some games did not work well (Pac Man tourney). I had to go quickly, so I didn't even attempt to find someone to complain to. read more

Don't know why we were so disappointed. Games are musky and grimy. Skee ball is the highlight, but only because you get 11 games for a buck. Sad state of affairs if skee ball is the centerpiece. This is the go to arcade joint on the boardwalk. My gf and I make this our home base and ending point every time we come to ocean city. Most of the arcades are in good shape and most of the workers here are friendly as well. Not to mention 10c ski ball. Addictive! read more

New games? Classic games? Prizes? Skee Ball for 10 cents?! Yes please!!

Put simply, if pinball's your game, then Jilly's is your mecca. Close to twenty machines, both new and classic, all costing 25 cents per game. They just received Stern's newest, Aerosmith, and I spent an hour learning it top to bottom. You can do that when pinball's still just a quarter. The place is open (in season) 24 hours, so get there late and see if you can win a "midnight multiball" on Ghostbusters! Classic pins include the Williams trio of Medieval Madness, Monster Bash and Theater of Magic. And don't forget Junkyard, which they recently appear to have refurbished so it plays FAST. There's another half dozen good machines at the Hollywood arcade a few blocks up the boardwalk, so think of Ocean City as a destination location for pinball. Thankfully, Ocean City still has old school arcades, a contrast with Wildwood where all the arcades cater to kids with ticket games and NO PINBALL. There are only two pinball machines on the entire Wildwood boardwalk - what a drag. I suspect that OC (a dry and rather conservative town) classifies and bans ticket games as gambling, thereby allowing classic arcades to survive and thrive. Jillys is THE old school arcade experience on the South Jersey shore and the most fun old guys like me can have for five bucks. read more

Ten. Cent. Skee. Ball. It's real. You can play for at least 10-15 minutes on a dollar. Amazing. Parking is free off season. Not crowded on a Friday night around 9 (off season). Didn't feel like creepy adults in a kid's arcade. Best dollar I've ever spent. Ever. read more

I expected to blow a serious chunk of change to take my friend to the arcade for her birthday, but instead we were able to play for almost two hours on ten bucks! The skee-ball and the pinball machines are both dirt cheap, and the rest we blew on the slightly pricier claw machines, air hockey and shooters. What a great time! read more

I have been going to Jilly's Arcade for about nineteen years now. The place always has the newest games and great pinball machines. Only thing I would recommend is to lower the cost on the new machines from $1.00 to .50. A dollar is a lot just to play a game for one minute. Overall, I pretty much live at this place. read more

We recently took a trip to OC during an off peak time. It was great to hit the boards and have something to do...everything else was closed in the evening. The 10¢ skee ball was a hit with our while family. We also stopped by to rent bikes for an early morning ride on the boardwalk. They had something for everyone...bikes for the kids, surrys for the teens and a bike for me. read more

Spent most of our vacation in Ocean City New Jersey in the month of October at Jilly's arcade with the kids because everything else was absolutely closed down. The kids had a great time.
