I called the day before to ask what time they close on Memorial Day (only day I have off to get an oil change done) they tell me they close at 4. I show up to the business at 2:30. I can see the employees in the shop. They can see me. The mechanic continues to walk around (we keep staring at one another while I'm parked right in front of the garage). Around 3:00 he and another jiffy lube worker closed the shop, got in their car and drove off. Arrived looking to get an inspection sticker. They said it would be an hour which was alright with me. I patiently waited. An hour and fifteen minutes later they told me it would be an additional hour maybe more. They needed to wait for parts for a car that was also in for an inspection. I asked why if they are waiting for parts for an issue found during an inspection, they couldn't pull that car out and run mine through in the meantime. Because we already started pulling the car apart and it was the only bay which can perform inspections. If you have three bays and only one that performs inspections there is no reason why a repair job should be performed in the specialized bay. The other bays were empty the entire time. If the mechanics here cannot understand a simple concept such as this, then I would never want them working on my vehicle. read more

Nothing "jiffy" about this place. Brought my car in for a quick oil change and took nearly an hour. There was only one other car in the shop. People are sitting around on their phones, not doing anything. Place has gone downhill over the last decade. Avoid this place if you're in a hurry. I would give zero stars if there was an option. I went to get a safety inspection done after I called first & was told it's a first come first serve basis. When I pulled in, the 3 bays were empty, no customers at all. As I parked in the parking lot an attendant approached and asked what I needed. I told him a safety inspection & he proceeded to lie and tell me there were too many appointments ahead of me & that they couldn't help me. I let him know I had called earlier & was told first come first serve. I really hate being lied to & when I called him out he said he would speak to his service manager. I drove in and was immediately brought into the bay, which is good, but only indicates that I chose a dead time to go. The girl who helped me (B.S.) did not perform many of the tasks in the "signature service". She did not check my lights, wipers, didn't wash exterior windows... I specifically asked how the air filter was, since I know it hadn't been changed in a while. She told me it was good. I asked if she checked it; she lied to me and said that she did. I was sitting in the car (because covid) and saw that she did not. I have doubts that she checked other fluids as well. I paid $95 to be lied to. Drove to an auto parts store, where inspection of the filter showed it to be filthy. Spoke with the manager today, who wanted me to drive back to have the car checked again. SHORT REVIEW: My visit was anything but Jiffy. It took nearly 90 minutes of waiting for a simple oil change - with no line in front of me other than the single vehicle in each of the three bays when I arrived. The "extra services" they marked completed were in fact NOT completed including checking lights and vacuuming. BOTTOM LINE: Price was a few dollars cheaper but my experience was not worth returning for at any price. My advice: get your oil change anywhere else but here. FULL EXPERIENCE: I've had a coupon for $8.50 off an oil change on the bulletin board by my front door forever. Needing an oil change before a recent road trip and having limited time, decided to give these guys a try and save a few dollars. (I normally use Valvoline in Nashua for fast oil changes but I've been to other Jiffy Lube locations out-of-state with no issues in the past.) When I arrived the three bays were full but no line at all. I was instructed to wait in the waiting room, so my five year old and I found the last two seats in the tiny area still available and took our seat. Just shy of ONE HOUR later the service manager finally came in to holler our vehicle's brand & model. Leads me out to cover options and try to sell me every add-on found on his computer screen. That's to be expected though - just doing his job. Feeling a bit testy after the long wait and thinking the price for a high-mileage oil change sounded a little high I called Valvoline right there in front of the service manager to double-check prices before giving my ok to continue but appears Jiffy Lube is indeed a little bit cheaper even at base price. Alright, gave my ok for the oil change and went back to play tic-tac-toe a while longer with my son. (Should be just another 5-10 minutes I was told.) A half-hour later they were FINALLY done with my truck. The manager had me come to the counter, got my payment, told me everything was all set. Looking at the receipt I see they marked as "COMPLETED" the lights check, vacuum floors, etc. So now I have an idea what must have taken so long. Only, no word about the light I already knew to be out and intended to replace myself. So I asked the manager about it who yells out the door at the mechanic to ask if they checked lights. No idea what they said, but I told the manager I intended to replace it myself anyhow (not to mention I simply needed to get out of there sometime that day to finish preparing for my trip which I didn't voice). On the drive home I looked down to the floorboard by my feet... and across at the floorboard in front of the passenger seat... and noticed it hadn't been touched. Goodness! What in the world WERE they doing in there? More importantly, why did they mark these items as completed if they were not? I called the manager and asked if they indeed are supposed to vacuum. Yes. My truck wasn't touched I told him. He responded they won't vacuum if there is trash on the floor. Hmm... ok, there was an empty chip bag in the corner of the passenger side floor. Nothing by my feet except your standard accumulated sand & grit I told him. He apologized and said he'd be happy to give me half off my next oil change. I appreciated the gesture I told him, but my time is worth more than a few dollars savings. And honestly, they've lost my trust that they know what they're doing - and more importantly, that they're honest. There are other places in town to get your oil changed. The team here is AMAZING! The new manager Ryan (With a beard) is so friendly, professional, and actually cares about his customers. I went in for an oil change and both the manager and one of the other techs did a full inspection on the inside of my car. They looked at all of my fluid levels and noticed that my brake fluid needed to be flushed. He explained the cost, what happens if i dont change it, what happens when i will change it, and how long it will take. They answered all of my questions and showed me the most compassion. The tech Ryan (With hair, no beard. Younger guy) noticed I had a small chip in my windshield and explained how we would be able to fix it quickly and easily. I highly recommend this place. Everyone I have talked to in the building is amazing. The team is highly knowledgeable but also treats everyone with respect, not as a dollar sign. Took my car in for oil change and inspection, Tech said they would be a slight delay for the inspection, other car ahead of me. Hour and half later asked Tech why car was not done he said they only one inspector and he told me I would have to wait. 20 minutes later he hands me a list of things that were wrong with my brakes, he said there was rust on the disk and assumed the pads not connecting to the disk. Expand this is my 4th car and sat covered all winter and it should be rust on the disk and we are only five minutes from Jiffy lube. Please don't make the same mistake I did, make sure they put your car back on the lift and show you the problems. Julion and Jenn are amazing. I needed a new battery and I was in and out quickly. There was an issue with the key fobs after, which they fixed. Amidst this, I had to call Honda for a code (and got the runaround, Honda claimed it was an electric issue and that I had yo take the car to them). Julion replaced a burnt out fuse n/c, fixed the fob issue w/o Honda getting involved, and Jenn got the radio and all my dash lights working (n/c). These guys saved me a day of grief at a dealership and probably hundreds of dollars in 'labor/parts'. This Jiffy Lube is now my go-to. Note: this is e. hollis st, NOT amherst st. In the world of instant oil changes, all I ask is that they not screw it up. I've had a dozen oil changes here and haven't had a problem. They do it quickly while you wait. Only downside is the price. Its about $60 for 6 quarts of Mobil 1. But they vacuum and check everything. There are coupons on the back of Shaw's receipts. read more

It has to be about 20 years I've been going there, on a neighbor's recommendation. Not as convenient a location for me these days, I sometimes stray, but return to this location as no one comes close to their speed and quality of service. Not only are they done in a snap but give the car back clean (no grease on the steering wheel, etc.). For the first time ever, something didn't go well recently, as I discovered after my service. My family has been going here for years. We will not be going back again. I brought my car in for a simple oil change. The manager Ryan could not get my name right called me Kristin then Alicia, my name is Krista. He then tried to tell me my windshield was going to crack and I needed new lights and many other things I did not need. I was fine looking at my car with him and seeing if I should indeed make these changes to help my car but the way in which he spoke to me was demeaning and sexist, he takes down to me and acted like because I was a young woman I could not possibly know what was wrong with my car. I mean he could have tried to get my name right. When I told him I had been here in the past and never received this kind of treatment he then began to bash former employees to acustomer and said Megan was a problem at the store and was gone now. I happened to love Megan and had brought my car to this specific jiffy lube which is farther away from my home just for her honesty and kind customer service. For oil changes, these guys are great. I've been here many times and spent lots of money on oil changes and never had a problem. My issue is that they shouldn't be doing inspections. They don't know what they're doing. I got my car inspected here a couple weeks ago because it was convenient. They failed me because there was no door handle on the rear passenger side door, there was a nail in one tire and I needed to serpentine belts replaced. After failing me, they removed my valid inspection sticker from the previous year which was valid until the end of the month. I didn't realize it had been removed until I got pulled over for no inspection sticker. At that point, after being late to work, my fiancé called to complain about them removing the sticker. The person on the phone told him that "cops can't pull you over for not having an inspection sticker on your car. The cop needs to go back to school." So...my fiancé called the DMV to inquire as to whether this guy knows what he's talking about. Turns out he doesn't. Cops absolutely can pull you over for no inspection sticker (obviously) and NO ONE other than a cop is allowed to remove your sticker from your car. Needless to say, I was pulled over 2 more times before the next week when I was able to take my car to a real mechanic who has been in business for over 30 years. Not only did he say there was no nail in my tire, but he said they are not allowed to fail you on serpentine belts or on no outside door handle. There has to be a handle inside, the outside doesn't matter. He did, however, fail me because one of my windows didn't go all the way down. Something Jiffy Lube never even mentioned. Anyway, my fiancé called to lodge a complaint with the district manager a week and a half ago. He was supposed to call back in 3-4 days. Haven't heard back. We won't be spending one more cent at Jiffy Lube ever. If you make a mistake, admit it! read more

I have a relatively new car in good condition. I went in to Jiffy Lube to get it inspected. They failed the inspection claiming the brakes needed to be replaced. They specifically said the brakes were "junk." They then tried to sell me new brakes for $400. I found this fishy, so I took it to a Meineke to have the brakes checked. They said the brakes were all had more than 50% life remaining and certainly were not in a condition to fail a state inspection. Meineke performed another inspection and passed me. Also, at my most recent oil change at Sears, they also said my brakes were fine. I wouldn't be surprised if they failed all state inspections cause of brakes. read more

Complete hacks my grandparents went there and they charged her for front, rear differential fluids to be change and also transfer case fluid. The transfer case was completely wrong fluid saying there put gear oil in it when it was transmission fluid that was needed to be put in. So anyway I checked it out myself and it was dark dirty purple which was obviously not service and was just a theft of service. The assistant manager Chris was the one working when I went back and wanted my money back and he said he couldn't do anything for me and walked away like what I was saying didn't even matter to him and thought it was a joke. Anyways I am not wasting my time and or money to deal with the ignorant people that will do nothing at all for me besides waste my time. This was a theft of service and I have been around cars long enough to know the service was not performed and was thought by them they could get a extra 70 bucks out of elderly people and do nothing for them. I recommend not to bring your car here for any service to anybody and i hope the 70 bucks they ripped my grandparents off makes them lose thousands from people seeing this and decided to go somewhere else. wish I couldn't even give this place a star. read more

I was traveling and heard a hard scrapping of the brakes that needed immediate attention, I found them open on a holiday. The manager was very professional and they showed me that I had worn that brake past the pad into the metal, gouging out groves and causing the sound. They ordered the parts and fixed it within 2 hours and I was back on the road. And over $100 cheaper then my brother paid for similar service at a dealer about 6 months ago. I had never stopped before and i am not sure about other Jiffy's but i will back to this one again after this experience. read more

Recently I had some work done on my Jeep (new wheel hubs and u-joints) in order to pass inspection. These guys went above and beyond to get this work done for me, even working past closing. Ryan and crew where nice and showed me the parts that were failing (which I already knew about) before doing anything. They gave me several quotes for different parts and even calling Chrysler to figure out the exact model hubs I needed. They did the work perfectly and now my jeep drives smooth. Their rates are pretty reasonable compared to other local mechanics. My only gripe is that they only have 1 or 2 people doing inspections and real mechanical work. I had visited here a number of times during the week hoping to get a quick inspection out of the way only to be told that no inspectors were in at the time. I did hear that they are hiring more people so hopefully this issue is resolved in the future. read more

really dont there! after 4 years of oil changes and the great laundry list of all the fluid checks/top-offs, i had to trade in my 5 year old flex for a new one. the old started to show clunks and bump on the highway with hills.. hmmm wonder whats up at 69 k miles.. well while at the tire guys..asked what do you think about the clunking at highway speeds with the transmission..the guy pulled out the dip stick... after 4 years going to jiffy lube the tranny fluid was down 2 and 1/2 quarts! you have to literally remove the air filter canister to find the dip stick and well jiffy lube doesnt have the guys to know or bother to find out! heres the pain in the but part.. back in 2013 i got an interest rate of 1.25 percent at a local credit union and was hoping to keep the car long time. well with a newer car because i dont want to deal with transmission repairs down the road .. the interest rate is double.. so you add up the real cost....dont go to jiffy lube unless you check out all the fluids yourself.. at 50 60 bucks a pop i thought i could leave to those guys! read more
