They forgot to put the cap on the radiator, put the wrong sticker on the window, and also when they asked, I got curious and asked for a quote on something that was intermittent. Guess what - magically after they looked at it and gave me a crazy quote, the part was permanently not working. Maybe coincidence (though their reaction makes me think otherwise), but when my husband who is from Middle East called them to ask about the service and complain about their lack of attention to detail, the manager was incredibly rude, and then started mocking his accent. My wife went to Jiffy Lube at 3240 NE Sandy Blvd. for an oil change and a check brake light. She was informed that rear brakes needed replacing, transmission fluid, radiator fluid, etc. etc. Total about $900 ("discounted" from $1100). We said no, just oil change, brake fluid. When she returned, car was parked outside. Agent sulked, said they'd run out of brake fluid, and no, he wouldn't do just do an oil change. Took the car to our trusted mechanic who reported brakes at 50%, adjusted tire pressure, no other problems. Oil change $45 (vs. $90 at JL). Total bill $245. Watch out for scams. I am a first time car owner who was never taught about how to keep up my own vehicle. I keep up with regular maintenance and came in for an oil change. At the desk someone asked me if I had ever had my oil flushed out. I said no and he strongly recommended I do it, I asked how often it gets done, and a few other questions that he answered well. I paid $100 for an "oil flush". I went home and looked it up and learned that it is one of the most common scams from repair shops. I've gone to other shops before and have never had someone try to pull a fast one on me. I felt stupid and used. I would strongly not recommend to women to come without much car knowledge. read more

Thought I would run my car in real quick for an oil change since my car's been sitting for awhile and wanted to get it back in action. This JL is a bit different than the other oil change places around town like Valvoline and Mieneke, in that they want you out of the vehicle while they are working on it. They escort you to a small "lounge" waiting area and you sit there and wait till they call you to follow them back to your car and that's where they gather your information or upsell. I totally understand they're a business and how that works so I don't mind the sales person trying to sell me windshield wiper replacement blades for $50.00, I just say no and move on. Having said that though, they sure gather a lot of information, maybe too much in my opinion. Also, for my safety they have me exit my car but then ask me to walk over to the car and gather info while people are running around working, I feel like I'm in the way and the floor is slippery. So after they were "done" I paid inside and then walked to my car to drive out, while driving out I looked at my seat and noticed the glove compartment was sitting on my passenger seat, I stopped my car and walked to my passenger side pulled out the glove compartment and showed the guy and he did come over to put it back. The next morning I opened my hood and noticed that the windshield wiper fluid was not topped off, in fact, not sure if they even added any. All & All ; instead of having the customer walk to their car why not invest in an iPad, this way the sales person can walk up to the customer. I'm beyond irate right now so this review might be skewed a little. I came here for an oil change because honestly it was next to Dave's Hot Chicken and I figured I could knock out no oil change and lunch together. My vehicle is 23 years old and with that it has its aging quirks. One being the drivers side door window control arm keeps failing. I've replaced it twice. It's about $225 to $300 to do so not to mention I time. Yes I do it myself. Pulling in I was informed that the techs now have to pull the vehicles in, customers are not allowed anymore, I assume they've had issues with safety. So I say to the gentleman who came out to help me, "my drivers side windows does not work. DO NOT ROLL IT DOWN!!!! I said this three times. I had him repeat it back to me. I explained how I've told other shops this and how it's been ignored. I explain how much it costs to repair it when and if I breaks. He asks if my passenger side window works and I say yes. I get out walk to the waiting room, check my email look up and see my car in the bay drivers side window down and at a weird angle. I open the door to see the first guy and three other techs standing around my door with a 'woops' look on their faces. I was out of line but I stepped out enraged and asked, "WHAT THE FUCK, HOW CLEAR WAS I? I TOLD YOU 3 TIMES. YOU REPEATED IT BACK TO ME. WHY IS MY WINDOW DOWN!?!?!?!?!?" It was explained to me that he was not the one who drove it and and it was a mistake. They got my window up, thank god. I yelled, (out of line again but still shaking and pissed off, nobody lower my window). The I assume manager told me there was no reason to yell. (Pretty sure I had a valid reason but ok. Was just trying to make sure everyone is a busy working shop heard me this time.) I told them I was leaving. There was no way I was letting this circus near my car. For some reason I was allowed to drive it out of the bay but not in it. I don't understand how hard, Don't roll this window down, was to understand and it why this was not communicated. I love this place. What's to love about an oil change service, you might wonder? Well it's the people. I've gone maybe 5 times, and each time, I am treated so kindly, I'm in and out in under 30 minutes, they remember me and my vehicle. I'm offered super competitive prices and directed to all of the promotions/coupons available. The guys take the time to teach me about what they're doing, and the follow up, what the pesky warning lights mean, and how to adjust the settings for my somewhat difficult to understand Audi Allroad. Achilles is outstanding. Frank is helpful and responsive, and all the others I've met but don't know the names of yet should be commended too. The waiting room is clean and stocked with water, and for the short length of time I've spent in them, they've been super comfortable. Thank you!! As a female with a nice car I came in for an oil change and had an awful experience. The man who got into my car to pull it into the bay decided it was a good idea to rev up my engine and have some fun. I get it, my car is fast and is probably nicer than the one this man drives. However it is very disrespectful to "play" with other people's property. I will not return to this location due to how I was treated as a young female. They did apologize however I do not accept because this was done intentionally. Get your own car to rev up and waste your own gas on. read more

First time at this location, but I've used Jiffy Lube for years for oil changes and other fluid replacements. As a standard part of JL service, they do point out all the things you might add to your service. I declined most of them and there was no pushback or issue. A lot of reviews cut stars for this, but all car shops do it. Above & beyond - I asked them to read the code for my check engine light, they did so quickly and without additional cost. - They found plastic piece hanging underneath my car, brought it to my attention, offered to fix it with a zip tie, did so after I gave consent. Room for improvement - There was no record of my car, even though I've used JL in another state for years. An issue for corporate, not the location staff. read more

This place is a serious scam. They under filled my oil by a full quart during my last oil change and almost cost me my engine. I should have stoped going to this location after previous bad experiences - during a different visit they told me that my brakes were so bad that my car was unsafe to drive however when I took my car to the Les Schwab down the street for a second opinion I was told my brakes were fine. Update, the email address they provide in reply is not a real email address. They make it look like they care about making bad service right, they don't. TL;DR: Jiffy Lube incorrectly installed our starter, breaking the intake manifold in the process, and then tried to charge us $500 for the repair, claiming we couldn't prove they'd done the damage. We took our car in for a starter replacement December or 2021 and then back again for an oil change, check engine light and loud engine sounds in March 2022 - it turns out Jiffy Lube techs had actually managed to break our intake manifold back in December during the starter install, but yesterday they tried to charge us $500 for the repair even though they caused the damage in the first place. One tech tried to tell me that they couldn't prove they had caused the damage because they don't keep records of their repairs for more than 3 months - that they had deleted it between December and March, which is just unbelievable. After running it up to the manager he reluctantly agreed to do the work for free and said he'd call me in 1.5 to 2 hours. I waited 3 hours and when I returned after no call and the car was still in pieces - apparently the part needed replacement and they had gotten too busy to call and let me know. The car now had to stay overnight, but the repair was scheduled for the next morning. I took an hour long bus home. Fast forward to today and I call in at 11am to, surprise, no part, and the manager James said he didn't even know how his estimate of this morning could be accurate with how far the part had to travel, and that he was again so busy he couldn't give me an exact time to pick up the car. I called back at 1 and was told it would be done by 3 at the latest. I showed up at 3:30, assuming they would be late, and the car still wasn't ready until after 4. I'm glad they fixed the damage they caused for free, but the lack of communication and the attempt to get out of doing it are enough to keep me from ever coming back. read more

Today I took my work truck to Jiffy Lube for an oil change. Last time we took the smaller truck I did not keep an eye on them and they never topped off the window wash fluid. And never showed me the air filter. So today I stayed in the truck and watched them. They asked me multiple times to go in the customer service area. I said no I am straight up watching you guys to make sure you do your job correctly. They were so dang slow. I watched him check the air filter. Then lied to me about needing our radiator flushed. We just had the truck serviced. I said are you going to check the tires? The Manager goes the air pump on this side does not work. So he goes to the other side. He goes we cannot check the dually tires. I said check what you can. He checks and says the front tires are low. I said is it because of the cold weather? He said probably. They ring me out out. The Bill is $199.00 I said you have to be kidding me. We did use the Synthetic Oil. The Manager goes blame it on China. I go outside and look at the work record. Because he walked out after ringing me up. I said wait a minute it says you tested the battery? When did that happen. He said oh we did not? I than look it said they looked at the brake pads. I said when did this happen. He said when the truck was outside. I said I was in the truck and nobody looked at the tire depth or brakes. The Manager gets mad and said why are you harassing us. I said making sure you do your job. He goes we are only down to 4 people and we are short staffed. I said so my Manager who is paying $199 is getting terrible service? He is getting mad saying you do not understand. I said really how is that. He says you do not work in customer service. I said really I am the only driver. I get in my truck. He follows me as I am trying to leave yelling at me. I said look do your job. He says do not tell me how to do my job. I said again to do your job. He goes do not come back. I said you do realize we are a fleet. He tells me to F... Off. I went back to work and grabbed my new Manager and said follow me. We walked into the branch Managers office. I explained to him what happened. He said I hate Jiffy Lube. He looks at the Manager and said find me a new mechanic that does oil changes. I went in for a simple oil change but I bought a used Subaru over the summer and wasn't aware of the upkeep. Turns out, an oil change for a Subaru is a little more pricey. Also, there were a few other things that were coming up as needing attention. It was a perfect storm but, I bought this car for snow and road trips and want it running tip top. The technicians were informative and helpful and not pushy at all. I did get a few things done and put off a few until next time. They also applied coupons and discounts to help out! The person who was in the office was really friendly and welcoming and all the work took about 35 minutes. All of the people there were warring masks and respected distancing. Would give zero stars if it was possible. They charged me twice for a DEQ test although I failed, the second time they told me I passed when I didn't. Other jiffy lube locations do not charge for DEQ tests if it's a failure. The person who I assumed was the manager was extremely rude to me because I didn't want a service there because I thought it was a bit overpriced. Next time I came back they said "oh look who it is." Stay far away and go to the Jiffy Lube on Cesar Chavez instead. Thankfully the Social Media Manager Paige reached out to me and issued a $40 refund since that location shouldn't have charged me for a failed DEQ test. She was very kind and to the point. She also is going to forward my feedback over to the Area Manager for some extra coaching for his team, which I hope will be helpful! For the love of god DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. If I could give y'all negative stars I would. I've always done my own oil changes and for the first time in my life I was in a hurry so I took it here. When I got home the same oil filter was there, I knew it was the same bc I always write the previous millage on it with a sharpie so I know when it was done. The car is a grand Cherokee with a 5.7 hemi that takes 7 quarts of oil and when I got home I check the dipstick and it was dry. Not even a drop on it. After draining it barely even 5 quarts came out. AND THEY CHARGED ME FOR THE EXTRA 2 QUARTS. Jesus Christ y'all are the dumbest set of "mechanics" to ever hold a wrench. Think about how many other vehicles they half a$$ed and sent on their way without a single care. These guys are a complete joke. The good: Went right when they opened on a weekday and got immediate service. Folks working there were friendly and courteous. The oil change was done fairly quickly, and they accepted my $25 coupon. Without the mishap below, it would have been a cheap and quick stop. The less good: I've never been to a Jiffy Lube. I got offered an oil flush, which I really thought I heard the guy say was $9.99. It would have been nice to see the number in writing while he was talking, instead of standing in the garage where it was noisy. I don't drive my car a ton and I go longer stretches between oil changes, so I figured it sounded fine. When I went to pay, I learned that service was in fact *$99.99*. Ouch. And when I poked around on the internet later, I saw all the articles/reviews about how my car almost certainly didn't need an oil flush, and how it can actually damage the car. Super frustrating that they would even offer it. I'm annoyed about the money, but way WAY more upset that I got offered a service I didn't need and that might screw my car up (and right before a road trip too). I went in with a plan to JUST get an oil change and decline anything else they offered. I nearly succeeded, but unfortunately this was a big mistake. Usually I research anything extra like that, but for (what I thought was) $9.99 I figured it wouldn't be a big deal. Finally, the guy who sold me the flush promised me at least $10 off. A different guy rang me up, and in my total shock over the bill I forgot about the promised discount. The first guy walked in after the transaction was over to say he was sorry he wasn't there to give me the discount, but he'd take care of me next time. A nice thought, but I also just felt like I was getting dupped again ("Oh darn, just missed the change to give you that coupon!"). Although the people there were nice, I won't be back. AN HOUR AND 15 MINUTES LATER my car was FINALLY ready. When I asked why it had taken so long instead of the normal 20-30min, I was blown off.
