Came in for an oil change and while the service I originally received was ok and they were very kind- I am extremely unhappy because I was charged two times. Originally, I had asked for windshield wipers but before they took my debit card and placed them on my car I changed my mind. The man took my card and charged for the amount with the wipers and then subsequently changed the amount without the wipers. Mind you, he came back and apologized claiming that my funds would be returned in 3 days. I waited 3 days and called because as a mom of 4, having an extra $160 missing from my account is unreal. I call and speak to the manager who states the charge was voided-and to just wait longer. I wait until the following week to call corporate because now my account is overdrawn due to this amount. They get a hold of the location I went to and suddenly they are refunding my money to my card?!?!? I feel incredibly frustrated as I am a repeat customer and nothing was offered to help ease the financial issue, they put me through. Just got a simple we don't know what happened when I was clearly told a refund couldnt be issued because it was simply voided. which turned out to just be a lie. Because of this ordeal I will never return to this location, let alone another Jiffy Lube. If I could put one star I would. P.S I still have not received my funds in my account. If your car breaks down in front of this shop I suggest you Flintstone kick it to the next one. It's very unfortunate my having to say this because I've been a loyal customer with them for years. I recently took my car in for a simple oil change like I normally do, and here comes the BS. I'm told I need a total flush in the system and I need coolant so because I trust this store I go ahead and do it. The very next day my car starts stalling while I'm driving so I take it in to find out the issue and I'm told it's my alternator. Now I don't need to say any names because it's all over the previous and I'm sure following complaints that's recently flooded their reviews. So I'm told by this person and their mechanic that once I get the alternator the issue will be resolved. So again because of the service I've gotten in the past I trust them and purchase the alternator. Everything seems fine at first but not even two hours from leaving the lot my car starts stalling again but more aggressively this time. And I'm starting to find tire caps all over my floor I take my car back in, mind you this is within a span of only 1 week, I've already spent over 1500 dollars for what should've been a simple oil change and what do I find out??? Now my break stop bushing is gone. And this is a piece "they say" takes 14 days to order. It's been a month since they put in the first order and I was still being told it's a 14day process. I had to bring my car back every 3 days so they could temporarily fix the issue while I wait for my part and it's then when I find out that the tire caps that I was seeing earlier are what was being used for my temporary fix to my breaks. wow Well lesson learned I will never deal with this company again and I'm sure all I'll get from them is a simple statement saying they take these issues seriously and they apologize for my inconvenience . Whatever Why Jiffy Lube continues to sit back while their so called valued customers are being taking advantage of and why our bad experiences are so lightly tossed to the side to make room for the next is beyond me. I don't get these negative reviews. I came here for a basic oil change and was nervous I was going to be bombarded and pushed for more upgrades but that wasn't really the case. The gentleman let me know my brake fluid is still fine just a little dirty and my ac filter was also getting dirty. But they never pressured me into anything which I really really appreciate. I was in and out no problem with my basic oil change coming to $68. I've come to accept the fact that oil changes are just way more expensive than 10 years ago so you just have to deal with it. Why 3 stars? Because it's convenient but pricey. --- --- --- When I was 19 I worked at a Wal-mart that offered oil changes and tire rotations. I don't remember the exact price for a basic oil change, but it was definitely under $20. Fast forward 15 years later, and I can't seem to find an oil change for less than $50. I know inflation hasn't increased *that* much. So what's the deal? I think this Jiffy Lube is the last oil change place that I've visited that's within a few square miles of my house. I came here because I was just down the street getting my car washed and figured I'd give them a shot. I've dealt with pushier people at these places, but I do wish they would tone down the salesy-ness when it comes to trying to get you to buy a bunch of extra stuff. No I don't want the more expensive oil, no I don't need a new air filter, no I don't need a system flush. It causes anxiety before I even arrive knowing that that stuff is coming - I really wish we could put an end to that stuff, but such is the automotive industry, I guess. One other note - sitting in the waiting room, I kept feeling like ants were crawling on me. It turned out that there was a bunch of them near the coffee maker, and they were indeed getting on me. When I told the guy at the counter, he just kind of shrugged it off. Will I come back here? Maybe. It's close to my house and all of these places have mostly the same downfalls. I'm driving your standard diesel pick up truck. It's a ram with a Cummings engine. I told him to get a price and some places have outrageous prices and I told him do you guys in line with places like take five. When the one guy got done laughing so loud and so long they finally then told me they did not even have oil for a diesel. But I did notice they must have other problems because they had zero cars in their bays and zero cars waiting.... when I went a little bit out of my way from where I was at and got to take five they were very courteous they handed me a bottle of water. And they also gave me a 25% veterans discount. I will never go to a Jiffy Lube again in my life read more

The staff here was super friendly! I went in for an oil change first thing in the morning and they took me in right away and we're done in a timely manner. They did a full diagnostic of my car and gave a free tire fill. I had a coupon so the price was reasonable, but without it I definitely would have opted for a local mechanic. Absolutely amazing service. I desperately needed an oil change. So I decided to give this location a shot. I had never done a place like this (I used to work at a dealership so would just have my repairs done there) and wasn't sure how it all worked. Well I just pulled up to the garage door and asked the guy if this was correct. He assured me it was and said just give them a couple mins to finish the vehicle in front of me. So it my turn and they guide me to pull up for the oul change. Well due to all the coronavirus stuff going on, you only have the opinion to wait in your vehicle. They have me turn off my car so they oul change can be done. I'm thinking "Great this is gonna be super hot" but that was not the case, they have these hoses that they put in your window for the a/c to blow in your car. I was super excited about that, especially in this Florida heat lately. Took about an hour for the oil change and the engine filter replacement. I will be back again for my next oil service. read more

Stopped in for an oil change. Was my first and likely last time at a Jiffy Lube. They took me right away which was good but the price for a Semi-Synthetic change is $25.99 and they charge $90, then there is another $10 added to dispose of the oil. I asked if they took competitors coupons and was told no. When I took the survey someone contacted me and said they look at competitors but obviously they don't. That is a $55 difference? What is the justification. There is no way I would ever go back. Then I was told I have a transmission leak but on the receipt is show transmission level good and no mention of this. I bought a groupon online for $20 to change oil like I normally do every time for the past two years. Today they decided that this Groupon is worth nothing. I was charged 94$ for an oil change that should have been for free. And add an extra 20$ for Groupon. If it says anything it's a total scheme. I understand they always pressure u into thinking that ur car is about to die if u don't upgrade or fall into what they suggest to get money out of u. I totally get it's a sales technique. But when they ask u if u want an upgrade to a different oil and u say no nicely. Then u end up seeing it on ur bill. That's unethical and illegal and pure bull. read more

They had no customers when I went. You might think that would get me exceptional service, but they appear to be far more accustom to no customers, so they just hung around talking at the one guy working on my car. Left me with the sense that they were distracting him from his job, and in turn left me wondering what kind of job he was doing. They failed to reset the oil indicator in the car. They left the car dirtier than it was. I thought at one time they vacuumed your car, but I guess what would require them to actually work, and not stand around gabbing with each other. I was left seriously disappointed, and wondering whether I was in better shape or worse shape than when I took the car there. read more

My receipt says that they vacuumed the floors and it's clear the floors weren't even touched. Makes me wonder what else they didn't do. This business could really benefit from having a clean cut salaried and degreed manager on duty as the face of the location. I normally go to Lexus for my oil, filter and lube changes. However, I was in a hurry this time, so I decided tto stop by this neighborhood Jiffy Lube. Prior to going I read the reviews on this particular shop on "yelp"... some were bad reviews some were good, so I went with a little caution. Here's my experience: I was greeted by Jose who showed me into the lounge area to wait for about 20 minutes until my car was done. In the lounge area he politely pointed out the TV the magazines and the coffee machine... and ultimately asked me if I would like him to make me a cup of coffee (that was unexpected). The waiting room overlooks the mechanic area with an all glass viewing area (impressive and refreshing). During the oil change one of the mechanics came in to ask me if I wanted to change an internal air filter that he felt was needed and/or place an upgraded oil cleaner in the oil chamber prior to the oil change. These upgrade attempts were respectable and somewhat expected in repair shops. I declined both parts and they politely accepted my decision without any type of reiterating or strong arm attempts whatsoever. I was happy to see their respectable selling attempts and their humbled acceptance of my decline. I also had some conversation with three other patrons in the waiting room all of whom were women. One of them told me she goes to this Jiffy Lube all the time... for almost any part or problem she needs for her auto, and said they have always treated her royally for years. The other two women were first timers like myself who both said they too were provided with (respectable) upgrades. However, they each declined without any further sales attempts from their mechanics. I certainly understood their earnest and acceptable upgrade business practices. Once my oil change was finished, Angel (the manager on duty) thanked me for entrusting them and bringing my car to his shop (nice touch). He then said I deserve the rolled out "red carpet" treatment. I laughed at the nice/cute remark... but to my surprise one of his mechanics actually rolled out two red carpets between the shop and my car door for me to walk on and get into my car (WOW!) All and all I was thrilled with the entire experience and they deservedly won a new customer for my future automobile needs. It got me thinking... Who needs Lexus service when you have great people like the Jiffy Lube folks providing a solid service for a better price. read more

My son recently got his oil changed here (Nov. 22, 2019). I told him he could use my credit card (I am his mom). Since his 2008 Honda Accord has around 140,000 miles on it, he ok'd the high mileage oil change (with cabin air filter). I could not believe this Jiffy Lube charged $145 for the oil change and air filter. I was told it included installation. When I called around the Tampa area for price quotes for the same thing, it averaged half this amount. Be prepared to pay a lot for the auto work done here on your car. I instructed my son not to go back here. Very unhappy with their "robbery" setup. read more

This is the WORST place I've ever gotten my oil changed. I went there twice just to see if I had a fluke bad experience, but no, it was horrible both times. Both times the attendants were friendly but they continuously used scare tactics to try to get me to upgrade my oil change or buy one of their over priced services. Four men all speaking to me at once saying, "Oh this is bad. I can't believe you were driving like this and your car didn't break down." The money I ended up spending was outrageous but not as much as they were pushing me to spend. I left in tears and carefully drove my "ticking time bomb" as they put it, to a mechanic. I gave him the list of all the things they told me HAD to be done NOW. Funny thing, none of the things they told me were true. The mechanic wouldn't even take money for examining my car bc he said there was absolutely nothing wrong with it and they were jerks for trying to scare me like that. I've been driving my car for a year since that last Jiffy Lube stop, still getting regular oil changese and haven't done any of the unnecessary services they said my car wouldn't run a week without, and guess what, she's still going strong. Maybe this place only trys to take advantage of single young women. I don't know. But if you do go here, just get a basic oil change and leave. Don't let them scare into buying all their crap. I will not be bullied by this Jiffy Lube again! read more

Went to the shop and after them working on my Honda Element for 50 minutes I was told - we can't do it. (?!?) "you will need to go to another Jiffy Lube" - why didn't you tell me that to begin with? I was asked a couple times to upgrade from Conventional Oil Change $43.99 to $79.99 for High Mileage Oil Change and told him no because my hubs and I bought 2005 used Toyota Corolla and it was unnecessary and even though it had acrued 5000 miles since we purchased it, even at 80,000 miles is not necessary and did not indicate that the car would benefit from it because the engine is in excellent shape. Also, he asked about a $5 flush out old oil because it would help out the system but they are just trying to sell a bunch of services that bring in high profit margin and not make much money from basic oil change. They were pretty busy, with 5 other cars waiting to be serviced on a Tuesday at 3:00 pm but we got out within an hour. My coworker came here this past week and she said they sold her on Synthetic Oil because she probably needed it, but I feel $80 is expensive. She has a 2017 Toyota Corolla that is brand new with 8,000 miles and I guess a newer engine is more sensitive to low quality oil and needs Synthetic as a result and new engine specifications requires Synthetic Oil and costs more. read more

I went to Jiffy Lube for a simple oil change. The time it took was around 25-30 minutes. The waiting area is a little small but it does the job and is kept clean. They walked me out to show me that I needed some work on my transmission. I said no being that all I wanted was an oil change. I went to my trusted mechanic afterwards and he said nothing was wrong. Was it them trying to squeeze money out of me? Who knows. Anyways I end up paying $54 for a simple oil change! They did all of these checks and fixes even though I never instructed them to! This Jiffy Lube location is a real rip off. I had a Groupon and they promised a specific price to upgrade to a synthetic blend oil. They charged me for an extra quart of oil at eight dollars a quart and they didn't honor the quoted price for the upgrade. They wanted $50 to replace a very small paper air filter inside my car which was ridiculous. I have to say the service was good and I was in and out very quickly but that will be my last visit ever to a Jiffy Lube anywhere. read more

I have gone to Jiffy Lube for over 10 years at the Carrollwood location and started going here when that location closed. In a few short months, they have "convinced" me that I will NEVER return. The manager is rude and unprofessional totally lacking the skills necessary for dealing with customers. He did everything but call me a liar when he insisted they never cleaned the corrosion from my battery when it was done the visit prior. I left feeling angry and frustrated which is not a way I choose to start my day so never returning is a very easy solution, plus I was the only customer and they still didn't remember to reset my mileage to turn off my maintenance light! read more
