They have delicious sandwiches (including breakfast sandwiches), soups, and other freshly made goods. They also have grocery items which are placed perfectly on their shelves. They have my favorite Guayki energy drink and great local beers too. There were several employees working, they all seemed engaged and wanting to help customers and what appeared to be their boss. The store is very clean. Food sells out so get there early. There may have been one table to sit at but suggest a grab and go to take back to your AirBnB. When I was a kid, my dad and I used to come here for beer, as we Windsor, Vermonters did not want to pay the 30 cents deposit. My dad once in a while, let me get a treat, may it be a can of soda, or a candy bar. We used to drive here in an old Chevy Luv Truck. I remember it being quite "rough" and dusty sort of place. Most folks come here to get beer or cigarettes. It's a local sort of place. Please come.

Prices are competitive with larger stores in Claremont or Lebanon and certainly better than convenience stores in the area. The setting, at a crossroads in Cornish Flat is beautiful any time of year but especially breathtaking in the fall. On a given weekend morning one might encounter farmers from town, kids getting ready for the day's chores or a couple visiting from the Boston area. Saturdays in the summer and fall there is also a farmer's market around the corner by the town's Civil War monument. Worth a stop anytime!

As you would expect of a general store, they offer a little bit of everything. Clothing, food, liquor, etc. Their efforts to support other local small businesses shows their dedication to the community. The staff are really friendly as well. I loved everything about Singleton's....came back three days in a row just to order their lunch special and pick up some odds and ends. Even ran my dogs around in their snowy picnic area outside.
